The National Basketball Association (NBA) flexed its social justice muscles this week when the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition released a new video advertising the various causes that the organization will push. The video marks the coalition’s first step onto the media scene after the NBA announced the social justice-minded group last year. “Our goal is really simple. We want to take moments of protest, moments of people power like we saw last year and turn them into public policy.” Executive Director of the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition James Cadogan said in the video. “We want to change laws.”

Comments:

And while you try to change laws, we're going to change the channel. Go woke, go broke, NBA.

Yes we want a change in the law. White players must be mandated to be 80% of the teams, same as the proportion as in the population.

Haven’t watched a game in over 10 years as these clowns only know how to put up three pointers. IMHO return to boxing out, filling the lanes on a fast break, and denying the base line would be time better spent. But no these freaks of humanity want to emphasize social justice rubbish. GTH

I refuse to subject myself to watching professional sports, and a disgusted that the NBA supports child slave labor in China by endorsing their shoes. That said, the NBA does have one positive thing--it provides a good job for a segment of the population that would otherwise be drawing unemployment and welfare benefits.

Remove the guts, feathers, nose rings and tattoos and what do you have? A sport that does require massive coordination, talent and ability. That said, the dumbest nba player can shoot a basketball far better than any dumb/smart person who is not in the nba. Absolute fact. What is not factual is that shooting a basketball does not bless the stupid with uncanny intelligence.

Interesting, but maybe they should start by realizing that the white liberal/progressive democrats have not been their friend for the past 50 years. After all, many of those laws are their laws right? From liberal, deep blue cites and states. Then, I would demand that every criminal case that has DNA available, be tested, and determine if they convicted the right person.

I almost never watched NBA games over the past few years. I quit before the woke nonsense when they started letting the players take several steps going to the basket. In HS the refs would call you for walking if your foot slipped forward. Now it’s boring and it takes half an hour to play the last three minutes with all the deliberate fouling.|

NBA viewership has crashed and burned over the last few seasons, as idiotic and evil "wokeness" have infested what should be non-political entertainment. This should put the nail in their coffin. Sure, this will appeal to inner-city blacks. But most of them can't afford $100 a ticket to sit through a game. As all those "rich" white fans get turned off and stop coming, and they are playing to half-empty venues, and they have to cut salaries to these spoiled evil racist thug players, I'm guessing they will try a too-little-too-late turnaround. But, hey, it won't affect me. After being a huge Spurs fan for years, I haven't attended, or even watched, a game in several years. I just don't miss it or care in the least any more.

It's been covered for months, and it's a trend that doesn't look to be changing any time soon. Former President Donald Trump, should he run again in 2024, continues to have an edge against President Joe Biden. While Trump has not yet announced any formal plans, he has increasingly been teasing that a run is likely. Other people also think he will run in 2024. A poll released on Thursday by Redfield & Wilton Strategies shows Trump with a plurality of support over Biden. Forty two percent of voters would vote for Trump in 2024, while just 38 percent would vote for Biden.

The Democrat president on Wednesday ordered federal agencies to purchase electric vehicles, harness wind, solar, and nuclear energy to power facilities, and to use sustainable building materials. The goal is for the federal government to stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by 2050. In the next decade, Biden wants the government to cease purchasing electricity produced from sources that emit carbon dioxide. By 2035, the administration wants all new federal cars and truck purchases to be zero-emissions. Right now, only about 1.5% of the government fleet is electric vehicles.
