Controversial bail hearing not recorded;
human error blamed

Original Article

The only people who know what happened in a Milwaukee County courtroom last month when Darrell E. Brooks Jr. — now charged with six homicides in the Waukesha Christmas Parade attack — was released on $1,000 bail are those there that day. They're not talking. And there is no audio recording of what happened.

Comments:

This is laughable...systems error. Mics not "powered on" that day. Just amazing what our "justice" system has become in our times. We don't leave no stinkin' records!

A good reporter would find out who else appeared in the courtroom that day and see if their hearing was recorded. I wonder if there’s any left.

When you are doing crooked stuff, you don't record it. How hard is that to figure out. This DA office needs to be cleaned out. Everyone fired and start over again with sane people who are against crime, and willing to actually punish criminals.

How convenient. It probably was recorded, and the recording deleted. No one would believe it was "lost," so instead the manufactured excuse is that it never happened.

No video of Epstein's "suicide," first it was broken cameras, then accidentally erased recordings. FBI loses all the Epstein blackmail CDs with nude photos and labeled with VIP names. No recording of bail hearing because someone forgot to turn on the system. How much BS are we expected to believe in a single year?

Sounds like a coverup of something nefarious. If they dont have a redo, in a public hearing, charge everyone including the judge with being accomplices after the fact. A terroristic murderer like Brooks should be in Gitmo, not back on the streets.

There should be a bunch of people who were present in that courtroom on that day who are now facing unemployment and disbarment from ever practicing law. There is absolutely no excuse for this, none.

SNAFU...they blame it on the multimillion dollar cash infusion they received/spent to make the system "Covid Compliant". It created new problems that ...surprise, surprise...apparently were NOT solved by simply "Throwing Money" at. Overseen by people that had ZERO clue as to what they were paying for or how it operated. All the attention seems to be about him getting out on a $1000 cash bond...NOT the $10,000 cash bond reduced to $500 the prior year, for even MORE serious charges, and the fact he had already waited for trial on THOSE charges for nearly 2 YEARS. No excuse for that delay. "Was he a Felon caught with a Gun?" YES..."Done". Five years minimum, we'll deal with the rest of the charges when we have time. "Justice Delayed is Justice Denied"...and a deadly risk to the citizens who deserve Justice. NOT the Criminals whom the "Criminal Justice" system seems to think they are meant to represent.

Summit View Elementary special education kindergarten teacher Sarah Whaley pinned a LGBTQ pride flag in her classroom and refused to take it down after the school district requested she do so. As a result, the district suspended her for a day and removed the flag in her absence. The local teachers' union responded by encouraging staff to wear rainbows in solidarity with Whaley on Friday. That idea spread to parents and students.

More and more informed observers are asking why, after 13+ years of the Federal Reserve’s increasingly aggressive monetary interventions, the benefits remain so skewed toward Wall Street over Main Street. The answer is simple: follow the money. Using its traditional tools, the Fed pumps money into the financial system, hoping it will make its way into the broader economy. But the Fed can’t control where the money goes or who financial institutions decide to lend to, and clearly, the primary beneficiaries have been investors and the ultra-rich.

If you aren’t white, you may not be able to go way outside. At least, that appears to be the belief of a North Carolina State University professor. KangJae “Jerry” Lee — of the school’s College of Natural Resources — recognizes the racism keeping you from enjoying the great outdoors. Cultural differences, he asserts, can’t explain why there aren’t more black people fishing, hunting, and hiking. Also an insufficient excuse: income disparity. The instructor laments America’s adventure/nature gap, but he’s bulls-eyed the culprit: systemic racism. Wichita’s KAKE recently jawed it up with Jerry on the lack of outdoor equity.

The fact that the FBI has lost its way has been on public display for at least five years now. Truth be told, it probably strayed off course way before that. But during the Trump Presidency, it became too obvious to ignore. It has been involved in everything from the creation of an “insurance policy” against the peaceful transition of power, to the targeting of parents as domestic terrorists for the sin of disagreeing with school boards. How did our “premier law enforcement agency” stray so far from its motto of fidelity, bravery, and integrity? Simply put, the FBI’s current state is the result of horrible leadership.

Call it Woke Side Story. Because there’s woke, really woke, über woke, and then there’s this: not including subtitles for a movie’s Spanish dialogue because you don’t want to give “English the power over the Spanish.” That’s exactly what director Steven Spielberg did, and why, in his recently released West Side Story (WSS), a “remake” of the iconic 1961 film of the same name.
