There are no such things as coincidences in the world of politics. Did Covid and BLM anarchy just happen to coincide with Trump’s reelection year? Did JFK and reporter Dorothy Kilgallen just happen to die after running afoul with the mob?
Add this next question to the list: Did Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which is leading to catastrophic gas and oil prices, just happen to make desired climate change policies a sudden reality? While the rest of the world is devolving into a left-right political debate over who supports whom, my initial response was the frightening reality that driving cars, heating homes, and growing crops
The Communists who stole the election and then crippled the American Oil Industry are to blame. With oil at $40 per barrel, Russia couldn’t afford to attack anyone…

I'd venture to say that only about 1 in 20 climate change warriors actually believe in the pseudoscience behind their claims; however, the other 19 in 20 believe in total government control by any means necessary. The article mentions that the internal combustion engine equates to freedom, which is why the left is doing everything a complacent population allows it to do to rid our country of pesky motor vehicles. That our federal government is leading the headlong race to national extinction, is sufficient reason push back on the whole cabal by all means available. Growing up in the 60s, I was very proud of my dad's service in WWII and Korea and later, his multiple tours in Vietnam, even though the outcome fell short of the WWII aftermath. How will our kids and grandkids view our generation and how we collectively reacted to our Constitution methodically being pushed aside and the constant drumbeat of our country being pulled into totalitarianism?

If I hear any more about how much pain we need to endure, I'm going to start suspecting that was the whole point.

Biden killed our energy independence and intentionally drove oil prices through the roof, with one objective of forcing people into electric vehicles and increasing inflation among other things. Putin loves high oil prices because it pays for his military costs. When we had $40/Bbl oil Putin was losing money. The best way to sanction Putin is to open our oil production and cost him some real money. Do sanctions stop the tanks missiles and fighter jets?

Since we’re not sanctioning oil and gas from Russia, we’re actually helping Putin kill Ukrainians. Biteme must be so proud.

Are they going to "Subsidize it"
No...there is no place to actually get it from other than Russia. Even if they expanded rather than abandoned North sea drilling, fracking on land, tried to bring back nukes, any new wells are months/years away from producing, and russia could stop that at will anyway, militarily.
It is winter NOW.
They will HAVE to buy it from him, meaning they will do NOTHING about Ukraine.
Trump demanded they ramp up, actually get serious about self defense and self sufficiency, they refused...said HE was a baaaaaad man. Now they are locked into dealing with the Vlad Man.

PS: The same thing applies to fertilizers....without heavy applications the crop yields are terrible, Russia controls their supplies and supply lines.
Kerry is yapping about Global warming and claiming Putin is "Most at risk" from it...the warming(very slightly) areas of Siberia, (the sparsest populated large area of the planet)...have allowed Russia to find MASSSIVE new oil/gas fields, and expand agriculture production areas by hundreds of square miles. Russia's ever growing fleet of supersized nuke powered Ice Breakers is allowing them to get materials/equipt and construction/drilling crews into their most northern territories...and get PRODUCT out. They are building fleets of Heavy sided, Ice Capable tankers and freight ships.

Maybe high fuel prices will help the rich globalists with their climate change agenda, but for sure very high gasoline prices are not going to help the Democrats in the USA win the November election. That’s just common sense.

all I can say is: if these repubs get to control the House and Senate, as they are predicting, they had better get this economy back on its feet or else they are toast, also.

My take is a bit different. I have no problem with the cost of gas going to $15/20 per gallon. It will be a daily reminder to all who voted for this idiot that elections do have consequences.

If the left had set out years ago and said, "How can we screw up the country and the world," this would've been their strategy. And maybe it was.
