Deescalation appears to be accelerating over the Ukraine crisis given a number of rapid developments which have seen lead NATO countries break from the more bellicose and threatening tone of the United States and UK. After Germany's neutrality toward the Russia-Ukraine crisis became apparent, Sweden is the latest to follow its lead of forbidding arms transfers to Kiev, while Croatia is out with a firm statement saying it will recall all of its troops from NATO in the event of war.
This followed on the heels of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announcing that circumstances in the region are now "under control" and that there's "no reason to panic" according to

(Swoon, swoon) Our potus is soo great.
He just waved his magic wand and the Russia-Ukraine threat ended.
There will never be anyone as wonderful and wise as him.
He didn't even need diplomacy and all the nation got in line.
(Did Biden stage all this to look presidential, to protect the Biden financial interests, or to keep people from investigating his illegal activities in the Ukraine?)

If Ukraine hasn't figured out they're on their own by now, they never will. So much for Clintoon's promise to defend Ukraine in return for surrendering the nukes the Russians left there.

I predict Russia will begin to pull their troops off the border of Ukraine. This has all been a set up to keep the Dems in office. When they pull back, Joe will get all the credit for saving the world. Explains the pipe lines for Russia and the shutting down of ours. Joe, China and Russia are all in cahoots.

NATO...Not A Tight Organization...
Good to find out which countries are in it only to get the benefit of America's military and financial assistance, and therefore can't be counted on to help fight Russian aggression.

There was never any stomach in the west for a war with Russia. Hopefully there are enough other negative deterrence to keep Russia from taking over Ukraine. All it takes is Russia losing more than it will gain from a Ukrainian takeover. That's up to Europe. Will they be that hard up for Russian oil?

The American people are not on board for a war with anybody. Biden and Blinken will be the only troops deployed.

What a frickin' mess. Maybe Germany wouldn't have spit in your face, Joe, if you hadn't OK'd their oil pipeline from Russia - making Russia their new most needed neighbor.
Then showing weak, weak, weak non-leadership in Afghanistan when you knifed our allies in the back with no consultation in the abrupt withdrawal.
And anyone wonders why China's eyeing Taiwan and Russia's threatening Ukraine???
The man's gonna get us all killed.

There is no way the U.S. or NATO will ever go to war with Russia unless attacked directly. For their part, the Russians have made it clear that they will not accept a NATO country on their border. All the recent posturing on both sides affirms those two basic facts.

Excuse me but why would we spend a single penny or allow a single drop of American blood to be spilled defending a third rate non-allied non-NATO kleptocracy like Ukraine?
The mome Joe's puppet masters made noise about war with Russia over this nonsense I knew someone was due for a huge payday if something happened and Americans would be paying that price, as usual.
If Europeans don't care why should we? Let it all burn.

#5 - Read the Budapest memorandum. “Aggression” against Ukraine is to be referred to the UN Security Council. Any US “promise” to act is fiction.

Former Soviet satellites and their neighbors preemptively surrender to Putin, as as rather definitive vote of no confidence in the U.S. under Brandon and the Dems.

I think it's way past time to link Cuba to the Russians stated "security" goal is in the Ukraine. At a minimum, the U. S. position should be the minute Russian tanks roll across the Ukrainian border ,where they have been massing for months, the USAF will commence ridding Cuba of its communist government - permanently. If the world thinks it's good for the Bear, then they can just accept that it's good for the Eagle.

Referencing ZephyrGirl (#5) and Midnight Rambler (#10).
Lesson to other nations (and to American citizens as well):
Don't Trust a Democrat.
Ever.
