'I trust our members': Pelosi says insider

of the Justice Department as she again

Nancy Pelosi's new excuse for opposing a ban or limit on lawmaker's stock trading activity is that she always defers to 'trusting our members' and claims it's the Justice Department's responsibility to tackle insider trading.'I do come down always in favor of trusting our members,' the House Speaker said during her weekly briefing on Thursday. 'Now if the impression that is given by some that somebody's doing insider trading – that's a Justice Department issue,' she continued. 'And that has no place in any of this.'

Hmmm . . . your asking the fox to guard the hen house here. Of course she would be against any limiting of congressional insider trading. They have benefitted immensely because of insider trading. Her net worth is not only a lot, it is in the category of true opulence. On a congressional salary yet? As in Orwell's Animal Farm . . . some pigs are more equal than others.

I know barely enough about investing to know that the lottery is a dumb investment. But it seems to ignorant me that requiring members of congress and their immediate family to place their financial affairs in a blind trust of some sort would solve any perceived or real problem. Exempt their congressional pay and all purely personal transactions only for their term of service.

#6, they could be restricted to investing their money in a block of stocks or a sector like the auto industry. This would prevent a lot of money going into one company as the result of insider information.

'Under this roof – figuratively or actually – is the greatest collection of intellect, integrity and imagination for doing the right thing for the American people.' I have great confidence in the integrity of my members – they are remarkable". That Pelosi actually said and believes this is scary! Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, Ilhan Omar, AOC....the list could go on and on. Not one of these members of Congress would fit into Pelosi's description of intellect, integrity, or doing the right thing for the American people. I do agree with the imagination part as they all seem to live in some sort of liberal fantasy world and are all really good at making up lies and false stories.
