Brett Favre Compares Colin Kaepernick to

Brett Favre says that Colin Kaepernick’s decision to forego his NFL career in order to continue his anthem protests and social justice movement, is a sacrifice in league with former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman. Further, Favre believes that eventually Kaepernick, like Tillman, will be thought of as a “hero.” In a recent interview with TMZ, the former Packer legend went in-depth on his reasoning for believing that Kaepernick deserves heroic status for his protests and movement. “It’s not easy for a guy his age — black or white, Hispanic, whatever — to stop something that you’ve always dreamed of doing, and put it on hold,

Absolutely moronic!! Pat Tillman gave up his career to serve his country. Kraperdork gave up his to serve himself and his ego!! Farve is comparing apples to elephants here!!

I always found Favre a dolt on the field, incessantly and desperately throwing into triple coverage for an INT late in games, instead of trying to move the ball down the field safely for the win. Now I know he's a dolt off the field as well.

This reminds me of a story a sports radio personality told about Favre. The radio personality idolized Favre and did not realize how badly the story actually reflected on him. The story was that one of Favre's backup once asked Favre why he had thrown a particular pass into a situation where an interception was a real possibility, and rather than explain why he thought the defender would not get to the ball, Favre replied, "Because I can." Which explains why he got intercepted so often. and is the sort of thinking that leads him to make this moronic statement.

One can 'admire' Kaepernick for taking a stand for what he believed but it doesn't necessarily make him heroic. I don't happen to agree with him or the time and place he chose. His decision cost him dearly and it has cost the NFL billions in revenue. When players realize their paychecks will shrink in the next contract season, I can guarantee a strike is coming but it will have been Kaepernick who shot and killed the golden goose for EVERYONE.

It's not like Favre is still playing and worried about retribution from the majority black NFL players. Like actors, many sports stars know just how to do their particular "trick" which gained them fame, and it is common to discover that they are not particularly intelligent or well educated, or well read, outside of their particular milieu. And often, they are really dolts, and quite ignorant. It looks like Mr. Favre is showing his lack of much knowledge. He would have been far better off to have kept his thoughts to himself.

I have long wondered why we held these game players on such a vaunted pedestal. Their “game” mimics heroics on a well manicured playing field, AND they are well compensated for their game playing. Colin himself has been very well compensated and pampered. Pat Tillman? He gave it all up and went to the real world most dangerous and physically demanding “calling” (not job). He did not go to a REMF job. He went to the tip of the spear. He did all that on enlisted pay. Farve is so low on the scale of life as a game player, that his pathetic comment only adds to how ridiculous he looks mincing around on a manicured lawn tossing a ball.

It is hard to have a rational discussion when a person rejects the notion of looking at facts. Those who rely solely on feelings insist on denying facts, data, and science. They trust intuition and feelings, not reality. That’s why the saying, “My facts don’t care about your feeling,” has gained traction. Attorney General William Barr committed the ultimate heresy in the eyes of Leftists when he cited data. He recently noted that there has been a consistent reduction in the number of deaths of Blacks by police. Five years ago, the total number was 38, last year, 10.

The left's war on America's past crossed several new frontiers last week. Portland's statue of George Washington, the Father of his Country and the first president of the United States, the greatest man of his age, was toppled and desecrated. While the statue stood, an American flag was draped over its head and set ablaze. After it was pulled down, a new fire was set on another American flag spread across the statue, and also burned. The vacated pedestal was painted with the words, "You're on Native Land."

That is undoubtedly true, and accordingly, that disappointing turnout is not a true indication of the support the president has. Joe Biden’s campaign is refusing President Donald Trump’s request to take part in more than three debates ahead of the general election in November. Jen O’Malley Dillon, the former vice president’s campaign manager, made the announcement on Monday in a letter to the Commission on Presidential Debates, as first reported by the Washington Post. In the letter, O’Malley Dillon informed the commission that Biden would only take part, as is custom, in three presidential debates. “Joe Biden looks forward to facing Donald Trump in a multi-debate series that the American people have come to expect from their leaders;

Lincoln County, Oregon, has exempted non-white people from a new order requiring that face coverings be worn in public—to prevent racial profiling. Health officials announced last week residents must wear face coverings in public settings where they may come within six feet of another individual who is not from the same household. Gina Raimondo signed an executive order Monday taking the “first steps” to change the state’s full name: “The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.” The “plantations” portion has come under increased scrutiny following widespread protests after the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. The order, Executive Order 20-48, will change the name to just “Rhode Island” in official communications from the governor’s office—including future executive orders,

One news outlet put it this way: “The U.S. reported more than 33,000 new coronavirus cases on Saturday – the highest total since May 1 – while the surge of infections in several states is outpacing growth in coronavirus testing.” White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow tried to tamp down the panic
