I am all for the Police, I do not have a problem with their chasing fleeing auto's, but at the same time they must use due caution. They cannot let their excitement and adrenaline take over for their good sense. I have driven professional and volunteer emergency response vehicles for 60 years, and i know for certain that intersections are dangerous places , every class I ever took told me so everyone I instructed was told that. You cannot just blow off an intersection.

The Prosecutor wants to make an example of someone in this case. Unfortunately he is choosing to make an example of the wrong person. The accident, while tragic, was the result of a criminal fleeing the police at high speed. The escaped criminal narrowly missed the unfortunate victim. Charging the police officer with manslaughter and other charges while in a legal vehicle to make a political point is tragic. Unfortunately for the police officer, his trial is in Minneapolis and the prosecutor's anti police rhetoric along with the anti police atmosphere spell gloom and doom for this guy. Look for a big drop in Police cooperation with the Prosecutors Office as a result of this vindictive prosecution.

If only the Prosecutor had the same feeling of power and use it to prosecute criminals Minneapolis might not be on the news so much for it's level of crime.

A criminal blows through an intersection with a police car with lights and sirens following and the victim goes into the intersection??? Even with a light change I ALWAYS check both ways because of idiots that don't believe a red light means stop. Besides if you hear a siren, don't you check to see where it is coming from??? While it is tragic that this person died, there has to be some responsibility for making sure the road is clear when you just saw someone blow through the intersection at a high speed.

Sounds like a Darwin-award winner to me. Can't hear the siren or see the lights or doesn't grasp a pursuit is in progress after just being missed by the criminal? And he reproduced six times!

Lights and sirens aren't necessarily apparent. If you spot one pay attention. There are probably 3 more following.

We’ve all heard the slogan “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” and human nature seems to bear out that bit of wisdom. The beginning of the book of Genesis recounts the story of Cain and Abel, two brothers who had a fatal falling out long before guns were invented. The only human remains found in the La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles belonged to a young woman who seems to have been a homicide victim 9000 years ago, again, long before guns were invented. Even after the invention of guns, people continue to kill each other with everything from common household implements to exotic poisons to complicated bombs.

Steven Spielberg’s long-awaited remake of Stephen Sondheim’s hit musical, West Side Story, is raising eyebrows after the director decided to release the film without subtitles to help English-speaking audiences follow along with the Spanish dialog. Spielberg and writer Tony Kushner decided to hew toward authenticity for the scenes involving the Puerto Rican characters and have them speak in Spanish in many of their scenes. However, Spielberg also decided to forego subtitles to help strictly English-speaking audiences understand what the characters are saying in the Spanish-only and mixed Spanish-English scenes, The Blast reported. Some Spanish-speaking commenters on Twitter were thrilled that Spielberg was excluding English-speakers from understanding the Spanish scenes.

The news of the emerging Omicron variant was greeted with a giant shrug by most of America, and it’s no surprise why. The total failure of our establishment to earn our trust over the last two years of this pandemic made it inevitable that a huge number of people, at best, don’t care, and at worst think it’s a calculated lie designed to prolong this nonsense. The COVIDians are positively turgid over the idea of more mandates, more lockdowns, more masks, and more viro-fascism. So when the CEO of Moderna states that the vaccine might not be as effective against this new mutation as to earlier ones,
