Four FBI officials hired prostitutes overseas,
inspector general says

The Justice Department Office of the Inspector General on Tuesday said four FBI officials hired prostitutes while on the job. In an investigative summary, the department watchdog said the officials were on assignment overseas when they “solicited, procured, and accepted commercial sex” in violation of FBI and Justice Department policies. A fifth official reportedly solicited, but did not hire, a prostitute. “The OIG investigation further found that five officials failed to report contact or relationships with foreign nationals, including foreign nationals from whom they procured commercial sex, in violation of FBI policies,” the summary states. During the probe, two of the officials being investigated resigned, two retired and one was removed.

Comments:

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between an agent and a streetwalker. Presidential Son Hunter Biden hired plenty of prostitutes overseas, some who were said to be wildly underage and with documentation of same gathered by foreign governments for blackmail purposes. If that's no problem, then why are they hassling the agents?

Perhaps it is more than whether or not commercial sex is legal in the country being visited. FBI agents cannot be compromised. Perhaps it isn't so much about sex, but more about black mail.

The FBI has permanently disgraced itself in the last fifteen years to the point where no normal, informed American citizen could have any faith in their abilities, their patriotism, or their integrity. They did this to themselves. The FBI should be disbanded, or thoroughly steam-cleaned from top to bottom.

Homeland Security has ditched an interview requirement for spouses and children of refugees who want to come to the U.S. as a package deal, saying it was taking too long to complete the cases without much benefit from the extra work. The move is the latest deletion of a Trump-era security policy. The Biden team said requiring interviews was “inconsistent” with President Biden’s executive orders calling for a more inclusive immigration system. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the government’s legal immigration agency, said it can still do interviews on a case-by-case basis, but only when “there is a need to do so.”

Everyone’s understandably focused today on how Cheney embarrassed Trump Jr and the Fox News gang by reading their texts to Trump on January 6. Ed has a nice write-up about it here. But don’t miss the forest for the trees. The point Cheney was making isn’t that Fox News hosts are hypocrites, although they are.
