Is Climate Change 'Science'?

Original Article

Posted By: JonMoseley, 6/12/2021 7:27:52 AM

“Trust science, not the scientists.” That is the essence of science. What matters most is what we do not know. The surprise factor between what we expected and what actually happens in real-world experiments is where discovery lives. Thought experiments are not science. (Imagining things can lead to proposed hypotheses, which must still be tested.) Many argue desperately for speculation as being science, when science was designed to avoid speculation. So we have to run actual empirical experiments. To determine whether carbon dioxide (CO2) causes the Earth to be warmer would require experiments “with all other things being equal.”

Comments:

Activists have abandoned science and the Scientific Method in order to cling to desired narratives. But they have had to sacrifice science to get there. They have sacrificed science on the altar of their personal preferences and opinions.

They've been running this hoax for a hundred years. Look in some old newspaper archives. You'll see. Somewhere along the way they realized it was not just fear porn to sell newspapers, but a giant money-making tactic.

The so called climate change "science" morphed from global warming "science" that was the greatest hoax ever perpetrated up until the 2020 elections. Science evolves through testing of hypotheses, or theories. Testing is the key word here. Surviving theories are those that pass all the tests. When a theory has passed all conceivable testing it becomes a law. Here's a good quiz question: What was the most recently discovered scientific law? Not climate change for sure. Time after time the predictions of behavior have just not happened.

Paul Ehrlich wrote "The Population Bomb" in the late 1960s and we were supposed to have calamity due to overpopulation beginning in the 70s. Decades later, Al Gore, in his movie, "An Inconvenient Truth," also predicted gloom and doom which never happened. We were supposed to have run out of fossil fuels by now. They were both wrong about everything. But these people are never held accountable and both became rich and famous peddling fear, esteemed by Marxists everywhere. "Climate change" which used to be "global warming," (until there was too much cooling) is a Chicken Little fairy-tale intended to covertly take away our freedom and line the pockets of the deep state.

Money, control, money, power, money, money, money. You thought covid lockdowns were bad. Wait until they tell you to give up your car and plan to put a bus stop on every corner. No fireplace, no BBQ, no firepits. Don't worry. Some nut job will suggest that.

TV ads sometimes show an actor wearing a lab coat to read the ad copy. The Gullibles believe the ad copy because a “scientist” “said” it. Just as barry soeto was a good teleprompter reader and had “the touch” with The Gullibles. It is sad that so many Americans are so gullible.

No, it isn't. Global warming is based on extrapolation. Basing conclusions on extrapolation is one of the cardinal sins of empiricism, second only to confusing correlation with causation. One can extrapolate as an hypothesis, but one can never draw conclusions based solely on extrapolation without validation.

Science is about falsification. One observation contrary to a theory is sufficient to falsify a theory. Rising CO2 levels without rising temperature is sufficient to falsify the theory that CO2 drives temperature. It may play a role but not a driving one.

When the climate changes it is God that changes it. Many arrogant and evil bureaucracies think of themselves more highly than they ought. This is an inherently sinful and nefarious attempt to bilk the masses of obscene amounts of money, which will then be used to oppress the deceived masses for personal advantage.

We must mourn the death of leadership in America. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy cautiously but brilliantly managed the United States — nay, the world — through the Cuban Missile Crisis on the brink of a nuclear World War III. Watching Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine, I felt compelled to watch again the movie Thirteen Days bringing these moments to life. Every American should re-watch. If your writer may offer my over-simplified distillation, it is this: JFK and his brain trust rejected the choice between Option A, surrender to a missile platform in Cuba and Option B, provoking a nuclear war.

A newly-revealed video records the Proud Boys’ activities on January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol, and appears to show leaders meandering aimlessly, showing the lack of any clear plan. Zachary Rehl’s legal filing in court Wednesday claims that the video proves that Jan. 6 protesters had no plan to attack the U.S. Capitol and no advance plan to enter the Capitol building. They are being accused of a conspiracy, but the video reportedly shows a different story.

Did leftists learn nothing from the adventures of Wile E. Coyote forever trying to catch the Roadrunner but always failing? New York prosecutors under District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. have convened a grand jury to investigate The Trump Organization (“TTO”) owned by former President Trump and his family. There is nothing to stop an indictment of Trump, other than remembering what happened to the Duke Lacrosse player prosecutor. But the deep state’s attempt to arrest and indict Trump will fail. It is starting to look as if the endless adrenaline high is the real point.

The year 2022 is shaping up to be a good year for the electoral prospects of the loyal opposition. Two years after losing the presidency — and then watching helplessly as Donald Trump’s petulance poisoned the Republican effort to win in Georgia and keep control of the Senate — the GOP is suddenly poised for a comeback in Congress. Inflation and rising gas prices, frustration with liberal political leaders who clung to COVID-19 restrictions well past their expiration date, and concerns about how the administration is handling the twin threats of Russia and China (to say nothing
Desperate House Dems Beg Biden to Come
Up With 'Bumper Sticker Slogan' for Midterms

Democrats have got nothing to run on for re-election. And that’s eating at the politicians who’ve been casting about for a catchy slogan that would fit on a bumper sticker and sweep the country. Originally, the Biden people thought that “Build Back Better” would carry them to victory. But it’s become apparent that BBB is the punchline to a joke and wouldn’t be useful. Some Democrats hit upon the brilliant slogan “Democrats Deliver!” but the White House polled the tagline and found it came in near the bottom of other suggestions. Given what Democrats have “accomplished” so far, Republicans could easily make a mockery of that slogan. “Deliver what?” they might counter.

Former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr said he did not believe Donald Trump would win a 2022 presidential election bid because he's petty and divisive, and that his former boss is not his pick for commander-in-chief. Barr, 71, criticized the former president during an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper on Friday, admitting that he knew Trump was going to lose in 2020 because of his temper. 'He's not my idea of a president,' Barr said. 'I felt he was going to lose the election because he was not controlling himself.

An attack on the U.S. would bring out the patriotism of many Americans, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Tuesday, but a surprising number of our fellow citizens would also cut and run. Here's the Washington Times story about it: An attack on the U.S. homeland would bring out the fight in most Americans. according to a new poll, but a surprisingly large percentage say they'd flee. A Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday asked Americans what they would do "if they were in the same position as Ukrainians are now: stay and fight or leave the country?"

An essay in the liberal publication that Fox News host Tucker Carlson previously described as a shameless corporate mouthpiece and a place for the ruling class to talk to itself warns that a nuclear war prompted by the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine could be really bad for the environment. To his credit, the author points out that a so-called no-fly zone over Ukraine (which many neocons and neolibs seem to be advocating) could be ruinous in that it could lead to a exchange of nuclear warheads
