For those who see the Hand of God in extraordinary natural phenomena, a lightning strike in Toledo, Ohio is being seen as divine retribution. Others call it karma. Witnesses reported that lightning struck a George Floyd memorial mural, not only burning the artistic expression, but collapsing the brick wall on which it was painted. (snip) plenty of people are laughing at the symbolism, while others piously bemoan their sentiments and/or denounce them, as racists.
There are plenty of people calling it an act of God or divine retribution for idolizing a career criminal and drug addict.
My favorites? "White lightning, I presume....."
Apparently, G-d is tired of your stuff too.

God was making the mural more realistic to show the results of "George Floyd ". Crumbled, destroyed cities because of criminals rioting , looting, and destroying their cities.

There is a story about St John (the guy who wrote the Gospel). He was at a public bath and suddenly ran outside.
Someone asked him why he exited so quickly. He remarked that a heretic had just entered the bulding and he (John) did not want to be struck by lightning.

Didn't insurance companies used to call natural damages like lightning "acts of God?" God just flicked His charged finger at that offensive image that made George an idol in place of Him.

What is so amazing here is that the strike was absolute pinpoint. All the mural wasn't destroyed. The other facial image is still there, but it struck George Floyd's image which had a crown on his head. wow.

And they say God has no sense of humor! Even the great novel "Name of the Rose" centers around the theme that it is a sin to believe that Jesus ever laughed because He had to be taken so seriously --- but this event is actually very funny.
Note that the mural is quite large and about 100 feet long, yet only the section showing Floyd's ugly mug was destroyed. This is what happens when society tries to take a criminal and make him a saint with no proof of his contrition.
It's good to see many of the other "monuments" around the country for Floyd --- who might have lived if he obeyed the cops and went quietly --- are being defaced, painted over and/or torn down.
