Joe Biden's administration has issued a dramatic warning to Vladimir Putin that if he invades Ukraine the key $11bn Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline into Germany will be cancelled. The Biden administration yesterday warned the Kremlin that it would halt the pipeline using sanctions if there was military action taken against Ukraine. 'I want to be very clear: if Russia invades Ukraine one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward,' State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters. The spokesman refused to go 'into specifics', but added: 'We [The US] will work with Germany to ensure it does not move forward.' This morning, despite a stall in offering

This pipeline is none of our business, even if the US government wants to show the TV audience that they are in the least bit competent or have any authority on the world stage. We had peace and prosperity under President Trump, but the US Marxist ruling cabal wanted none of it, so here we are. Also, consider that Germany foolishly and loudly proclaimed to be maximally Green, powering itself sustainably. So why do they need natural gas from Russia (which has every right to sell it as they please) when they're powered by solar power and magic windmills?

But Putin already controls a big chunk of Germany's energy flow. The Germans are perfectly happy to be under the thumb of Russia, apparently.

Biden seems to think he has a say in European energy production. He could not be more wrong.
Thought Europe was going to be all green by now. Guess they were wrong. It is totally up to Europe where they find their energy. If Europe is reliant on unreliable sources (both oil and green), they should be working on alternate energy sources.
European leadership is as incompetent as our own so do not expect this to be resolved anytime soon.

Biden assumes that Germany and the rest of Europe will go along with his "harsh repercussions" like stopping the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Who is the US to stop it? They may stop an incomplete pipeline but Russia will just cut the flow of gas from all of the completed pipelines already sending gas as leverage over Europe. Biden is making a lot of noise about an invasion that might not even occur. The Russian troops have been at the Ukraine border for years. Seems like Biden wants to create a "Wag the Dog" situation to distract from his current problems at home.

Pardon second post...forgot second part of Biden's action, the expelling of Russian diplomats.
What percentage of Russian diplomats are spies? This is one action I might actually agree with. Broken clock, I guess.

How would Biden "pull the plug?" He must think he is emperor of the world.

FTA: “ The President is under pressure from congress to use the Protecting Europe's Energy Security Act…”
Sounds like the Euros’ problem is somehow ours. Who in congress is pushing this? Who voted for it?

Wait…is the US building the pipeline? How can the US cancel it? Who does this malevolent toad think he is?

The “Protecting Europe's Energy Security Act” failed to pass…introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz, backed by Republicans.

Haven't we seen this "kicking out Russian diplomats" before? Like at the beginning of the "Trump's a Russian stooge" investigations?

Germany has leaders which INTEND to make Germany a vassal to Russia. Shutting down their excellent, well run nuclear power stations and importing Russian gas, which gives Russia control over their country.
This is NOT "stupid", this is treason, and very likely the "leaders" who are doing it are being paid by Russia.

#9 The US can "theoretically" cancel it because it's being built with US technology and largely with US tax dollars. That's why sanctions "theoretically" work. What the MSM will never let on is that Russian technology sucks and their GDP is less than Canada's so they can't build it or afford it on their own.
