An unoccupied car belonging to Democratic 'defund the police' advocate Rep. Cori Bush was struck by gunfire in St. Louis early Saturday, marking the second time her vehicle has been hit in two years. The Missouri congresswoman confirmed the news Thursday on Twitter, saying: 'I'm touched by everyone who has reached out. Thankfully no one was harmed. But any act of gun violence shakes your soul.'(Snip)Last year, she introduced a $10 billion bill that would replace police officers with social workers and other first responders in incidents of mental health and substance abuse. The bill would create a new federal agency under the Department of Health and Human Services

Did she report this to the police?

She wouldn't call the police. She probably called her mental health expert to talk the criminal down. Also, who cares what happened? She doesn't seem to mind if it happens to any of us-or worse.

Social Workers or Mental Health Responders would not have prevented Cori Bush's car from being shot. It would have resulted in a Social Worker or Mental Health Responder having the bullet in them instead of the car. The people of Baltimore (who use these kind of workers) found that our recently. Criminals are going to shoot their guns at whatever/whoever they want. They don't care who you are, where you are, or what gets in their way. That's why they are criminals. Cori Bush seems to forget that.

Missouri Rep. Cori Bush, one of the most ardent advocates in favor of defunding the police, spent nearly $70,000 on private security over the past three months as she advocated for defunding the police, campaign filings show. Bush's campaign sent $54,120.92 in payments between April 15 and June 28 for "security services" to RS&T Security Consulting, a New York-based firm with a mysterious online presence, as Federal Election Commission records show. The Democrat's campaign also paid $15,000 to Nathaniel Davis for "security services" over the same time period. She needs to spend more on her personal security force! Last April Bush praised St. Louis for its "historic" vote to defund police - "Today's decision to defund the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is historic," Bush said in a statement at the time. "It marks a new future for our city. For decades, our city funneled more and more money into our police department under the guise of public safety, while massively under-investing in the resources that will truly keep our communities safe."

Gun violence is an insidious term. It makes you think without realising it that the guns themselves are the problem, that they fire themselves and we humans are their victims. The left is only good at one thing: deceit. But they are very good at it.

#13 raises a good point. If the (mostly stolen) guns held by 13% of the population cause 95% of the problems, then maybe that 13% should be forbidden from having guns. Not that a simple law would stop them; it's already illegal for felons to have firearms, illegal to engage in street gun battles, to murder people, etc.

If this was the second time in 2 years, that's enough to convince me that her car is not generally recognized in the area. Otherwise the figure would be closer to a dozen times a year. Of course, that's assuming it actually happened in the first place.

When the Democrats talk about “Gun Violence” they are distracting from the facts that “Gun Violence” really amounts to assaults and murders perpetrated by Black criminals in the big Democrat run inner cities.
