The Top Six News Stories of 2021

Original Article

In this installment of our weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative loom back on six major news stories from 2021. #6: The gubernatorial elections in Virginia and New Jersey. PF: When it comes to news stories for this year, it seems to me there was a lot more bad than good; and I’m generally an optimistic person. It also marks the second year in a row that I’m making such an assessment. We’re in a rut. Yet while there wasn’t much to smile about this year, what happened in Virginia and New Jersey in early-November certainly qualifies.

Comments:

I would add the increasing wokeness in our military as #7.

I'm not yet entirely convinced that the Virginia governor is what so many people think he is. He could very easily be just another Romney clone. Beware.

10 Christmas Songs That Must Be Cancelled

The song “Baby It’s Cold Outside” has certainly had its fair share of controversy in recent years. In 2018, the infamous Christmas classic made headlines when numerous radio stations moved to scrap the song after its lyrics were deemed controversial. Although many conservatives may see this as another example of cancel culture plaguing our society, I view it as a necessary development for a more progressive civilization. Such grotesque and misogynistic rhetoric should not be tolerated, especially in supposed family-oriented music. While the attempted canceling of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” is a step in the right direction, it didn’t go nearly far enough.
Right Responds To Cancel Culture By Building
Its Own Infrastructure, And The Left Goes Nuts

Last week the corrupt media’s penchant for spinning all things conservative caused a near-fatal case of whiplash. The left began by chastising conservatives for supposedly building “its own echo chamber,” but by the next day, when news broke that Devin Nunes was resigning from Congress to serve as the CEO of Donald Trump’s new media company, the complained-of conservative ecosystem merely represented grift. Both narratives are false, however, which is precisely why leftists peddled them so hard. Axios launched the “echo chamber” accusation with its article titled, “Right wing builds its own echo chamber.”

The Los Angeles Unified School District’s Office of Human Relations, Equity and Diversity hosted a 10-week online club for LGBT elementary schoolers, down to four-year-olds. It also prepared a series of presentations that promoted leftwing gender theory and deviant sexualities including the “Two Spirit” sexuality. The club was called “Rainbow Club,” and met once a week for 10 weeks. It was advertised to students from preschool to fifth grade as a “virtual club for LGBTQ+ elementary school students, their friends, and their grown-ups.”(“TK” stands for transitional kindergarten, for children who are four years old, or preschool age.)

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Science says that most clowns are riddled with chlamydia. OK, if you’re in a leftist blue city you probably shouldn’t look too hard.It was refreshing to be in small-town America for a couple of nights just to remember that not all of the country has lost its mind.

Liberal anti-monopoly activists and Democrats are pressing for the government to prosecute Big Tech CEOs and top executives for monopolistic behavior and illegal activity that they say has gone egregiously unchecked. The liberal antitrust activists are calling on the Justice Department, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission to criminally investigate and prosecute prominent tech leaders for hurting advertisers, investors, and some users by flouting the law while enriching themselves.

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation fired funeral event planner Tim Unes ahead of former Republican Kansas Sen. Bob Dole’s funeral on Thursday. Unes’s crime? He was subpoenaed by the House Select Committee on Jan. 6 for exercising the sacred constitutional right of free assembly. The firing didn’t come at the demands of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, however. Nor did it come from Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney, one of two Pelosi-appointed Republicans to serve on the committee. Unes’s termination came at the behest of one of the highest elected Republicans in the country: Mitch McConnell.

Companies across the country, and indeed from around the world, aggressively work against conservative ideals and openly display their disdain for our values. They often do so while simultaneously taking our money as we willingly play along. It’s time we stopped. We find these companies in virtually every industry, and in all sizes, shapes, and colors. In a great and free country like these United States, these companies enjoy our freedom of speech, and they have every right to say and act how they see fit; within reason. Similarly, we also have the freedom to choose with whom we spend our money,

Jeff Fortenberry is not the person you’d expect to be charged with any crime, much less the crime of lying to the FBI. Painfully earnest, the Nebraska Republican congressman is a devout Roman Catholic who has a perfect pro-life voting record. He served on the powerful House Appropriations Committee, and has developed a reputation for activism on behalf of persecuted religious minorities in Iraq. It was that last focus that ended up getting him in the crosshairs of the Department of Justice.

"I believe it’s a Walgreens in California cited it, but the data didn’t back it up," she added. UNITED STATES - JUNE 30: Rep. The United States may soon lose its status as a truly global superpower, both on Earth and in the heavens of low orbit. “The threats are really growing and expanding every single day,” Space Force Vice Chief of Operations Gen. David Thompson warned in an interview with the Washington Post published Tuesday. As the Chinese and Russians continue to enhance their capabilities beyond Earth-bound gravity, the United States finds itself in the midst of a new 21st-century space race, competing with world powers developing new weapons to target satellites.

In the upside-down morality of the left, it is perfectly acceptable for criminal gangs to target high-end stores free of consequences. At once ascribing poverty, immoral historical legacies, and contemporary systemic racism, we are supposed to believe that what is happening is actually a form of justice. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is no moral or humanitarian justification for the now-daily shoplifting and burglary sprees witnessed time and again in various California cities and across the country. Hillary Clinton was on television Sunday promoting her new political thriller State of Terror—which she admitted is based on her 2016 rival, former President Donald Trump. In her third interview this month, the former first lady accused Trump of 'masterminding' the January 6 Capitol riot and said he was a 'danger' to the country. Her recent media blitz has fueled rumors that Clinton is testing the waters for her own re-election bid after repeatedly calling a potential Trump 2024 ticket a threat to democracy. This morning, CNN host Fareed Zakaria asked about claims her new novel is a 'thinly veiled attack on President Trump.'

If you aren’t white, you may not be able to go way outside. At least, that appears to be the belief of a North Carolina State University professor. KangJae “Jerry” Lee — of the school’s College of Natural Resources — recognizes the racism keeping you from enjoying the great outdoors. Cultural differences, he asserts, can’t explain why there aren’t more black people fishing, hunting, and hiking. Also an insufficient excuse: income disparity. The instructor laments America’s adventure/nature gap, but he’s bulls-eyed the culprit: systemic racism. Wichita’s KAKE recently jawed it up with Jerry on the lack of outdoor equity.

Karl asked if we will reach a point where we don’t have to wear masks on airplanes. “I don’t think so,” Fauci said. “I think when you’re dealing with a close space,

The fact that the FBI has lost its way has been on public display for at least five years now. Truth be told, it probably strayed off course way before that. But during the Trump Presidency, it became too obvious to ignore. It has been involved in everything from the creation of an “insurance policy” against the peaceful transition of power, to the targeting of parents as domestic terrorists for the sin of disagreeing with school boards. How did our “premier law enforcement agency” stray so far from its motto of fidelity, bravery, and integrity? Simply put, the FBI’s current state is the result of horrible leadership.
