A university in Washington has created segregated housing specifically for Black students. Western Washington University has designated the fourth floor of Alma Clark Glass Hall as housing reserved for its "Black Affinity Housing program," becoming the latest school to adopt such a program. "The program will explore and celebrate the diversity of Black and African American people and culture, with historical and contemporary context," the program website reads, also saying that all "Western students residing in the program help foster a warm and vibrant community supporting social, personal and academic success." "Black Affinity Housing residents, representing all diverse identities, pride themselves on fostering a sense of belonging

Comments:

All Americans are free to have a sense of belonging among others who share a sense of common identity and purpose, provided that they're bLACK. A White person who merely proposed such a thing, let alone made it a reality, would likely be expelled from school.

How nice. It's 1845 all over again. Did they install separate drinking fountains and bathrooms for blacks, too? Special seats at the back of the bus? Blacks never tire of the plantation, even in 2021.

Fine, whatever you want. Give them everything. Remember when they were segregated into "free housing" in the projects. Free housing, utilities and all of it. Within a very short time it was destroyed and dilapidated because they care for nothing when it is "free". Give them everything and tell them never to complain again. Bet it will take 1 year. Nothing free is ever appreciated. Then it will be the fault of "the man" again. Believe it or not people do not like being shot at and having their property destroyed.

Why just housing? What about the dining halls, the student center, the basketball and football stadia, the school’s radio/TV stations and every other aspect of a university? Since admission standards are essentially separate and unequal in order to assist the preferred minority, why not go with complete segregation? It’s all very sad, but elitists know what’s best for us.

Having a world view based on race, gender, sexual orientation, and entitlement leaves one with a very skewed world view. Hence we have blacks that now want segregation even though they fought for over a century to do away with segregation. These blacks will be creating their own ghettos. Maybe they will maintain them better, but that is doubtful. Their sense of entitlement will be that they will expect whitey to maintain their segregated black communities. After all, whitey 'owes them'.

United Airlines said Tuesday that 593 of its employees are facing termination for failing to comply with its Covid-19 vaccination policy, one of the strictest mandates for inoculation from a U.S. company. More than 96% of United’s 67,000-person U.S. workforce complied with the vaccine requirement. The deadline to upload proof of inoculation, or the first shot if receiving a two-dose vaccine, was late Monday. Roughly 2,000 United employees sought exemptions from the mandate, which the airline announced this summer, for religious or medical reasons. The Chicago-based airline had said staff to whom it grants such exemptions will be placed on temporary unpaid leave.
