A newly-ordained pastor from Chicago is dressing up in drag in order to lead church services with children. Aaron Musser, who was ordained this summer, can be seen addressing children from a pulpit in his church dressed in a blonde wig, white dress, and makeup before spreading the word of the Lord to children at his parish at St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Logan Square.(Snip)The announcement noted that 'Seminarian Aaron' would be 'preaching in drag!' adding that the church wanted everyone 'to wear garments/accessories that make you feel 100%, like the best version of yourself.' Musser writes openly about incorporating 'Queerness' into his teachings

Was a study of the Bible required in the seminary he attended? Apparently not.

ELCA For Sure! Luther and Melanchthon are spinning in their graves! Biblical teaching has been convoluted beyond any semblance of the pure doctrine of Law and Gospel! Missouri Synod remains faithful to scripture!

Not all Lutherans are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)--which has been described as standing for “Every Liberal Cause Around.” The ELCA does NOT represent all Lutherans; the ELCA began going off the deep end about 25 years ago and should not be identifying as “Lutheran” as it clearly represents extreme liberalism. The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCSM) and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) are theologically conservative churches in this country. In 2010, there was a split from the ELCA forming the North American Lutheran Church (NALC) that identifies as being between the liberal ELCA and conservative LCMS and WELS.
The ELCA has succumbed to the political correctness of today’s secular world while the LCMS and WELS synods treasure and adhere to what is written in Scripture. The ELCA has gone liberal progressive. It happens when pastors and/or members yield to political correctness instead of standing firm in adhering to Christian tradition and the Lutheran Confessions. In 2009 the ELCA voted to “change fundamental scriptural teaching.” The ELCA has strayed from the theology of the historic Christian tradition and the Lutheran Confessions; now, there is an erosion of biblical authority—“the Bible is not being used seriously as the norm for faith and life.” Instead, the ELCA seems to have accepted the world’s agenda in placing its focus and social and political actions.
The ECLA should stop identifying as Lutherans. It is written that there is no “pluralism” when it comes to the First Commandment. Scripture is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, so there is no “pluralism” when it comes to accepting homosexuality as “just as another way of being.” Simply stated, there is only one God. Scripture states that homosexuality is an abomination/sin: ~~~ (Genesis19:5, Leviticus18:22, Leviticus20:13, Deuteronomy22:5, Deuteronomy23:18, Judges 9:22-23 Romans1:26-27, 1Corinthians6:9-10, 2Peter6-11, Jude1:6-8, Revelation21:5-8, Revelation22:14-15) Simply stated, homosexuality is contrary to what is written in Scripture, homosexual behavior is sinful. Hate the sin, love the sinner.

He is fortunate that he was not 'preaching' to my children. He would have been fitted for a millstone and taken swimming.

I may have had to don sackcloth and ashes to attend. The ELCA synod is not the same as the Missouri Synod. St. Luke's mentioned here is ELCA (for any Lutes still interested).

ELCA =
NOT Evangelical
NOT Lutheran
NOT a church
They are in America
Disgusting lot. Every LCMS Lutheran is waiting for the day these idiots go away, or that they at least quit pretending to be Lutheran.

#1 - the ELCA believe the Bible CONTAINS God's Word, not that it actually IS God's Word. This they believe they can decide which parts are true, and which are not.

Several years ago, a spiritual liberalism from Germany infected many American churches. It is called the Historical/Critical Method of interpreting Scripture. Basically, what that says is that man's wisdom trumps God's wisdom. Example: It doesn't make sense for a fish to be able to swallow a human alive and spit him out 3 days later---so that story is not true. A virgin giving birth? Impossible! It must be a misinterpretation. Etc. Lutherans were not immune to this infection. However, in the early 1970s, a growing number of Missouri Synod members were voicing concern about what was being taught in our Lutheran seminaries; particularly the one in St. Louis. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the Historical/Critical Method was being taught at the seminary and trickling down into the congregations by the seminary graduates and professors. The Missouri Synod did a purge which resulted in most of the faculty and students of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis walking out in protest. Eventually, they formed their own school: Seminary in Exile aka Seminex. By God's grace the Missouri Synod was put back on track in its foundational doctrine of Scriptural inerrancy. Sadly, many denominations even non-Lutheran denominations, did not stem this heretical infection and we're seeing this apostasy spread throughout the Church.

I don't care how you dress, just don't project your mental illness on children and pretend you are a representative of God. It doesn't fly in any country. Go read in a library or something.

Oh My! I was raised in a Missouri Synod School and Church. I am now 80 years old. I can't believe that something like this can happen without the members of that Church being horrified. I grew up 60 miles west of Chicago. I had no idea there is now an area that would allow something like this to take place. I do remember when the ELCA broke away from the Missouri Synod, but I guess I still had no idea it was because there were Gays causing the problem. Silly me! I've said many times, lately, I hate to think what kind of country my great-grandchildren are going to be living in. I will be gone, but they are 11 to 2, so they are going to experience things that I never thought possible. So sad!

In the early 90s my son suddenly started having trouble sleeping and was distraught at times. He was probably around 6. We finally got it out of him what was bothering him. He saw a snippet of the Sally Jessie Rafael show. She had on a big man dressed as a woman and interviewed him. That's what this sickness does to children.

Wow! I found it tough to be a Roman Catholic for 40 years of my life, I married an ELCA Lutheran, very religious woman, joined her church, and was comforted and comfortable in my faith, loved the Lutheran joyful Mass.
Then our pastor announced the decision of the ELCA to ordain practicing homosexuals, and that was the beginning of the end. ELCA has lost about 30-40% of its membership since then. And our pastor retired. And I suppose I have, too, using Kung Flu as an excuse to avoid Mass.

So far, the beauty of this country is you don't have to attend a perverted church like this unless you want to.
