Brett Favre Compares Colin Kaepernick to
Pat Tillman: ‘I Assume Hero Status Will Be

Brett Favre says that Colin Kaepernick’s decision to forego his NFL career in order to continue his anthem protests and social justice movement, is a sacrifice in league with former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman. Further, Favre believes that eventually Kaepernick, like Tillman, will be thought of as a “hero.” In a recent interview with TMZ, the former Packer legend went in-depth on his reasoning for believing that Kaepernick deserves heroic status for his protests and movement. “It’s not easy for a guy his age — black or white, Hispanic, whatever — to stop something that you’ve always dreamed of doing, and put it on hold,

Comments:

I always found Favre a dolt on the field, incessantly and desperately throwing into triple coverage for an INT late in games, instead of trying to move the ball down the field safely for the win. Now I know he's a dolt off the field as well.

This reminds me of a story a sports radio personality told about Favre. The radio personality idolized Favre and did not realize how badly the story actually reflected on him. The story was that one of Favre's backup once asked Favre why he had thrown a particular pass into a situation where an interception was a real possibility, and rather than explain why he thought the defender would not get to the ball, Favre replied, "Because I can." Which explains why he got intercepted so often. and is the sort of thinking that leads him to make this moronic statement.

One can 'admire' Kaepernick for taking a stand for what he believed but it doesn't necessarily make him heroic. I don't happen to agree with him or the time and place he chose. His decision cost him dearly and it has cost the NFL billions in revenue. When players realize their paychecks will shrink in the next contract season, I can guarantee a strike is coming but it will have been Kaepernick who shot and killed the golden goose for EVERYONE.

It's not like Favre is still playing and worried about retribution from the majority black NFL players. He's too stupid to coach, too dull to be a tv commentator, maybe angling for more ad revenue from the funky products I see him pushing. Well that's out the window, no? Like actors, many sports stars know just how to do their particular "trick" which gained them fame, and it is common to discover that they are not particularly intelligent or well educated, or well read, outside of their particular milieu. And often, they are really dolts, and quite ignorant. It looks like Mr. Favre is showing his lack of much knowledge. He would have been far better off to have kept his thoughts to himself.

I have long wondered why we held these game players on such a vaunted pedestal. Their “game” mimics heroics on a well manicured playing field, AND they are well compensated for their game playing. Colin himself has been very well compensated and pampered. Pat Tillman? He gave it all up and went to the real world most dangerous and physically demanding “calling” (not job). He did not go to a REMF job. He went to the tip of the spear. He did all that on enlisted pay. Farve is so low on the scale of life as a game player, that his pathetic comment only adds to how ridiculous he looks mincing around on a manicured lawn tossing a ball.

At 75 years old, longtime New York Rep. Jerry Nadler, a Democrat, is far from being the oldest member of Congress, but he’s certainly well past his prime. A Democratic staffer told the New York Post that Nadler, who serves as chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee, has earned a nickname from his peers: “Rock-A-Bye Baby.” It is apparently a well-kept secret that the abrasive congressman falls asleep during meetings – frequently. Citing a Zoom meeting of House Democratic committee chairs earlier in the year, the aide, who participated in the planning session, said Nadler fell asleep. No one woke him up; the discussion simply continued without him.

That Queen Elizabeth II passed away this week was a surprise only in the sense of the day it happened. Nothing against the Queen, who always seemed like a nice, lovely person, but she was 96. When someone is 96 years old the days are numbered. One day we might cheat death, or find ways to postpone it much longer than nature dictates currently, but that day isn’t today. So, sad as it is for family and friends of anyone who passes away at any age, surprise isn’t a word that leaps to mind to describe it.

It may be time to pass on gas. The more than 40 million households in the US who use a gas stove might want to consider an alternative. New findings have shown that gas stoves — even when turned off — may cause asthma in children and put adults at risk of cancer. Dr. Jonathan Levy, an environmental health professor at Boston University, claimed the stoves may pollute the air with nitrogen dioxide, which can cause lung damage. The pollutant, a “byproduct of fuel combustion,” is also the same that is produced on major highways, but since the kitchen is an enclosed space, it puts inhabitants at more risk.

Hunter Biden is trying to get his child support payments for his 4-year-old love child lowered by claiming a substantial change to his “financial circumstances,” according to court documents. President Biden’s son, 52, has asked an Arkansas judge to recalculate the child support payments he makes to Lunden Roberts, 31 — the mother of the daughter he’s never met, according to a Monday court filing obtained by the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Hunter cited “a substantial material change” in his “financial circumstances, including but not limited to his income” for the reason behind his request.

The current anti-Trump and anti-MAGA witch-hunt is not about 2024. The Democrat DoJ is safe for two more years. It is about January 6, 2021. The target is not so much Trump as the idea that electoral votes could be legally contested on the joint session of Congress. Obviously, the DoJ violates core freedom of speech. It also ignores the clear letter and spirit of the law regarding the joint session for Presidential elections. 3 U.S. Code § 15 - Counting electoral votes in Congress clearly provides for raising and debating objections against “all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates of

In its latest story on Wednesday, the Times reported that the British taxpayers would front the bill of the funeral costs, which will reportedly cost more than $6 million. The story labeled it a 'hefty price tag' amid rampant inflation in Britain, but readers were unamused by the article as they slammed the tone of the reporting regarding the late monarch of 70 years.

(Snip) Brian and I ultimately lived in the South Bronx for only four months — until March 11 2020, when we looked at one another and realized we had to get into his SUV and keep driving North. As I described in my book The Bodies of Others, when then-Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that Broadway was closing — just like that, a CCP-style state fiat, not an American-style individuals-dealing-with-an-emergency announcement — we both realized that bad things were coming,

Republican lawmakers, led by Reps. Mike Johnson (LA), Chip Roy (TX), and Thomas Massie (KY), are demanding answers about the effect of the vaccine mandate on military readiness in a letter to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin first obtained by Breitbart News. “The Biden Administration’s military vaccine mandate is clearly harming military readiness by creating unnecessary recruiting and retention shortfalls,” Johnson said in a statement. “And now, after the Pentagon has tried, and failed, to make up the difference by reducing recruitment standards, over 100,000 active servicemembers—who taxpayers paid to train—face discharge during the worst recruiting year in our military’s history,” he said. They expressed particular concern
