This week, it is being reported the White House is moving forward with removing a health care policy established by President Donald Trump designed to bring down the price of insulin and epi-pens. Biden’s bid to retract the rule was approved on Monday, as reported by Politico, with the expectation that the Department of Health and Human Services could publish the retraction within the coming days. The measure, signed off on under the previous administration in December, aimed to require some 340B community health centers to deliver savings to low-income patients for insulin and epinephrine in a bid to bring down unaffordable prices.
Concerns are growing in Washington over the possibility that China could try to invade Taiwan in the next few years. Top U.S. military officers have warned in recent months that Beijing might try to make the explosive move this decade, and recent saber rattling, including a Chinese military amphibious landing exercise near the island, is further raising the alarm.

A federal judge has halted Joe Biden's 'unconstitutional' $4 billion program to pay up to 120 percent of black, Hispanic, Asian or Native American farmers' debt, after 12 white farmers sued claiming it discriminated against them. Wisconsin Judge William Griesbach issued a temporary restraining order Thursday blocking the loan forgiveness program Biden put in place after saying he wanted to tackle longstanding inequalities for farmers of color.
Judge Griesbach said the plan failed to provide adequate examples of recent hardships imposed on farmers from minority backgrounds. He also claimed that in trying to end one type of discrimination, the program ended up creating another.

Former President Donald Trump delivered a strong message against China on Saturday, blaming the country for the coronavirus pandemic.
The former president spoke about China in a speech to North Carolina Republicans, demanding that China pay “reparations” to the world for the devastation caused by the pandemic.
“We should all declare with one unified voice that China must pay. They must pay,” Trump said as the crowd cheered and applauded.
He proposed that all nations should join the United States in demanding that China pay for the effect of the virus.
“All nations should work together to present China a bill for a minimum of $10 trillion to compensate for the damage,” he said.
The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) plans to appeal a judge’s reinstatement of a high school gym coach who refused to address trans students by their preferred pronouns.
The Virginia school district put gym teacher Byron “Tanner” Cross on leave after he cited his Christian faith in opposition to the proposed Policy 8040, which would require educators to address trans students by the pronouns they prefer.

A Michigan man who made headlines after he continued to collect food stamps despite winning the lottery has been found dead in a river. Police recovered the body of 69-year-old Leroy Fick from the Tittabawassee River on June 5. Plans for a more than $2 billion Southwest Washington methanol plant are “effectively ended,” according to a Friday statement from Port of Kalama officials, as Northwest Innovation Works — denied a permit by the state this year — will terminate its site lease.
The project, years in the planning, suffered a big setback in January when the state Department of Ecology rejected a request for a shoreline permit required to build the plant, which would have been one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest users of natural gas.
Northwest Innovation officials, in a statement Friday, said in the aftermath of that permit denial, Washington’s “regulatory environment has become unclear and unpredictable.”

President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin are currently not expected to hold a joint news conference after their June 16 meeting, CNN reported.
Biden and Putin’s much-anticipated meeting comes on the heels of the 2021 G-7 summit. The duo will speak for the first time since Biden took office in Geneva, Switzerland. Two U.S. officials familiar with the matter told CNN that plans currently don’t include a joint press conference.
This would mark a change from Biden’s predecessor, former President Donald Trump, who met with Putin on June 16, 2018, and held a joint press conference afterwards.

A top New York City law school announced Thursday that students will be required to take courses on systemic racism and critical race theory to graduate.In an email to students, Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law laid out major curriculum changes "designed to help our students examine and understand racism in the law and throughout the legal system." Chief among the changes is that students beginning with the incoming class of 2024 must complete at least one of four newly created classes on "race and the law" in order to graduate. The four classes are Race and the Law, Critical Race Theory, Indigenous Rights in the Americas, and Cross-Cultural Negotiation.

“I’m not finished,” Harris snapped, bobbed her head, and then chuckled before claiming she will visit the southern border. “I said I’m going to the border.”

A Black mother slammed critical race theory (CRT) on Thursday, telling the Florida Board of Education that it was teaching hate and ruining the "greatest country in the world."
"Just coming off of May 31, marking the 100 years [since] the Tulsa riots, it is sad that we are even contemplating something like critical race theory, where children will be separated by their skin color and deemed permanently oppressors or oppressed in 2021," said mom Quisha King.
King's comments came after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis asked the school board to pass a rule banning CRT and associated ideas in schools.
Amid increased scrutiny of Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullor's lavish spending, including her reported purchases of multiple homes totaling upward of $3 million and the installation of fencing and an electric gate around one of those homes, the original ten BLM chapters are demanding more accountability and transparency from the BLM global network.
The BLM infighting comes on the heels of Cullors announcing she would step down from her role as the BLM foundation executive director as questions surrounding her finances swirled. Cullors, however, denied that her decision to resign had anything to do with that controversy, insisting she had planned to step away for more than a year.
