Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer will retire. As one of three liberal justices on the Supreme Court, his vacancy, reported by several outlets Wednesday, will pave the way for President Joe Biden to nominate a new judge to the highest court. "It has always been the decision of any Supreme Court Justice if and when they decide to retire, and how they want to announce it, and that remains the case today," White House press secretary Jen Psaki wrote in a statement. "We have no additional details or information to share."

Garland would do less damage replacing Stephen Breyer's vote on the court than he is doing as AG. (I know, I know, they will just get someone worse than Garland for AG.)

Would not be surprised if Biden nominates Kristin Clarke, his Assistant AG for Civil Rights, a 47 year old Harvard graduate who believes that diversity is far more important than job qualifications. She’s young, meaning 35 years on the Court. She’s also a radical leftist, which could appease the Dem fanatics who put race and “equity” before the law. Biden has to “win” something even if it fails the country, From Wikipedia: President Joe Biden in 2021 selected Clarke as his choice to head the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. The U.S. Senate confirmed her nomination on May 25, 2021, by a vote of 51–48. Clarke made history as the first woman to be confirmed to lead the Civil Rights Division after she was sworn in the same day.

FTA: “Biden vowed during his 2020 campaign that if given the opportunity to name a Supreme Court justice, he would choose a black woman as the nominee.” Will she have to confirm to the Senate that she voted for bi.den to prove she’s black? What proof that she’s a woman will be required? Is there even a consensus as to what a “woman” is? I’m just going by their rules.
