Netflix loses nearly $45 billion in market
cap after ‘borderline catastrophic’
forecast' showed almost 3.5M FEWER subscribers
for 2022 first quarter

Netflix dashed hopes for a quick rebound after forecasting weak first-quarter subscriber growth on Thursday, sending shares sinking nearly 20 percent and wiping away most of its remaining pandemic-fueled gains from 2020, just a week after raising prices by up to $2 a month. The streaming platform projected it would add 2.5 million customers for the first quarter of 2022—January through March—less than half of the 5.9 million analysts had initially forecast.(Snip)The projection for the first quarter of 2022 is a steep drop-off from the fourth quarter of last year, with the world's largest streaming service adding 8.3 million customers from October

Maybe it was giving The Stain and the Wookie millions and millions of dollars to make mediocre woke propaganda. Maybe it was kiddie porn masquerading as an “art film”. Or the big budget “message” films with messages us “common folk” know is leftist crap. Or editing films like Blazing Saddles so little Karen doesn’t get triggered and have to go to her safe space. Whatever it was, you deserve it.

When will people wake up?! Cushy board of director jobs and book deals are bribes right out in the open. These companies were formed by the elite globalists, and exist for this very purpose. That is why they do not react to market pressure or boycott. They have very deep pockets and their profit motive goals are much more long term than quarterly income.

Content. Content. Content. It is about content, and nothing else. Give people what they WANT, instead of trying to force feed them a bunch of woke propaganda that YOU want them to have. People want traditional nuclear families, traditional values, and hopeful positive story lines with people who look like them. So they left Netflix, and where did they go? No surprise. They went over to the Hallmark channel. BIG time. Duh! Will Netflix learn? Probably not. Will Hallmark develop a bad case of hubris and try to morph itself into another preachy woke Netflix? Sorry Poster #40, but Hallmark is on its way to 'wokeness!' The only reason we have a satellite feed, is because the wife loves Hallmark. While reading my novels while she watches, I've noticed that the stories are now like diverse commercials, with their not too bright Whites, mixed couples, super intelligent blacks able to solve all the problems, the lgbtq+ characters and same sex partnerships. It won't be long before she will tire of it and like the Dodo, TV will become extinct in this house!

We've had the DVD by mail subscription since it first started. When they went to the streaming service, we almost quit because they tried to push us into it. Eventually they gave in and we stayed. My son's family has the streaming service and I've found a unique problem with it. Try this. Think of a movie that's not in the just released category, and then search for it on Netflix. You won't find it. You'll find similars, but not the one you're randomly search for. I've tried it on his Netflix with 100% lack of success.

Hate-crime complaints skyrocketed by nearly 100 percent in New York City last year—with reported anti-Asian attacks more than tripling, according to newly released NYPD data. Overall, hate-based complaints jumped from 275 incidents in 2020 to 538 last year, the figures show. The largest portion of complaints was for anti-Jewish crimes, which accounted for 38 percent of all reports, according to the data. Anti-Jewish complaints increased 54 percent year over year, from 134 incidents to 207, according to the numbers. But anti-Asian crimes saw the largest increase in actual incidents, going from 30 in 2020 to 133 last year, for a 343 percent spike.

New Jersey—Considered an engineering marvel of its time, the Transcontinental Railroad was a game changer, connecting the east and west in the back end of the 1800s. The US Treasury on Thursday imposed sanctions on two Ukrainian members of parliament and two former officials it said were involved in the alleged conspiracy, which involved discrediting the current government of the president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy. “Russia has directed its intelligence services to recruit current and former Ukrainian government officials to prepare to take over the government of Ukraine and to control Ukraine’s critical infrastructure with an occupying Russian force,” the Treasury statement accompanying the sanctions said.

According to KrebsonSecurity, the IRS announced that by the summer of 2022, the only way to log into irs.gov will be through ID.me. Founded by former Army Rangers in 2010, the McLean-based company has evolved to providing online ID verification services which several states are using to help reduce unemployment and pandemic-assistance fraud. The company claims to have 64 million users. Some 27 states already use ID.me to screen for identity thieves applying for benefits in someone else’s name, and now the IRS is joining them. The service requires applicants to supply a great deal more information than typically requested for online verification schemes, such as scans

Democrats accused Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of racism for remarks he made about black Americans voting at just as high a percentage as 'Americans' after their voting rights package failed to make it through the Senate. The Kentucky Republican was asked by a reporter what his message is to voters of color who are 'concerned' that they won't be able to vote in the midterm election. 'Well, the concern is misplaced because you if you look at the statistics, African-American voters are voting in just as high a percentage as Americans,' McConnell said in response.

We were all worried that we would be facing a situation like we had after 2008, when it took almost a decade to get back to full employment,” Yellen said. “

Comedian and actress Kathy Griffin claimed CNN president Jeff Zucker slashed her pay after she had asked for a raise as co-host of the network's New Year's Eve special. In a profile published Wednesday in The New York Times, Griffin recalled reaching out to Zucker 10 days before the broadcast in 2016 and told him she felt she deserved more than her $80,000 contract since "she was carrying more of the prep work" than her co-host, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. According to Griffin, Zucker "got very offended." "He started yelling at me and he literally said something like, ‘Who do you think you are calling here demanding a raise?’

Build up or pay up. That is the message Massachusetts is sending to 175 cities and suburbs in the Boston area, as a bill passed last year to boost housing production begins to take effect. Almost every jurisdiction in Eastern Massachusetts, from the New Hampshire border to Worcester to the Cape Cod Canal, will have to do its part zoning for 344,000 new units of as-of-right multifamily housing—or lose access to some state grant programs. That mean allowing apartments in many tony subdivisions currently reserved for single-family homes. For perspective, all of Massachusetts currently builds just 15,000 new units

Ask any Democrat or other leftist whether the FBI was corrupt under J. Edgar Hoover and he or she will eagerly agree. (snip) Now, though, it appears that the FBI, with help from the DOJ, is going Hoover one better, and using all the old powers plus modern technology to investigate and arrest people who fail to support the Biden administration. The FBI’s latest target is Texas Representative Henry Cuellar, a Democrat, who spoke out against Biden’s illegal acts erasing America’s southern border. (snip) Unfortunately, in Biden’s America, if you cross the administration, sooner or later it seems as if the FBI comes a’knockin’.

NYPD officers were heckled for arresting five organized anti-vax mandate protesters and detaining a nine year-old girl Wednesday after they barged into the Natural History Museum without showing proof of COVID vaccination. The arrests, which come amid soaring crime in the Big Apple, took place on Wednesday. Trouble began when a half-dozen purported members of the New York Freedom Rally—a group that has been staging anti-vax protests throughout the city—attempted to enter the Manhattan museum without showing their vaccine passports in violation of rules. Those require every visitor five years and older to show proof of vaccination. The nine year-old, named Jayla,
