I’m old school, and I’ve followed the NHL since the early 60s. I adamantly assert he was the greatest player ever. He reinvented the game through defensemen also playing offense. And I hated him and the Bruins because they tormented my Black Hawks. Ironically he finished his career in Chicago. Love the guy now because of the endorsement of PDJT.

Lots of endorsements by well known figures coming through now. I wonder if this is a predictor of how others are thinking, or even may be swaying some voters who are on the fence.

The Union Leader, Manchester NH, ran a 1/2 page ad by Orr several days ago, and again today. Today there is a full page ad by Biden supporter Paul D Scott that starts "An Open Letter to Bobby Orr." He then goes on to state that he coaches hockey and wants teammates that don't have the character faults he attributes to President Trump. He goes on to say that he thinks Biden is "a decent and honest man, with common sense political and economic policies," Gag me with a spoon!

One of the most likeable human beings of all time. Show me one person who doesn't like and respect Bobby Orr, except the for likes of Hillary, Kamala, and Obama, who are just plain nasty and evil people.

Trump is the team I prefer. I like being on the winning team. I don't want to have dinner at Biden's or Pelosi's house. Can you imagine lunch with Schumer? Sickening.

During the 1970’s we lived in the Boston area for five years and luckily had half of two season tickets for the Bruins games at the old Boston Garden, as I remember the ticket cost was $11.00 a seat. That was during the Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito era when Don Cherry was the Bruins head coach. They were the greatest. I guess you can today call that time an era of “Old Time Hockey”. If you ever saw the movie ”Slap Shot” you should remember “Old Time Hockey”.

The US economy contracted for a second consecutive quarter, intensifying concerns that elevated inflation and waning demand could drag the country into a new recession. The economy's gross domestic product shrank at an annualized rate of 0.9% through the three-month period that ended in June, the Commerce Department announced Thursday in a preliminary estimate. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected growth to hit a 0.5% pace. The print reveals the economy continued to shrink after the 1.6% contraction observed in the first quarter.

Sen. Susan Collins said Tuesday she would vote to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, the only Republican senator to do so so far. Collins, in an interview with The New York Times Tuesday, said that after a second, 90-minute interview with Jackson, she was assured that Jackson met her standards for serving on the nation’s highest court. If all Democrats also vote yes, Jackson would become the first Black woman on the court, fulfilling a promise made by Pres. Biden to nominate a Black woman to the court.

George Orwell's iconic novel 1984, written in 1949 about the horrors of censorship and the threat of authoritarianism, is being censored by a university. The University of Northampton in Orwell's own England has issued a trigger warning on the book, with staff claiming that the book contains "explicit material" and that some student may find the work to be "offensive and unsettling." The Daily Mail uncovered this via a Freedom of Information request, and 1984 is one of several books that have been slapped with a trigger warning for students at the university who are studying what's called Identity Under Construction.

After hearing the criticism and acknowledging that the image they approved didn’t quite match the final results, officials agreed to reconsider their February decision to paint the Laguna Beach Police Department’s fleet of 11 squad cars.

Fighter jets shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic today after Joe Biden vowed to 'take care of it' and the FAA shutdown three airports in the Carolinas. The balloon was seen bursting at 2.38pm and its payload - the metal structure carrying its cameras - appeared to have been separated as it plummeted towards the ocean off Myrtle Beach. The Biden administration confirmed the shoot-down order around 2pm after the President this morning vowed, 'We're gonna take care of it,' as he stepped off Air Force One at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, upstate NY.

She said: To an audience as inclusive as our Virginia is, you cannot reference the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as ‘remarkable documents’ without also acknowledging that they [are] fundamental in enshrining slavery, and limiting the protections that they provided only to white property-owning men.

Community activists in Houston are calling for a restaurant patron who shot and killed a robbery suspect during a holdup to be arrested, saying he went beyond self-defense despite many calling him a hero. Customers were eating inside a local taqueria when 30-year-old Eric Eugene Washington entered and pointed a pistol at them and demanded cash. As he gathered the cash, an armed patron can be seen on surveillance video getting up from the booth he was sitting in and shooting his pistol at Washington multiple times. "He was within the law when he fired the first initial shots," said activist Quanell X in a

Three years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing masks in public. I try not to judge people when I see someone wearing a mask; after all, the person may have a legitimate need to wear a mask. But what I’ve noticed is that there seem to be a lot of healthy younger people — teenagers and people in their early 20s — who wear masks often, and I have a difficult time understanding it. I’ve had a theory about this phenomenon for some time. I think some people like to keep masking because it makes them feel anonymous. I’m convinced that some people

The U.S. was able to collect valuable information on China’s surveillance capabilities while observing the spy balloon as it traversed the continental U.S. for several days, a senior military official and senior defense official claimed Saturday. President Joe Biden asked for possible military options for removing the threat of the suspected Chinese spy balloon Tuesday, but the Department of Defense (DOD) opted against doing so Wednesday over concerns falling debris could endanger civilians, officials said at a briefing Saturday. However, they did not clarify whether a military option was considered when the craft transgressed U.S. airspace over Alaska’s Aleutian Islands on Jan. 28,

A white, female Willamette University professor is scheduled to host a veritable struggle session this month at a local library “for white people to reflect together on what it means to ‘do our work’ as white people.” The professor, Emily Drew, predictably “teaches courses about racism, white supremacy, immigration, and social change,” according to a biography. “Her research agenda revolves around understanding how race and racism get institutionalized, with the goal of helping to illuminate more effective strategies for interrupting systemic inequality,” the biography reads. She also performs work for Crossroads, an “antiracism” consulting form whose mission centers on “dismantling racism” and “building racial justice in institutions.”
