What's Up With Monoclonals?

Original Article

Posted By: earlybird, 1/25/2022 4:06:51 PM

Way back in September, Lifesite ran a story on the potential dangers from treatment with monoclonal antibodies. If you’ll recall, not only Ron DeSantis but prominent medical authorities were pushing this treatment hard—including many of the early treatment proponents. Here’s the link: Monoclonal antibodies for COVID-19 tested on fetal cells, risk ‘serious side effects’ ‘Not a lot of people have been given REGEN-COV,’ a fact sheet for a top monoclonal antibody treatment states. ‘Serious and unexpected side effects may happen.’ The FDA has now withdrawn Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for monoclonal antibodies. (snip) they’re “less” effective than against earlier variants. Or, in the alternative, they’re “highly unlikely” to help.

Comments:

Wauck includes material that tells us perhaps the pullback of monoclonals could be a good idea. Recommend reading article. There’s a lot of important info to think about.

This is the first I've heard that the monoclonal antibodies were tested using fetal tissue. That's a big "no" for me, right there. Our doctor had told us we could use that treatment if we fell ill. Now I wouldn't touch it even if it was still available. I'm sticking with God's immune system. I only go to town once a week. As it is, I'm already living the life of cloistered nun...except I have a husband!

Swop out monoclonal antibodies for covid vaccine (it is not a vaccine) and there is little or no difference. Sounds just about the same.

Several of the monoclonals which were proven to be highly effective at preventing progression in COVID outpatients infected with the alpha and delta variants don't work at all well against omicron. Monoclonals are not of much value against hospitalized patients. All monoclonals carry quite a high a risk of acute allergic reactions, but there are usually not much of a problem. One monoclonal, Sotrovimab, does work well against omicron, but it is hard to find.

And yet, I’ve seen with my own eyes how they helped good friend survive. Hmmmm. Maybe my eyes are wrong. Maybe, this is more along the lines of big Pharma profits plus we need to kill more people to keep the sheep in line. I’m sorry, these treatments all of a sudden are dangerous, but the killer shots are? Not buying.

Has anything that we have been told about prevention and treatment for this bug turned out to be true in the end? What does work is cheap medications that have been around for decades. BUT, we can't use those meds because Trump said they were effective. This whole sorry saga has been about control, power spending and making a handful of pharmaceuticals very very wealthy.

As usual, the media coverage on the Ukraine crisis is largely inadequate. Perversely, most of the aggressive left-wing media want to escalate the feud with Russian President Vladimir Putin to the point of driving Russia into the arms of China. This is the only way Russia (whose GDP is smaller than Canada’s) could seriously damage the West. At the same time, some conservative commentators, including some of the stars at Fox News, are unreasonably accusing those who favor resisting Russian aggression in Ukraine of being warmongers and trying to propel America into endless, useless war. Again. There is a legitimate American and Western interest in not allowing Russia to trample

COVID-19 can be stopped without massive vaccination, renowned cardiologist and epidemiologist Dr. Peter McCullough told NTD’s “Capitol Report” program during the “Defeat the Mandates” march in Washington D.C., on Jan. 23. According to McCullough, early treatment and natural immunity are safe and effective against COVID-19, but federal health agencies have ignored these in a push for vaccines, the broad use of which is not needed. “The government has certainly been in an oblivion in terms of early treatment,” he said. Thousands of people turned out to march in protest against COVID-19 vaccine mandates—one of the largest U.S. events against the mandates since the start of the pandemic.

After Germany's neutrality toward the Russia-Ukraine crisis became apparent, Sweden is the latest to follow its lead of forbidding arms transfers to Kiev, while Croatia is out with a firm statement saying it will recall all of its troops from NATO in the event of war. This followed on the heels of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announcing that circumstances in the region are now "under control" and that there's "no reason to panic" according to

A United Nations “cash-based interventions” program provides migrants heading to the U.S. border with debit cards, help with housing, transport, and medical assistance. The assistance is accessible in cities on the well-traveled routes from Latin America through Mexico. Thousands of migrants converge in southern Mexico where they apply for asylum—which gives them unfettered travel in Mexico—then most head directly to the U.S. border, where they cross illegally and claim asylum again. Washington—Republicans’ faith in science is falling as Democrats rely on it even more, with a trust gap in science and medicine widening substantially during the COVID-19 pandemic, new survey data shows. It’s the largest gap in nearly five decades of polling by the General Social Survey, a widely respected trend survey conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago that has been measuring confidence in institutions since 1972. That is unsurprising to more than a dozen scientists reached for comment by The Associated Press, but it concerns many of them.
