The Elizabeth Dole Foundation fired funeral event planner Tim Unes ahead of former Republican Kansas Sen. Bob Dole’s funeral on Thursday. Unes’s crime? He was subpoenaed by the House Select Committee on Jan. 6 for exercising the sacred constitutional right of free assembly. The firing didn’t come at the demands of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, however. Nor did it come from Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney, one of two Pelosi-appointed Republicans to serve on the committee. Unes’s termination came at the behest of one of the highest elected Republicans in the country: Mitch McConnell.

Comments:

Trump Derangement Syndrome doesn't just infect Dems, it gets Republicans too. The GOP needs a change in leadership.

As the keynote speaker of the Tea Party convention in 2010, Sarah Palin first gave the mantra "First the RINOs then the 'Rats". Otherwise we will never get rid of them. Trump is the only one who fully understands this.

Mitch McConnell has been around too long and must be exorcised from office. He has done nothing for the American people, nothing for the repub party, nothing for our President, Donald J. Trump. Why is it always the same senators who vote with demcommies, including this bag of wind, mcconnell and there is not one senator who will speak out against this guy or suggest he be ousted from his leadership(?) position.

That old man needs an early retirement. He shouldn't be allowed to go out when he chooses with a nice pension and future honors--such as Bob Dole received. America is in a shameful state and it's top down.

All part of the Deep State, and ANYONE doing ANYTHING that threatens their 'both hands in the cookie jar' approach to governing is a serious threat. ALL stops to be pulled out. President Trump was a serious threat to the Deep State. And every person who supported him MUST be excised like a cancer from the Deep State bureaucracy. I do not trust Mitch at all, never have. He has gotten many good judges passed, and really deserves credit for blocking Garland from the Supreme Court, but beyond that area....he's pretty worthless.

Companies across the country, and indeed from around the world, aggressively work against conservative ideals and openly display their disdain for our values. They often do so while simultaneously taking our money as we willingly play along. It’s time we stopped. We find these companies in virtually every industry, and in all sizes, shapes, and colors. In a great and free country like these United States, these companies enjoy our freedom of speech, and they have every right to say and act how they see fit; within reason. Similarly, we also have the freedom to choose with whom we spend our money,

It was that last focus that ended up getting him in the crosshairs of the Department of Justice.

In the upside-down morality of the left, it is perfectly acceptable for criminal gangs to target high-end stores free of consequences. At once ascribing poverty, immoral historical legacies, and contemporary systemic racism, we are supposed to believe that what is happening is actually a form of justice. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is no moral or humanitarian justification for the now-daily shoplifting and burglary sprees witnessed time and again in various California cities and across the country. Rising costs, labor and supply shortages and little support – in addition to climate change and conservation regulations – are all major obstacles threatening the Nash family, which has been in the dairy farming business for 92 years.

President Biden has signed a series of executive orders to make the federal government carbon neutral. The Democrat president on Wednesday ordered federal agencies to purchase electric vehicles, harness wind, solar, and nuclear energy to power facilities, and to use sustainable building materials. The goal is for the federal government to stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by 2050. In the next decade, Biden wants the government to cease purchasing electricity produced from sources that emit carbon dioxide. By 2035, the administration wants all new federal cars and truck purchases to be zero-emissions. Right now, only about 1.5% of the government fleet is electric vehicles.

The court ruled Friday that a lawsuit by abortion providers in Texas can move forward but left the ban on abortions after about six weeks in place as challenges are being litigated. The high court punted the law's legality. Its action today sends the case by abortion providers back to a district court, which could lead to it being suspended.
