Chicago — Mayor Lori Lightfoot and health officials announced Tuesday that individuals 5 years of age and older will be required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to dine indoors and visit gyms or entertainment venues where food or drinks are served.
According to the mayor’s office, the new requirement goes into effect Jan. 3 and is in response to an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases in part by the Omicron variant.(Snip)People age 5 and older must show proof of full vaccination. People age 16 and older will also need to provide identification that matches their vaccination record.

I'm thinking that proof of sanity should be required if you are crazy enough to ever step foot in the City of Chicago.

NY, Boston now Chicago. LA, Philly Houston are next. Might as well start sewing "U" on my clothing now to make it easier for Biden's brown shirts to spot me.

Thanks, but no thanks. Not interested in visiting. They can keep their crime and mandates.

OP, I wonder if they've unwittingly opened up that part of the voting process though.
After all, how can you say you must present an ID to enter a restaurant, but not to vote?
Or, how about, you can't vote if you aren't fully vaccinated? Maybe that becomes a new punishment from the democrats.

Why would anyone stay in Chicago? Don’t care if they’re making big bucks. It’s not worth the moronic tyranny. Drug dealers, different story.

Progressive Democrats are working overtime to create a way to corrupt the next election as they did the past election.

All restaurants, gyms, entertainment venues, and any other establishment that is effected by this useless mandate should just self identify as a polling station for voting. That way, no ID's or shot cards will be required.

I’ve been seeing a lot of new Illinois license plates in suburban Charlotte lately. I understand why all these Yankees want to leave, but if you vote Democrat, WE DO NOT WANT YOU! Don’t come. We are full. No more. You are destroying our way of life. Don’t come.

This is all part of the global communist conspiracy.
It's most immediate goal is to provide an excuse to mail out tens of millions of ballots in the coming November elections - - so that the commies can steal another one.
These people are the purest of evil - - Satan's servants - - in the war against freedom and decency.

I attended a national academic conference at the Palmer House, I believe, in Chicago, 1975, during a blizzard.
Off duty police officers were waiting to be hired as bodyguards by conference attendees..
If it was that dangerous then, almost 50 years ago, how dangerous is it now?

Why? These non-vaccination shots provide NO protection at all from catching, incubating and transmitting the virus.
These shots are TOTAL failures. Pretending otherwise is just fantasy and lies.

Of course, the obvious extension is not being allowed to vote if you aren't vaccinated, and then Dems will find out that a very large percentage of their base is not vaccinated.

According to the city's website, https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid19-vaccine/home/vaccination-data-at-a-glance.html, as of 12/20/21, 63.8% of Chicago residents are vaccinated. Asians have the highest vaccination rate of 71.5%, White 67.3%, Hispanic 59.1%, Black 48.7%. Using liberal logic, I'd say Lightfoot's policy of denying the unvax'd the right to attend theaters, restaurants, sporting events, gyms, etc. is a bit racist.

And all across the city, loudspeakers will blare the immortal words of Gordon Ramsey from any episode of Hell's Kitchen, "...shut it down, SHUT IT ALL DOWN!!"

She will just drive the unvaccinated into the suburbs to consume the goods and services that will be denied them within the City of Chicago.
