Two journalists working for the United Nations have been detained in Kabul, the global agency said in a tweet Friday — with reports of at least eight other Westerners also detained in the war-torn nation. “Two journalists with UNHCR and Afghan nationals working with them have been detained in Kabul. We are doing our utmost to resolve the situation, in coordination with others,” the UNHCR said in a tweet. “We will make no further comment given the nature of the situation.” Among them is former BBC reporter Andrew North, Afghanistan’s former vice president Amrullah Saleh said.

It’s not often that we bestow the honor of the week’s top knucklehead on someone outside of the U.S., and that trend is understandable. The way in which Trudeau has thoroughly mishandled the Freedom Convoy protests has been remarkable to watch.

The U.S. Army unveiled a plan this week to tackle issues surrounding climate change, including the establishment of an electric vehicle fleet, as well as the reduction of the branch's greenhouse gas emissions.
The plan, outlined by the Army in a document titled "Climate Strategy," calls for the service to cut its emissions by 50% by 2030 from 2005 levels and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. The strategy aims to establish an "all-electric light-duty non-tactical vehicle fleet by 2027" and an "all-electric non-tactical vehicle fleet by 2035."
"There are 950 renewable energy projects supplying 480 megawatts of power to the Army today … scoped and planned through 2024," the Army strategy stated.
Atlanta—A federal cybersecurity agency is reviewing a report that alleges security vulnerabilities in voting machines used by Georgia and other states and says the document shouldn’t be made public until the agency has had time to assess and mitigate potential risks.
