President Biden said Wednesday that he’s open to banning Russian oil imports as he accused Moscow’s invading troops of intentionally targeting residential areas in Ukraine. Biden, facing calls to sanction Russia’s lucrative energy exports, indicated his willingness to go further after claiming Tuesday night in his first State of the Union address that “we prepared extensively and carefully” to respond to Russia’s attack.Critics slammed Biden last week for implementing initially limited sanctions as tanks rolled across Ukraine’s borders and as Russian jets bombed targets across the former Soviet republic.

The national shortfall of oil will be replaced by all those Delaware oil wells.

I get it. Sure. But we've all learned early on that there are trade-offs. So, if you don't want to produce energy in the US, if you don't want to buy it from Russia, and if you don't want the US economy to suffer, what do you do? You can wish upon a magic lamp, but seriously, what do you do? What is it with democrats that they are unable to answer that question as part of their platform. They will say, green energy. What about green energy? Sure, it's nice when the wind's blowing, or the sun's shining, and we have battery technology that as of today doesn't exist. But we're not talking about 20 years from now, we're talking about today. So, do we develop our energy resources or do we pay Russia and the middle east? Why is that a difficult question to answer?

It serves his purpose of being able to blame the high fuel prices in an election year on Russia. I don't think, however, that the 81 million Americans who "voted" for him will soon forget America's oil independence and $2/gallon prices under Trump.

Good idea. Ban Russian oil while cutting back our production. $8 a gallon gas on the way. Keep it up Joe, the backfire on your party in November will be historic and unbelievable.

The news is finally beginning to leak out. Putin has legitimate concerns. He warned NATO this would happen if they pushed too far... they pushed too far on purpose. This is Biden's war. This is NATO's war. Stop believing the lies that the media is shoveling... and sadly people are believing the lies... again.

Oil is fungible, so banning imports from one particular country would be ineffective.
He refuses to take the one action that would be effective; increase domestic production and export oil onto the market. It would drive down the price. The combined production of US, Canada, and Mexico could be increased to take advantage of the current prices.

idiocy is the hallmark of the Brandon admin. He shuts down US oil production. Gas prices go up. He then buys it from Russia. Gas prices go higher. Russia, flus with oil cash has the resources to invade Ukraine, and they do. Biden considers not buying oil from Russia. Effing idiot!

Joe will do anything to make EVs more competitive, even spark a war with Russia to run up gasoline prices.
He doesn't give a shlt for the US economy, or the hardship of ordinary Americans.
