A former Miss Mississippi has told how her husband was shot dead in front of her and their two-year-old son in an unprovoked attack, while he was preaching in a rough part of Montgomery. Christine Kozlowski Hand, 33, who is pregnant with their second child, told DailyMail.com that her husband, Thomas Hand, 37, had not interacted with his assailant before Saturday's attack.(Snip)He had ventured to the rough Alabama neighborhood with his family to educate impoverished strangers about the powers of God, his friends and family said—just days after the couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. They said a mumbling man walked up and shot him.

Comments:

They moved out of New Orleans to escape the (bLACK) crime, then ventured into The Community and paid the price. Same story, different day.

It’s a very sad story. Schizophrenia I assume. I would like to know the drug connection if any. Pappy poopy pants’ wide open border and pro-crime policies are resulting in a lot of deaths. But as he says - it was never gonna be perfect.

The Mumbling Man might have been speaking in an unfamiliar Ebonic dialect; something about making whitey pay. FTA: "Daryl Bailey, Montgomery County District Attorney, said on Monday that the city was 'under siege' by criminals following a weekend of violence in Alabama's capital. Bailey told WFSA the latest shootings are 'way too much'. He said: 'I spent my entire weekend dealing with the violent crime in Montgomery, going to crime scenes, or on the phone with law enforcement. 'The city of Montgomery is under siege, and we have got to address these issues."

Violence is a way of life for some people. With violence comes hatred. This can never be overlooked. The victim was trying to do good in the community and some people out there cannot accept that. It sends them into a rage. End result: Violence and death.

When I see a black man approach me on the sidewalk, if possible I'll jay-walk the street to avoid a confrontation. I did that not long ago in LA and two black men jay-walked after me. I reached the sidewalk and confronted "Kentavious" and "Jamal'dandre" with my new Berretta .32 TomCat w/75 grain ammunition. I'm still alive, thank you!⁰

Another black man shoots another white man; the only factor the black man was aware of was the white man's race. Perhaps people don't understand the meaning of the word "random". Perhaps they would rather suffer the murders than the repercussions of stating the obvious truth. If we can't even say the truth, we can't fix the problem. Liberals have used race baiting to their benefit. Blood is on their hands.

Walking into certain inner city neighborhoods is the equivalent of jumping into a pride of lions, a tank full of sharks, or a pack of hyenas. It is better to wait until they're in a cage (imprisoned), and preaching to them there.

Re #7, that is the perfect way to separate the attackers from the harmless random strangers. Abruptly change course, and if they follow, get ready for a confrontation, and good job....you were armed. I always tell my handgun class students about "The First Rule of A Gunfight". What is that rule? Have a gun. After all that, caliber, gun type and ammunition choices are secondary issues And if that solid little super easy to load Beretta Tomcat is what it takes to fit in with "have a gun" for you-- Bravo. I choose a bigger, heavier gun and caliber, but never criticize other's choices, as long as they "Have a gun". the Tomcat's big advantage for many, especially with hand strength issues that may make racking a slide difficult is the tip up loading. A real advantage for some, convenient for all. Most people really do NOT want to get shot, and most "defensive uses of a gun" involve exactly zero shots fired. The presentation of a gun is enough in about 90% of situations. But, in the remaining 10% training for accuracy in shot placement is a critical skill. Glad you avoided the bad outcome that they had planned for you.

Although the Daily Mail seems to be pretty far to the left, they sure report more crime news from the USA than all the leftist USA media outlets seem to report. And how the Daily Mail writes their headline, you don't need to read the story. All of it is in the headline. May the Good Lord comfort his widow, child and family.

Disgraced New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's administration confirmed Thursday that thousands more nursing home residents died of COVID-19 than the state's official tallies had previously acknowledged, dealing another blow to his image as a pandemic hero. The surprise development, after months of the state refusing to divulge its true numbers, showed that at least 12,743 long-term care residents died of the virus as of Jan. 19, far greater than the official tally of 8,505 on that day, a 49 percent jump cementing New York's toll as one of the highest in the nation.
