Just as Vietnam was dubbed “the living room war” as it played out across televisions often during the dinner hour, the Russia-Ukraine conflict may become known as the war fought on social media—and the first story to be told is that of the Ghost of Kyiv. On February 24, the first day of the conflict, a story emerged on Ukraine’s official Twitter channel about an unnamed Ukrainian pilot who allegedly shot down six Russian aircraft within the first 30 hours of the war. The Twitter channel said four more were shot down as of February 26.
The pilot, heralded as a hero for his actions, was given the nickname

The committee in the US House of Representatives investigation the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 said in a court filing Wednesday it believes that former President Donald Trump violated 'multiple laws' in his attempt to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election. The court document was filed in federal court in Los Angeles as part of the U.S. House of Representative Select Committee's dispute with John Eastman, a lawyer who advised Trump on a plan to invalidate election results in key battleground states. Eastmann is behind the notorious 'coup memo,' which argued that former Vice President Mike Pence had unilateral power to overturn Trump's loss to Joe Biden.

President Joe Biden drew ire from Democrats and Republicans alike during his first State of the Union address, and it was surprisingly on the same issue.Pivoting off the topic of COVID-19, Biden attempted to transition into a plan for the future that would unite Americans. He brought up the deaths of New York Police Department officers Jason Rivera, 22, and Wilbert Mora, 27, who were killed in the line of duty after being ambushed on a domestic disturbance call.Biden left out the ambush stating, “They were responding to a 911 call when a man shot and killed them with a stolen gun.”

New York - A judge has rejected an effort by New York’s attorney general to put the National Rifle Association out of business, but will allow her lawsuit accusing top executives of illegally diverting tens of millions of dollars from the powerful gun advocacy organization to proceed.
Manhattan Judge Joel M. Early on in the COVID pandemic, people suspected that the deaths attributed to the infection were exaggerated. There was plenty of evidence for this. For starters, hospitals were instructed and incentivized to mark any patient who had a positive COVID test and subsequently died within a certain time period as a COVID death.
At the same time, we knew that the PCR test was unreliable, producing inordinate amounts of false positives. Now, the truth is finally starting to come out and, as suspected,

China asked Vladimir Putin to delay any invasion of Ukraine until after the Winter Olympics in Beijing, according to a Western intelligence report.
It suggests officials in China may have had some indication of Mr Putin's plans before he went ahead. Beijing denied the assertion as "baseless speculation" and an "attempt to smear China".
A Western official told the New York Times the report did not make clear if it was Putin and Xi Jinping who discussed the matter, or some of their officials.
The Olympic closing ceremony took place on Feb 20. On the following day Putin recognised two breakaway areas in Ukraine and sent troops in to help separatists.

A Massachusetts judge may face prosecution after a federal appeals court on Monday declined to dismiss a case that accuses her of blocking the arrest of an illegal immigrant.
In a criminal case filed during the Trump administration, Newton District Court Judge Shelley Joseph is accused of impeding a federal immigration arrest of a defendant in her courtroom in 2018. Court papers say the judge blocked a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent from detaining a man that left through a rear door.
Her lawyers sought to argue that she enjoyed immunity as a judge to allow the illegal immigrant to leave the courtroom, and that the prosecution was unconstitutional.

Nearly $9 million in Zuckerberg grant funds directed solely to five Democratic strongholds in Wisconsin violated the state’s election code’s prohibition on bribery. That conclusion represents but one of the many troubling findings detailed in the report submitted today by a state-appointed special counsel to the Wisconsin Assembly.
Last August, Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos

President Joe Biden used his first State of the Union speech on Tuesday night to call out Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and vowed to tame surging inflation and the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden underscored in his 62-minute address that much of the world is united against Russia as he tried to make Americans feel optimistic about the future — despite his first year in office being plagued by economic and public health woes. Here are a few key moments from Biden’s address:

In a move that likely angered his environment-conscious base, the White House has issued a muted request for U.S. oil companies to increase crude oil production in the wake of high crude oil and gasoline prices. Though words are different than deeds—and President Joe Biden’s deeds have been decisively anti-fossil fuel expansion—a White House official told U.S. oil companies on Tuesday that they could increase production if they want.

Easily distracted by wall-to-wall news coverage of the latest crisis and conveniently diverted by news cycles that change every few days, Americans remain oblivious to the many governmental abuses that are still wreaking havoc on our freedoms: police shootings of unarmed individuals, invasive surveillance, roadside blood draws, roadside strip searches, SWAT team raids gone awry, the military industrial complex’s costly wars, pork barrel spending, pre-crime laws, civil asset forfeiture, fusion centers, militarization, armed drones, smart policing carried out by AI robots, courts that march in lockstep with the police state, schools that function as indoctrination centers, and bureaucrats that keep the Deep State in power.

The tyranny we’ve seen inflicted in the name of COVID on citizens around the world has been both widespread and disturbing. In China, where the pandemic originated, the communist government set the bar for authoritarianism by welding shut the doors of apartment buildings. We’ve seen vaccine passports in countries as varied as Switzerland and Thailand. And of course, vaccine and mask mandates in the US, Canada, and elsewhere have stirred outrage among the populace.
But when it comes to prolonged and persistent autocracy, Australia has been a global leader. And wouldn’t you know it? We found out yesterday that Australia’s Prime Minister, the Honorable Scott Morrison, has tested positive for COVID.

Carjackings have skyrocketed 200% — or more — in multiple big cities across the county in past years, as law enforcement officials and crime experts pleaded with lawmakers on Tuesday for help addressing the rampant issue, with one official warning: "Anyone in a car is a potential victim." Law enforcement executives and officials from crime monitoring agencies from across the country convened on Capitol Hill on Tuesday morning to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee for a hearing to address the startling trends related to carjackings. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has caused confusion with her reaction to a moment during President Joe Biden's State of the Union speech on Tuesday. Biden was speaking about the dangers soldiers faced in Afghanistan and Iraq when Pelosi's response to this topic sparked debate on social media. Biden said one of the dangers was soldiers breathing in toxic smoke from burn pits while at their bases. At this moment, Pelosi began to rise to her feet while rubbing her knuckles together and smiling. Applause can also be heard from the crowd. This moment has been viewed over 1.5

Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day, is March 2. It celebrates both the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel and the importance of reading.
Dr. Seuss can not whine,
Though he was canceled this day,
By President Biden,
And the cold NEA.
Seuss sat there for decades,
His birthday they used,
To encourage kids’ reading,
To instruct and amuse.
Too racist is Seuss,
And too old, dead, and pale,
Too old for the times,
Too cruel and too male.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk blasted President Joe Biden following his State of the Union address, noting his decision to ignore Tesla in favor of Ford and GM’s new electric vehicle ventures.
During his speech on Tuesday evening, President Biden nodded to Ford and its manufacturing in the United States. While the White House has frequently lauded the efforts of Ford and GM, Tesla — the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer — has often been omitted. The snubbing may lie in the fact that Tesla is not unionized, as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki hinted last year when she was asked why Tesla was not invited

"Few pieces of legislation have done more in a critical moment in our history to lift us out of a crisis.” That was how President Joe Biden, early in his State of the Union address, described the $2 trillion “American Rescue Plan.” It’s hard to know where to begin in unpacking why this is so incredibly wrong.
But Biden himself provided one answer by spending much of his speech talking about how he’s going to fight rising inflation. The very inflation that the “American Rescue Plan” unleashed.
Put another way, what Biden said is that Americans need relief from Biden’s “rescue.”

Not surprisingly, President Biden’s SOTU speech was a pack of lies from start to finish. He takes no responsibility for baiting Putin into attacking Ukraine by threatening to welcome them into NATO. He never meant it of course. It was all a ploy, a disaster of his own making by stopping our own Keystone pipeline and all oil drilling on federal land the day he took office and ending the sanctions President Trump had put on Nord Stream 2, the Russian pipeline to Germany. Biden’s own incompetence and capitulation to the insane climate alarmists pulling his strings forced Germany into the economic arms of fuel-rich Russia.

Yes, this is a puff piece. But when you spend your days reading about Ukraine, the economy, the border, and all the other miserable things in 2022, and then spend another two hours on Biden’s state of the union address (one hour listening to it and a second hour writing about it), you have to take pleasure wherever you can find it. And—oh, my goodness!—did I find it in a video someone grabbed of a local Pittsburgh news station’s report about a local crime. (Hat tip: Twitchy.)
What you must understand is that the news report ran a few hours before the state of the union address.

Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert heckled President Biden Tuesday at his first State of the Union address — making rare breaches of etiquette to show their disapproval of various Biden policies.Greene (R-Ga.) made faces and muttered throughout Biden’s roughly one hour speech, particularly when he spoke about administering COVID-19 vaccines to children — but Boebert (R-Colo.) earned greater gasps for slamming Biden’s Afghanistan exit by invoking the deaths of 13 US troops in an August bombing at Kabul’s airport. Many of Greene’s utterances were inaudible to reporters,

Ever since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the western public has been carpet bombed with the claim that Russian president Vladimir Putin is some sort of unhinged madman. This notion is being feverishly spread by the establishment and those in its pay: the political class, the media and the commentariat, career diplomats and technocrats as well as those connected to the security and intelligence communities.
The most remarkable thing about the Mad Vlad claim is that it is obviously false.
Whatever Vladimir Putin may be, he is certainly no irrational madman.

WASHINGTON— President Joe Biden related a faulty Democratic talking point about guns in his first State of the Union speech, made his plan on electric vehicles sound more advanced than it is and inflated the sweep of his infrastructure package. On several fronts, he presented ambitions as achievements.A look at some of his claims Tuesday night and a glance at the Republican response: COVID-19 -BIDEN: “Severe cases are down to a level not seen since July of last year.” THE FACTS: Biden overstated the improvement, omitting a statistic that remains a worrisome marker of the toll from COVID-19. While hospitalizations indeed are down from last summer, deaths remain high.

Exxon Mobil said it will pull its $4billion Russian oil and gas operations and halt new investments as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The decision, which was made on Tuesday, will see Exxon pull out of managing its large oil and gas production facilities on Sakhalin Island in Russia's Far East. This decision puts the fate of a proposed multi-billion dollar liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility there in doubt.'We deplore Russia's military action that violates the territorial integrity of Ukraine and endangers its people,' the company said in a statement critical of the intensifying military attacks

President Joe Biden stumbled through his State of the Union address on Tuesday, flubbing several lines from his prepared text and ad-libbing lines that did not make sense. Here is a list of his biggest mistakes:
1. Biden mistakenly says “Iranian people” instead of “Ukrainian people.”“Putin may circle Kyiv with tanks, but he will never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people,” he said in his speech.According to his prepared text, he was supposed to say “hearts and souls of the Ukrainian people.”
2. Biden refers to “a pound of Ukrainian people” Biden referred to “a pound of Ukrainian people.” His prepared text said “proud.”

Gerhard Schröder, who works for oil giants Gazprom and Rosneft, has been pressed to disavow the war in Ukraine. His silence has caused some of his staff to quit in protest and business partners are distancing themselves.
Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder found himself on Tuesday increasingly pressed to distance himself from his close relationships to Russian businesses and leaders following Thursday's invasion of Ukraine. A member of the center-left Social Democrats (SPD), Schröder was the head of Germany's government from 1998 to 2005. Since leaving office, he has parlayed friendships with Moscow's elite, including President Vladimir Putin, into high-profile jobs at Russian oil giants like Gazprom and Rosneft.

One year into his presidency, it seems like Joe Biden and the Democrats in Washington, D.C. have sent the country back in time to the late-1970s and early 80s, “when runaway inflation was hammering families, a violent crime wave was crashing our cities, and the Soviet army was trying to redraw the world map,” Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds said Tuesday night, in the official Republican response to Biden’s State of the Union address.
Speaking in front of the Iowa state capitol in Des Moines, Reynolds attacked Biden’s international and domestic record, and she made the case for putting faith in the American people. Dressed in red and wearing
