Former AG Bill Barr outs himself as an
establishment swamp creature

Original Article

When I think of former Attorney General William Barr, I think of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Part of him is an upstanding figure who respected constitutional limitations; another part of him is a loyal swamp creature who desperately wanted to serve a milquetoast George W. Bush (or George H.W. Bush) only to find himself working for a vigorous, aggressive Donald J. Trump. Both those aspects of his personality apparently come through loud and clear in a new 600-page book (and doorstop) in which he narrates his stints as U.S. Attorney General under both George Bush, Sr., and Donald Trump.

Comments:

And yet we were all told by a powerful inside the beltway Washington DC couple, who I haven’t heard from in quite awhile, that the butcher of Ruby Ridge was an honorable man.

No surprise, every old timer in DC was out to get President Trump. Like he said, “I didn’t realize how deep and big it was”. We should vote to move our Capitol to another neutral area designated by a state as DC is a lost cause.

What a disappointment this guy is. I was one of the ones who believed DiGenova and Toensing. They were so robust in their opinion about Barr that I have to admit I believed them. Basically I wanted to believe someone was finally in that position that would do some real good. What a fool I was! Plus, he did look like a grown up Ralphie from The Christmas Story, surely he could not be a bad guy. I won’t be fooled again. I will be suspect until I see heads roll and the swamp being drained. Although I doubt this will ever happen, I do hold out some hope that there are a few men and women of integrity still around. The odds are not with me, however. I will never understand how a man can be so wretched as to utterly betray someone to their face while assuring them he is on their team. What kind of morally bankrupt person does that? This born and bred midwesterner does not understand such actions, never will and never want to. Integrity still means something here where I live. Is there anyone who is not a complete moral coward and/or a backstabbing traitor working in the cesspool that is our nation’s Capitol?

Does his book apologize for claiming that "spying did occur" on President Trump and then doing absolutely nothing about it? Or for stating pre-election that using unsecure USPS ballots was "playing with fire." And then letting that fire burn uncontrolled. Or for stating they couldn't find election fraud sufficient to change the popular count when he only had to look at the 5 SWINGS STATES THAT STOPPED COUNTING BALLOTS SIMULTANEOUSLY. Get lost Baggy.

It looks like President Gremlin may be done. The Dems are starting to turn on him. Both the New York Times and The Atlantic have run stories that Democrat party leaders are questioning old Joe’s ability to do the job. Duh! In fact, according to the Daily Mail, one anonymous Democrat lawmaker called the Biden administration, “rudderless, aimless, and hopeless.” And that was from somebody on his own team – ouch. But I have to disagree with whoever coined that term. They’re more wrong than right. There has been nothing aimless or rudderless about anything Biden has done.

Consider the logic of the left and it’s no wonder that many people are considering the unspeakable – whether America will devolve into actual violent conflict. But I dare speak about it at length in my brand-new book We’ll Be Back: The Fall and Rise of America, which confronts this issue of systematic political violence head-on. The most important question related to the long decline of America at the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and terminally foolish ruling caste that controls our major institutions is whether we can pull out of this tailspin without bloodshed.

There is an expression, “The perfect is the enemy of the good” which encapsulates the danger of overreaching. We can fiddle with things incessantly, trying to move from a good outcome to a perfect one, and in the process destroy what we are trying to fix or create. Sometimes taking a par, rather than trying for birdie and ending up in the water, is the best course of action, on the golf course, and in life.

Many years ago, when Roger Ebert reported John Wayne’s comment about the great movie “High Noon,” I was surprised. “What a piece of you-know-what that was,” Wayne said. “Here’s a town full of people who have ridden in covered wagons all the way across the plains, fightin’ off Indians and drought and wild animals in order to settle down and make themselves a homestead. And then when three no-good bad guys walk into town and the marshal asks for a little help, everybody in town gets shy. Recently, I detailed five reasons to impeach Joe Biden. Here are two more. 1. Biden is selling our petroleum reserves to China. Biden is selling off 180 million barrels (one third of the total) from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The stated goal: softening the pain on American citizens from higher gas prices. Releasing the oil should have reduced the price at the pump. Why isn't that happening? Because the oil being released is going to Europe, India, and China. "The Biden administration is selling off our emergency oil reserves to China," said Tucker Carlson on Fox's Tucker Carlson Tonight.

Although this is the biggest breach in Supreme Court security in history, we have had no indication that the culprit has been identified. This is strange, given the very small pool – fewer than 100 clerks, justices and support staff

Mitt Romney penned an especially inspirational piece in the Atlantic for the 4th of July, in which he itemized our national problems and then blamed us (the people who don't reside in Washington, D.C.) for them. Mitt started out his missive with a little criticism of our crop management practices. Even as we watch the reservoirs and lakes of the West go dry, we keep watering our lawns, soaking our golf courses, and growing water-thirsty crops. We're told by the Left that we can't have meat because it's mean-spirited. Little did we understand that we're also supposed to feel guilty about growing water-thirsty crops

The Brittney Griner story has been one which tears at us from two sides. During a cold snap in the winter of 2021, however, wind turbines froze and many Texans found themselves without electricity. Now that scenario is likely to repeat itself, albeit due to high temperatures that are accompanied by calm conditions.

The survey also shows that as fewer Americans are ranking religion as "very important," the number of those who believe the Bible came directly from God decreases.
