The Supreme Court’s Ruling On Vaccine
Mandates Is Frighteningly Weak

It’s long been axiomatic in the legal profession that tough facts make bad law. Yesterday’s forked decisions from the Supreme Court in two vaccine mandate cases now add a corollary to that principle: Quick cases make milquetoast opinions. The Supreme Court heard the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Medicare/Medicaid mandate cases in tandem on an expedited basis last Friday. Although court observers expected lightning-fast decisions, the opinions in National Federation of Independent Business v. Department of Labor and Biden v. Missouri didn’t drop until Jan. 13.

The Chief Justice has been painfully weak on the Constitution and on communism in general for many years. I would love to know what Epstein pictures he is being blackmailed with. I'm sure we will find out someday, but by then the damage will have been done.

I'm trying very hard to remember the last time the leftist loons on the Court split. Very easy to remember the "conservatives" splitting.

Based on who selected Roberts, are there even more people connected to possible Epstein activities than previously known? Are there people with good reputations too? Maybe sex isn’t the only thing people are being blackmailed for, maybe they are involved in dark Globalist programs like controlling elections or monetary systems worldwide etc. Inquiring minds want to know.

These decisions resemble the Court's decisions when the requested relief is a stay, plus time was of the essence. These opinions have an unpolished feel, like a term paper that needed further editing but time ran out. Litigation of unresolved issues in the OSHA case is ongoing at the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Supreme Court did not want to preempt those issues, which may, but probably will not, reach the Supreme Court.

A liberal split is very rare, #3, because liberals are unfettered by the Constitution and the law. As ideologues, they rule by their 'feelings' on the matter rather than what the Constitution says. This has been going on for a LONG time. Liberals are all expansionists - they find new interpretations in the words of the Constitution to justify whatever ridiculous actions they want to impose. Roe v. Wade was a mental construction of Blackmun, for example. Usually, when you hear a liberal carping about what the 14th Amendment means, you can bet they are trying to expand what the Constitution says past what it says.

The headline should read ' the Supreme Court is frighteningly weak ' - they either refuse to take up important issues or PUNT - Some of the justices just do not want to make decisions that will cause them criticism from the Left. Only a few of the justices have a backbone, or are seemingly not subject to blackmail. CJ Roberts is an utter failure.

The Supreme Court has done medical workers an injustice by not recognizing those that have natural immunity in their ruling.. The political CDC has still not acknowledged that natural immunity is as good as (actually better than) vaccine immunity. Science has shown that getting Covid vaccine after acquiring natural immunity shows no discernible benefit. Most of the medical workers being fired for not getting the jab have natural immunity. They got natural immunity when they caught Covid and recovered while working to save others from dying of Covid when there were no vaccines. To rule that medical workers with natural immunity, that do not get the "jab," should be fired is a deplorable injustice.

If nothing else it took away the claims of the large, woke corporations that the damage they were inflicting on their own employees was due to government mandates so what else could they do? It built up their credibility with the elites, liberals and Karens that they were doing their part to make the world a safer place. Now they will be exposed as idiots for shooting themselves in the foot. Finally, a situation that helps small businesses but hurts the large.

Standing in front of livestock at the 2016 Iowa State Fair, presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton chortled, “I’m back!” But she was dead serious. Now, despite Joe Biden’s unlikely intentions to run for a second term, Hillary is back again – as if ambition would ever let her leave. Five years younger than Biden, Hillary has no intention of being an old soldier who just fades away. Ever since her college years at Wellesley, she has harbored political ambitions. And when her husband landed in the White House, her dream of becoming the first female president of the United States took serious hold.

Late December, the New York Times reported {LINK} that South Dakota Senator John Thune, the heir apparent to Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, was considering retiring because the Trump influence, the MAGA base, was not in alignment with his corporate and Wall Street donor class worldview. Those who have watched closely know Senator Mitch McConnell has positioned Senator Thune to take over in the Senate (zipper problems not withstanding). The Machiavellian purpose of the positioning is to put Thune in place as a line of defense to protect the interest of the political establishment and the aligned Fourth Branch of Government.

It’s sometimes like pulling teeth, but the nation is making fitful progress toward COVID sanity. Here in New York, Gov. Hochul and (especially) Mayor Adams are refusing to panic amid the Omicron wave, as their teams offer ever more good sense and better information. Glimmers of sanity are even showing in President Biden’s orbit. Plenty of idiocy remains, even on the Supreme Court, where Friday’s hearing on Biden’s vaccine mandate for most US businesses brought some huge whoppers from the liberal wing.

What is wokeism? Is it another political movement, one pushing for equality and social justice in line with Christian faith, or is it something more? Catholics in particular must face and answer this question, as our faith calls us to defend the helpless in the name of Christ. Is woke thinking a duty or a heresy, a friend or an enemy? Archbishop José Gómez, leader of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, recently stepped forward to answer this question factually and faithfully. Woke thinking, Gomez said, is nothing less than a new religion constructed to challenge and destroy traditional Christian faith.

“Women are the major beneficiaries of getting rid of the hypocritical old notions about sex,” said pornographer Hugh Hefner. Though, he added, “One of the unintended by-products of the women’s movement is the association of the erotic impulse with wanting to hurt somebody.” To put it more precisely, an unintended—but entirely predictable—consequence of the sexual revolution Hefner spearheaded was that it hurt exponentially more than it ostensibly helped. Even the ancients—both East and West—knew that the unchecked proliferation of lustful passions was a recipe for social and political catastrophe

President Biden won the White House promising to resolve the Covid crisis, and prematurely declared victory on July 4th so he could shift attention to his Build Back Better boondoggle. As America’s Covid deaths in his first year exceeded those in President Trump’s last year, liberals are eager to blame conservatives for refusing to “follow the science.” Biden has framed vaccination as self-evident patriotic duty — rather than a personal choice based on risk tolerance and individual circumstances — giving liberals another excuse to feel morally superior. I’m not sure what Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) thought he was going to get by pushing a vote on the Democratic effort to federalize elections (which they call ‘voting rights’) and on the filibuster. Schumer knew that he was likely to get a “no” on the filibuster from Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). They’ve only been holding fast on the subject for months. Both also were very firm on the subject in speeches — Sinema earlier in the week and Manchin earlier on Wednesday. It wasn’t happening, they said. But Schumer decided to commit electoral suicide anyway, and he got it tonight.
