Don’t feel sorry for Cam — he did

Cam Newton chose not to get vaccinated. Bill Belichick chose to keep a quarterback room that was. Life is all about choices. The New England Patriots stunned the sports world on Tuesday morning when Newton was released by the team. The timing caught everyone off guard as the decision went against every narrative that was in the public eye, as Newton and rookie Mac Jones were locked in a contested battle for the starting spot.

Comments:

It's not just nurses and Walmart checkers being pressed. Here is a "star" who is turning down millions to remain unvaxxed. Be interesting whether Newton catches on with another team without vaxxing first.

Did Belichick SAY that Cam was cut because he refused to be vaxed? Or is that just what this guy is saying?

Will the team pay his survivors if the shot kills him or maims him? The guy has natural immunity if I read correctly that he had had the virus. Immunity is better than the shot which is decaying quickly. What NAZI our people have become.

If Cam Newton was a great quarterback, why was he "locked in a contested battle for the starting spot?" Was Brady ever locked in a contested battle for the starting slot? From reading articles elsewhere, it sounds more complicated than just vaccine status.

Belichick just came out and said not being vaccinated had nothing to do with his release. He even pointed out that the number of vaccinated players on his team that have had covid was a pretty high number.

Belichick did not cut Cam Newton because he refused the vaccination. Belichick has has murderers on his team. Belichick hired Antonio Brown. Newton is a great physical QB, but not a great mental one. That will not work with Belichick for any long period of time. Belichick wants a QB that studies the game nonstop, morning and night, and can deliver the football, without any turnovers. Belichick saw Mac Jones could deliver the football where needed, and that he studied the game, which is why he was named the starter.

The Pats were 7-9 with Cam. Belecheck ain't gonna be happy being 7-9, which is maybe what they'd be with Cam at the helm. Unlike a lot of other rookie top draft picks QB's that are starting, the Pats have a decent offensive line to protect the QB (remember, they had a guy by the name of Brady there for awhile). They can afford to take a chance on a young QB that should have decent protection in the pocket. Maybe the Pats will be 8-9 this year, but hey, they'll do it with a QB that could be the franchise for years.

More and more informed observers are asking why, after 13+ years of the Federal Reserve’s increasingly aggressive monetary interventions, the benefits remain so skewed toward Wall Street over Main Street. The answer is simple: follow the money. Using its traditional tools, the Fed pumps money into the financial system, hoping it will make its way into the broader economy. But the Fed can’t control where the money goes or who financial institutions decide to lend to, and clearly, the primary beneficiaries have been investors and the ultra-rich.

But Blom, who is white, acknowledges that Milwaukee doesn’t provide everyone with the same opportunities. She recalled an instance years ago when a Black friend house sat for her. When he was outside the home one day, a passerby questioned his presence there.
