Romney on Capitol attack anniversary:
'Ignore the lessons of January 6 at our
own peril'

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday called for the lessons of the Jan. 6, 2021, to be heeded as Washington observes the anniversary of the unprecedented Capitol attack, warning that "democracy is fragile." "We ignore the lessons of January 6 at our own peril. Democracy is fragile; it cannot survive without leaders of integrity and character who care more about the strength of our Republic than about winning the next election," Romney said in a statement. "I said last year that the best way we can show respect for voters who are upset is by telling them the truth," he added.

Hmmm . . . thanks to the "Hill", always giving a platform for somebody like Romney to spew. Anyway, seems to me, both the Hill and Romnay has forgotten about all of the rioters who took over government buildings. There's quite a list of them should one only care to read a little and to tell the truth. The Police Station in Portland comes to mind . . . or how about the Capitol buildind in Wisconsin? Or when the protesters breached the fence surrounding the White House during Trump's Presidency? I can go on and on . . . but you Romney, sir . . . are as phony as a 3 dollar bill. Do you even know who Ashli Babbit was, Romney?

Pierre Delecto, when do you think you will get around to investigating Nanie's role in instigating J6? You know, the very individual who organized antifa rioters and capitol police who instigated the breach of the capitol? Any comment, Pierre Delecto, about the murder of Ashli Babbitt and Michael Leroy Byrd's unnecessary use of deadly force in the murder, J6 prisoner abuse, lack of due process, abuse of the guy who is dying in his cell and being denied medical care, and the other guy who was brutally beaten by prison guards and lost an eye over it? Wake up and get hold of Rep. Greene who can give you the low down on the prisoner abuse. Then get on your special soapbox, Pierre Delecto, and come clean with how abuse of these political prisoners will be stopped.

This is similar to their "racist" talk. They act as though we gather at the water cooler and talk about our plans to kidnap pelosi and the rest of the useless. Sort of like how we talk about chasing down blacks and Asians and tying them up out in the country before we douse them with gasoline and set them on fire. It's not happening folks. No one is talking about this or plotting anything or stocking up on "insurrection" supplies. Or "going to put you all back in chains" supplies. It's made up. Well, maybe not made up. This is deliberate manipulation on their part. We do talk about inflation, gas prices, the border, the mess they have made of covid, the supply side problems, crime at all levels, schools, feeding our families and home energy prices and on and on. Funny how they are all traumatized but the people in cities where blm burned down homes, business, cars, and took over neighborhood blocks saw no sympathy or support from local, state or federal agents. A pox on them. They believe if they say racism (white supremacy) and insurrection over and over they will win the next election. Right now the only "supplies" in my trunk are some bottles of Mt. Dew.

Video; Biden tells how democrats stole the 2020 election and twice for Obama. The Marxist Communist democrats, rino's, etc., are the real danger to America from within. Biden himself with a slip of his tongue, for once told the truth of the Marxist Communist democrats and they are all guilty of treason. October 2020, before the election; speaking to former Barack Obama staffers on Pod Save America, host Dan Pfeiffer asked Biden what his message was to people who have not yet voted. https://youtu.be/C6u1uKznCYw Biden's confession starts at time 17:40 on video interview. Joe Biden: "Well, first of all, you know, uh, what really rankles, uh, my opponent is I say that, uh, the thing that bothers him most is he’s not a patch on Barack’s jeans." "Secondly, we’re in a situation where we have put together — and you’d [sic] guys, did it for our, the president Obama’s administration, before this — we have put together, I think, the most extensive and and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics." Biden did not correct himself after saying “voter fraud organization,” nor did the hosts attempt to correct or clarify his statement.

Lessons? You want a lesson? How's this: The only real lesson from Jan 6 is that by the time the camel gets his nose in the tent, it's too late to keep him out. Likewise, by the time the electoral votes get to Congress for their ratification, it's too late to stop the theft of a presidential election.

If Romney wants to figure out what a real insurrection looks like he should fly over to Kazakhstan and scope out the deadly insurrection situation there. When the leftist and socialist Democrats talk about saving “Our Democracy” from being destroyed by the wimpy Republicans if they win the upcoming elections, what the leftist and socialist Democrats are really telling the American people is that their radical leftist and socialist political agenda that they consider to be “their Democracy” will for the most part be dumped along with a lot of leftist and socialist Democrat politicians being defeated and put out to pasture.

If Romney is interested in the truth, then he needs to start asking, publicly, why the J6 committee is not calling Ray Epps and John Sullivan to testify, or why their cell phone communications aren't being reviewed to see who they were communicating with days prior, and the day-of the event. Also, ask how the Capitol was cleared? Did those who entered leave on their own, or was the SWAT team called in to extricate them from the building because they refused to leave? (hint: they entered around 12:15 pm and the entire building was cleared by 4pm- maybe earlier without further incident). Then, I'd like to know who scaled the Capitol walls? That seems extreme and not something the average person would do. Especially when there are steps nearby.

What does Jan 6 have to do with our Republic. We have evidence of the capitol secuirty guards exploding little bombs in the midst of people who were seen as if they were taking a tour of the place. We have THREE dead bodies (one shot, and two beaten to death) by the security guards. All three of the woman were unarmed. All of this to make it appear that the President was attempting a coup when he in, fact, was trying to let Americans see that they had been the victims of a fraud election.

It is the same lesson-learned from all of the summer of 2020 riots; when those who are supposed to be ''in-charge'' refuse to do their jobs to maintain civic order it creates a vacuum with undesirable results. The difference in this instance is that it was Nancy Pelosi's office was vandalized and her laptop stolen, instead of businesses and property belonging to us lowly peasants. In this case the elites got a taste of their own medicine. Hopefully, they will remember what it felt like the next time they condone riots and looting in cities where they, themselves, don't happen to be located.

Dittos #12 et al. "Mittens' " throwing the second and third Presidential debates, after "McPain" shutting down his campaign in August 2008, are what caused me to throw up my hands at the feckless "Washington Generals" (aka the GOP), and to start beating the drum for a new party. Nothing - including all of President DJT's futile reform efforts - has convinced me that the globalist-donor controlled GOP can ever be reformed! Yes, the drawbacks of a new party are well known, and it's a very steep hill to climb, but we have no choice if we wish to save this Republic for our children and grandchildren. The sand of opportunity has just about slipped through the hourglass. IMO, NOvember 8th is "make or break" for our future.

It’s sometimes like pulling teeth, but the nation is making fitful progress toward COVID sanity. Here in New York, Gov. Glimmers of sanity are even showing in President Biden’s orbit. Plenty of idiocy remains, even on the Supreme Court, where Friday’s hearing on Biden’s vaccine mandate for most US businesses brought some huge whoppers from the liberal wing.

What is wokeism? Is it another political movement, one pushing for equality and social justice in line with Christian faith, or is it something more? Catholics in particular must face and answer this question, as our faith calls us to defend the helpless in the name of Christ. Is woke thinking a duty or a heresy, a friend or an enemy? Archbishop José Gómez, leader of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, recently stepped forward to answer this question factually and faithfully. Woke thinking, Gomez said, is nothing less than a new religion constructed to challenge and destroy traditional Christian faith.

“Women are the major beneficiaries of getting rid of the hypocritical old notions about sex,” said pornographer Hugh Hefner. Though, he added, “One of the unintended by-products of the women’s movement is the association of the erotic impulse with wanting to hurt somebody.” To put it more precisely, an unintended—but entirely predictable—consequence of the sexual revolution Hefner spearheaded was that it hurt exponentially more than it ostensibly helped. Even the ancients—both East and West—knew that the unchecked proliferation of lustful passions was a recipe for social and political catastrophe

President Biden won the White House promising to resolve the Covid crisis, and prematurely declared victory on July 4th so he could shift attention to his Build Back Better boondoggle. As America’s Covid deaths in his first year exceeded those in President Trump’s last year, liberals are eager to blame conservatives for refusing to “follow the science.” Biden has framed vaccination as self-evident patriotic duty — rather than a personal choice based on risk tolerance and individual circumstances — giving liberals another excuse to feel morally superior. To observe that the Left and its cheerleading media have treated the one-year anniversary of the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot as a solemn occasion would be to understate the point. For the Left, the (actually) mostly peaceful demonstrations of that day, which for a small percentage of demonstrators did entail illegal trespassing of the Capitol, represented a watershed moment in the history of our “democracy.” January 6 was the day, the narrative goes, where “deplorable” Trumpians attempted to effectuate an “insurrection” and a “coup,” seeking to “overturn” the results of the perfect and pristine 2020 presidential election.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) must be held accountable for its open defiance of the Supreme Court’s directives. For decades, the FTC relied on a statute authorizing “permanent injunctions” to obtain monetary fines. That always seemed strange. After all, neighboring sections of the law allow the commission to seek limited monetary penalties, while injunctions normally only prevent future action and do not entail an award of any damages. Yet “disgorgement” awards — the return payment of supposedly illegal gains — became so pervasive that in 2019, for example, courts ordered that $723.2 million be paid to the government in such awards.CORRECTION*

Additionally, George Meany, president of the AFL-CIO for 24 years, once stated, “It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government.” Both men understood that the very nature of government makes it wrong for its leaders to enter into negotiations with any union

ZEBULON, N.C. — Over the past couple years, there has been an increase in armadillo sightings across the Carolinas, and officials with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission says it's due to climate change. Armadillos have been spotted in 23 counties across North Carolina, including Wake and Durham. Since 2007, there have been as many as 30 sightings of armadillos in Wake County. Greg Batts, an N.C. Wildlife biologist in Zebulon, said he documented two armadillos on the N.C. Highway 55 widening project in August in 2020. One had been run over by a car and another had a den near

There’s A Reason No One Likes Kamala Harris 36 replies

Most people look at the choice of Kamala Harris for Vice President and scratch their head. “Why would anyone pick a person so wildly devoid of political talent or even the basics of likability?” they wonder. The conventional wisdom is that she checked the right number of boxes to fulfill left-wing interest group demands, which is partially true, of course. Overlooked, however, is how there is one more, rather good and important reason Joe Biden, or really any politician, would pick someone like Harris: because by comparison, you’ll always look better. Harris is such a singularly grating personality that she polls lower than lemon juice on an open wound.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky said Friday there is a good chance that the U.S. will follow the "ice-pick"-shaped curve of South Africa's omicron surge of the COVID variant, but cautioned that it could roll through different parts of the country at various times, as previous waves have. "I do think in places that we are seeing this really steep incline, that we may well see also a precipitous decline, but we're also a much bigger country than South Africa," Walensky said in a briefing with reporters.

As midterm elections draw closer, new speculation continues to mount regarding whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is set to retire from Congress. One new report indicates that many of her Democratic colleagues are already preparing for life in D.C. without their longtime caucus leader. “Even if it looks a little bit messy” Sources said that they expect Pelosi to step down at the end of the current session, which would align with her prior statements on the matter.

Politico Playbook ran an unwise story about the “wise Latina” Justice Sotomayor purportedly dining with Democratic heavyweights after one of the most ridiculous, fact-free performances by any Supreme Court Justice in U.S. history. The photo that purportedly showed Sotomayor dining with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer is shown below. “SPOTTED: Speaker NANCY PELOSI, Senate Majority Leader CHUCK SCHUMER and wife, IRIS WEINSHALL, Sens. AMY KLOBUCHAR (D-Minn.) and DICK DURBIN (D-Ill.) dining together at Le Diplomate on Friday night,” Politico Playbook said. Then, it noted that it was initially miscaptioned. “CORRECTION: The original version of this item misidentified Iris Weinshall, the wife of Chuck Schumer, as Sonia Sotomayor.

Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.

Gov. Jay Inslee proposed new legislation on Thursday, which would make it a misdemeanor for elected leaders or candidates to spread unfounded allegations of voter fraud. Speaking on the one-year anniversary of the now-infamous U.S. Capitol riot, Inslee opined that “the threat to our democracy is just as dangerous on January 6, 2022, as it was a year ago.” [Snip] That has Inslee pushing for a bill in the state Legislature that would “make it a gross misdemeanor to lie about these election results without any basis.”
