Nearly 600 United Airlines employees face
termination for failing to comply with
vaccine mandate

United Airlines said Tuesday that 593 of its employees are facing termination for failing to comply with its Covid-19 vaccination policy, one of the strictest mandates for inoculation from a U.S. company. More than 96% of United’s 67,000-person U.S. workforce complied with the vaccine requirement. The deadline to upload proof of inoculation, or the first shot if receiving a two-dose vaccine, was late Monday. Roughly 2,000 United employees sought exemptions from the mandate, which the airline announced this summer, for religious or medical reasons. The Chicago-based airline had said staff to whom it grants such exemptions will be placed on temporary unpaid leave.

Comments:

Even if granted an exemption, you're still in effect fired. How are these mandates legal? Even being compelled to show a vaccination card to the employer should be a HIPPA violation.

All part of the plan. The destruction of the middle class in our society. And when the dust clears we are Cuba and Venezuela. How does it happen? Well the illiterates, being the democratic voters, the parasites of our country are totally dependent on the government. More and more will join this group as the dictators tighten the screws. More and more will join this group, not by choice, but by necessity. First they destroy a business, then they take it over, they nationalize it and totally control it. Those of us who are old enough, saw it happen in real time. In Cuba we saw how Castro did it and in Venezuela we saw how Hugo Chavez did it. A step by step plan right out of the communist manifesto. This is how communism works. Got it. WAKE UP ALREADY.

Another example of a business that needs more employees, not fewer. Flight cancellations coming to an airport near you! This is what you get when a corporation is run by looters. They don't give a damn as long as they get paid. Hey! That's joe Biden's philosophy!

Agree with #5 on this one. This is all part of the Nationalization plan. The Dems are allowing of the firing of front line Health-Care workers, which in MA, are being supplanted with National Guard Medics. Soon, Government Health-Care will be back on the table. The mandates for all-electric cars will make your auto useless with no trade-in value, as cities ban gasoline fueled autos, and the Feds ban gasoline engines on the nation's Interstates. New taxes will crush small businesses. Citizens will be forced back into the cities, as travel will be highly restricted, and public transportation will be the only mode of travel available. It's looking pretty grim, as all of these illegal mandates go un-challenged.

Judge upholds Univ. of California vaccine

A federal judge upheld the University of California’s decision to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine instead of siding with a professor who said he had natural immunity and didn’t need the shots. It’s believed to be the first ruling of its kind as GOP lawmakers and others urge governments and employers to create exemptions for persons who recovered from COVID-19 and demonstrate antibody levels. U.S. District Judge James Selna in Santa Ana, California, said Thursday the university acted rationally in imposing a mandate designed to protect public health while failing to provide an exemption for those with natural immunity.

A Cornell University law professor who advocated ending banking 'as we know it' and praised the Soviet Union's financial system over its lack of a gender pay gap has been tapped by the White House to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Saule Omarova's nomination to head the regulatory agency overseeing the country's largest banks is a controversial choice that's alarmed banking groups. She's advocated for moving Americans' financial accounts from private banks to the Federal Reserve and force banks to lose leverage on federal subsidies by becoming 'non-depository lenders.' It would diminish the stature of the institutions she's supposed to regulate.
