Washington—President Biden smirked and walked away Wednesday when The Post asked why he hasn’t done more to push China to be transparent on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden was stone-faced when asked about his own responsibility for the US crossing 800,000 pandemic deaths—before breaking into a broad grin when asked about China. “On 800,000 coronavirus deaths, do you have a statement on your responsibility, and why haven’t you asked China to do more to be transparent on the [virus] origins?”(Snip)Biden, departing to tour tornado damage in Kentucky, gave no answer as he smiled and waved off the question.

Comments:

The walking puppet installed by China and our agencies smirked and strolled, and that was the only question he did not answer. At least he didn't take a swing at anyone.

D.C. Public Schools is preparing to cancel its founder and the city’s first mayor as it moves to rename an elementary school on Capitol Hill. Brent Elementary School in Southeast—named for Robert Brent, who essentially created the city’s government from scratch in the early 1800s—is among a handful of schools in the renaming engagement process, which aims to erase the names of slave owners and segregationists from school buildings in the 2023-24 academic year. Born into a prominent Catholic family in the Maryland Colony, Brent served 10 years as mayor of Washington City. He created the public school system, the fire department and the police force

A new study out of Columbia University says the Omicron variant is “markedly resistant” to vaccines and boosters might not do much to help, spelling bad news for the country as Omicron spreads and COVID-19 cases rise nationally. “A striking feature of this variant is the large number of spike mutations that pose a threat to the efficacy of current COVID-19 vaccines and antibody therapies,” according to the study authored by more than 20 scientists at Columbia and the University of Hong Kong.(Snip)The scientists express concern in the study published Wednesday that the variant’s “extensive” mutations can “greatly compromise” the vaccine, even neutralizing it.

Approximately 168,000 of the 800,000 U.S. COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented by the Covid vaccines, a new analysis finds. The Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) analyzed Covid death data in the U.S., and found that tens-of-thousands of deaths over the past six months could have been prevented if people had gotten vaccinated. They used the death rate among fully vaccinated people—who do occasionally die from the virus despite the overall rarity—and calculated how many unvaccinated people would have lived if they had received the jab. September and October were especially brutal, with a combined 92,800 deaths deemed preventable.
