A team of nine black climbers is attempting to scale Mount Everest to tackle the mountain's 'intentional lack of access for black people' and mountaineering's 'colonial history'. The Full Circle Everest Expedition, which climbing leader Fred Campbell described as 'the first all black and brown expedition to the highest place on earth' in an Instagram video, is hoping to change the future of mountaineering. The first two men to ever complete the climb to Mount Everest's summit were Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, from Nepal, and Sir Edmund Hillary, from New Zealand, in 1953. In fact, many people from the Sherpa community climb the mountain daily during peak season to carry

Lack of access for black people ? Do they climb differently than other people? Do they have more or less arms and legs than white people? The people on the left must be exhausted from all the time they spend looking for racism .

How can a mountain block access to itself? It’s a mountain, for Pete’s sake. It’s there. Climb it if you want. Or don’t. Your choice. A mountain can’t be racist. That’s just stupid.

I’m white. No way I’m doing that. Do these climbers have a Valentines Card collection too? If they don’t does that mean that collecting Valentines cards is racist? Or just that not many people want to and those people are all distributed within the white race?
I don’t think it’s true that everything white people do is worth emulating.
In any event, they’ve proved their assertion is not true. Aren’t tibetians pretty dark skinned?

This is one of the most pathetic stories I’ve ever read. They just don’t get it. No one “intentionally” kept them from doing this. The earlier climbers didn’t have GoFundMe and a bunch of clothing and gear sponsors. And look at them, read the bios included. They think it’s a lark. I wouldn’t want to have to rely on any one of them and that is what this is all about. Lotsa luck. They’ll need it. They don’t have enough else…

"A team of nine black climbers is attempting to scale Mount Everest to tackle the mountain's 'intentional lack of access for black people' and mountaineering's 'colonial history'." The WORLD respects merit & accomplishment. That is NOT epitomized by "snatch & grabbers" or educational under-performance or fathers who disappear. Victims and criminals don't deserve respect (though some victims deserve compassion). Nor do whiners and victims deserve respect. Excel at what you offer society and the world will beat a path to your door no matter what color you are.
The world is color-blind to demonstrated ability. SJWs will NEVER obtain respect for their victim-clients.

Yes, God put that mountain there and made it so steep that Black people couldn't climb it, while Asian, White and Indigenous people have been able to make the trek. Perhaps the DNA code changes brought on by the COVID shots will enable Blacks to achieve the worthy goal of climbing to the top of this mountain.

Experienced climbers routinely die on Everest. It is an unforgiving environment where humans cannot live naturally. If they attempt this trip, it is going to end badly.
But, that's a big if. Call me cynical, but I think this group is hoping to collect a lot of "donations", pretend to train and never actually attempt it.

Perhaps they mean "African"? Well, Mt. Everest is not in Africa, could that have something to do with the traditionally few Africans to climb that mountain? Who do you think was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in the not so long ago? Vikings?

An inflammatory article written by a puerile doofus. It appears to be an attempt to generate sympathy for an ethnic group by citing imaginary racism. It's like all the hoopla around the Red Tails, the group of WW II black avaitors who 'never got their recognition' for being...a bunch of guys who learned how to fly. By the time they entered the war, the Luftwaffe had been effectively neutralized. White liberals are actually insane people-they want to prop up blacks in every aspect of society, but only on THEIR terms. Namely, that blacks openly acknowledge that they are victims, have been victims, and will continue to be victims forever. But if someone like Candace Owens or Larry Elder calls them out for their hypocrisy, they they are called white supremist!! The Left are indeed crazy.

#12, #29, #36, and #49 nailed it. Like aviation, or the sea, the mountain doesn't care what color you are. You will die just quickly as someone of any skin color. Base Camp 2 is ~17900 feet above sea level, then another 11000 more altitude to the summit.
And as noted, the dead remain on the mountain as a grim reminder to all who attempt the climb.

Mountaineering is racist because there are no mountains in Africa for them to "evolve" on.
Swimming is racist, because blacks don't float.
Altitude is racist because blacks can't tolerate cold like those of other skin color.
Watch as they become the first group of black mountaineers to quit the climb, or all die from an amateur mistake.

Every climber of Mt. Everest I have ever read about did it as a personal challenge. It is one of the great acts you can accomplish as a climber.
But blacks just can't seem to do anything anymore without sticking lie-beral politics and racism into the mix. And that just makes me hope they fail, and learn a hard lesson in the process. Then maybe they can come back and actually just climb Everest for the sheer thrill of being able to say they accomplished this great task. But as long as they are going to make it a big loud racist action, I doubt they can fight gravity and the weight of that chip on their shoulders at the same time!!!

Mt. Everest is located in two countries, Tibet, claimed by China, and Nepal. The population of Nepal is 80 percent Mongolian. Prior to 1953, Nepal denied Everest access to all foreigners. George Mallory and Andrew Irvine climbed the Tibetan side in 1924, but never returned. British climberEdmond Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Nogay were the first to officially return from the summit in 1953. Neither Tibet nor Nepal was ever colonized by any European state.
