China upset that U.S. forces have been
training Taiwanese troops

I’m guessing that this topic didn’t make it onto the agenda during Joe Biden’s recent phone call with Xi Jinping. It’s being reported today that the United States military has had a small contingent of troops, both soldiers and Marines, operating in Taiwan for the past year. The troops have reportedly been conducting training for Taiwanese troops in both ground tactics and small boat operations. Needless to say, the Chinese are not thrilled with this news and see it as a breach of longstanding agreements between America and China. To put it mildly, they’re not taking the news well. (Wall Street Journal)

Comments:

Communist China owns Despicable Joe. They can destroy him in the blink of an eye - - if he shuffles out of line. So - - look for the overnight withdrawal of US aid to Taiwan. The ChiComs MUST be obeyed.

Watch for “woke” Milley to come out and say that Biden did not know anything about US Armed Forces members being in Taiwan and blame Trump for sending them to Taiwan to train the Taiwanese military. By creating controversy over those deployments, the US media is giving the Chinese Communist party an excuse to initiate military action against Taiwan that could quickly spiral out of control.

We trained Afghan troops for 20 years, so I'm not sure why China is concerned. Afghan's dropped the guns we gave them faster than a Frenchman in a Schnitzel stand. Maybe they are worried that all the courses on CRT will radicalize them and make trouble after they take control of Taiwan next week.

We just can't leave well enough alone, can we? We have become the Losers of the Free World...and it appears we can't help ourselves. Whether Trump or Biden, this is just plain stupidly provocative. So is basing any US/NATO troops in Eastern Europe. Let the Danes and Norwegians be tripwires...

Former President Donald Trump says he hasn't heard a peep from special counsel John Durham as he wraps up his yearslong investigation into the origins and conduct of the Russia inquiry. Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt popped the question Thursday during a wide-ranging interview with the 45th president, who has long decried special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation as a "witch hunt" that targeted his allies and himself. "I’ve never heard from Durham, never once. I never heard from him," Trump said to Hewitt following inquiries about whether the former president has been contacted for an interview or if he knows anything about the special counsel's progress.

Talk of “peace in our time” is exactly the wrong answer to China’s “We’re ready to rumble” message. Washington needs to act, and now, to get Beijing to back down.
