Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko pans German
aid, ‘speechless’ at offer of helmets

The mayor of Ukraine’s capital city, former heavyweight boxing champion Vitali Klitschko, pulled no punches against the German government Wednesday after Berlin committed to supplying Ukraine with 5,000 military helmets in the face of a potential Russian invasion. “The behavior of the German government leaves me speechless,” Klitschko, who was elected mayor of Kiev in 2014, told German tabloid Bild, according to Reuters. “The defense ministry apparently hasn’t realized that we are confronted with perfectly equipped Russian forces that can start another invasion of Ukraine at any time.” “What kind of support will Germany send next?” Klitschko added. “Pillows?”

Comments:

New Germany could send traditional Korans or Gay Pride flags, but the USA could top that by sending them each a genuine My Pillow, for the best night's sleep they've ever had.

Sounds like Germany does not want to anger their Russian natural gas energy supplier, Russia. The Europeans will pledge moral support but tread lightly when it comes time to actually provide real support to Ukraine for fear of losing their flow of natural gas from Russia. While Biden has claimed to make up and shortage, they know this is a hollow pledge since Biden stopped production in the US and we import energy ourselves. Europe knows they can no longer depend on the US. Just another consequence of the Biden/Democrat short sighted, poor energy policies.

Obama did the same thing once, he sent first aid kits and blankets not one gun, cannon or ammunition. Biden is going to leave dead bodies and all the military equipment behind when he loses. Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them. Science used to be something all Americans would get behind, Rice University historian Douglas Brinkley said.
