Brett Favre says that Colin Kaepernick’s decision to forego his NFL career in order to continue his anthem protests and social justice movement, is a sacrifice in league with former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman.
Further, Favre believes that eventually Kaepernick, like Tillman, will be thought of as a “hero.”
In a recent interview with TMZ, the former Packer legend went in-depth on his reasoning for believing that Kaepernick deserves heroic status for his protests and movement.
“It’s not easy for a guy his age — black or white, Hispanic, whatever — to stop something that you’ve always dreamed of doing, and put it on hold,
If I expressed my true sentiment over this moronic statement I would be banned from Lucianne for life.
What a freekin', self centered twit!!

I always found Favre a dolt on the field, incessantly and desperately throwing into triple coverage for an INT late in games, instead of trying to move the ball down the field safely for the win. Now I know he's a dolt off the field as well.

This reminds me of a story a sports radio personality told about Favre. The radio personality idolized Favre and did not realize how badly the story actually reflected on him.
The story was that one of Favre's backup once asked Favre why he had thrown a particular pass into a situation where an interception was a real possibility, and rather than explain why he thought the defender would not get to the ball, Favre replied, "Because I can." Which explains why he got intercepted so often. and is the sort of thinking that leads him to make this moronic statement.

I'm not a football fan, but even I know there is no comparison. Bet Colon did this because it is a way out for him because he can't play ball any more. He's too old.

Better to keep you mouth up and let people think you are normal, rather than open your yap and prove that you are an idiot.
Kaepernick is more like Benedict Arnold, IMO.

I guess that he's searching for relevance now that his hawking of copper infused athletic socks has tanked. Despite his confident, "Still got it" in the commercial, it's clear that he doesn't and the hits to his noggin has had the same affects that they have for Bradshaw.

One can 'admire' Kaepernick for taking a stand for what he believed but it doesn't necessarily make him heroic. I don't happen to agree with him or the time and place he chose. His decision cost him dearly and it has cost the NFL billions in revenue. When players realize their paychecks will shrink in the next contract season, I can guarantee a strike is coming but it will have been Kaepernick who shot and killed the golden goose for EVERYONE.

Oh my God! What's wrong with Farve? Colon vs Tillman? Farve is losing his mind. No comparison. Sheesh! Oh guess I better quit this 'cause I'd be kicked off (so to speak) and Lucianne would expel me. Mutter. Mutter. Snarl. Farve, you need a pshcho exam.

Brett Farve is now entered into the Hall of Fame of stupid. Pat Tillman quit the NFL to join the army to fight against terrorists and died doing so. Kapers-it made millions for playing a game, and put socks on with police pigs on them, and then cried racism at every turn. Brett you stupid idiot. Please explain to me how you could ever compare these two and still call Kapers-it a hero?

You assume wrong you faded old has been. You could not even fill the shoes of a great man like Tillman was. He gave his life to save his comrades and what do you and the Kneeler do? Other than being a pervert, what are you doing for this nation? Go back to retirement and keep texting those naughty parts to the girls you cretin.

It's not like Favre is still playing and worried about retribution from the majority black NFL players.
He's too stupid to coach, too dull to be a tv commentator, maybe angling for more ad revenue from the funky products I see him pushing. Well that's out the window, no? I'd say Brett Favre has comprehensively pooped the bed.

Like actors, many sports stars know just how to do their particular "trick" which gained them fame, and it is common to discover that they are not particularly intelligent or well educated, or well read, outside of their particular milieu. And often, they are really dolts, and quite ignorant.
It looks like Mr. Favre is showing his lack of much knowledge. He would have been far better off to have kept his thoughts to himself.

I have long wondered why we held these game players on such a vaunted pedestal. Their “game” mimics heroics on a well manicured playing field, AND they are well compensated for their game playing. Colin himself has been very well compensated and pampered.
Pat Tillman? He gave it all up and went to the real world most dangerous and physically demanding “calling” (not job). He did not go to a REMF job. He went to the tip of the spear. He did all that on enlisted pay.
Farve is so low on the scale of life as a game player, that his pathetic comment only adds to how ridiculous he looks mincing around on a manicured lawn tossing a ball.

Brett is a great example of "too many hits to the head" syndrome. He was never a great student in college and he was an idiot when he was exposed as a stalker / sexual harrasser in NY when he went after "Jen".
His offerings have the value of what people pick up on the sidewalks from their dogs.

How many hits to the head did Favre take? Kaepernick didn't put anything on hold. He didn't forego anything. He got cut because he sucks and he's been begging to get back in ever since. Pat Tillman is an American hero. Colin Kaepernick is an American hater.
