President Donald Trump, a lifelong New Yorker, has switched his primary residence from Manhattan to Palm Beach, Florida, according to the New York Times.
Documents filed with the Palm Beach County Circuit Court show the president and first lady Melania Trump submitted a “declaration of domicile” stating their permanent residence is the Mar-a-Lago Club.
“If I maintain another place or places of abode in some other state or states, I hereby declare that my above-described residence and abode in the State of Florida constitutes my predominant and principal home, and I intend to continue it permanently as such,” the president’s document reportedly reads. “I formerly resided at 721 Fifth Avenue,”
The unemployment rate for African Americans fell to 5.4 percent in October, the lowest level on record.
This is the third consecutive month of record-low unemployment. September’s 5.5 percent matched the record set in August.
The unemployment rate for black men hit a record low of 5.1 percent, down three-tenths from the month prior. That was lower than the previous record low of 5.2 set in December 1973.
The unemployment rate for black women was 4.8 percent, up two-tenths from September.
Job creation was much stronger than expected in October.
The U.S. economy added 128,000 jobs for the month and the unemployment rate rose to 3.6 percent, higher than the month before but still near a 50-year low.
Economists had expected the economy to add 75,000 jobs, with forecasts ranging between 55,000 and 155,000, according to Econoday. That unusually wide range was caused, in part, by differing views of how the General Motors strike would hit employment at suppliers and related businesses.
Unemployment was expected to tick up to 3.6 percent.
Prior months were revised upward, indicating that the labor market has been much stronger than initial reports suggested.
Four people are dead and several more were injured Thursday night after a shooting erupted at what appeared to be a Halloween party in northern California, police said. The House voted today to go forward with impeachment proceedings against President Trump. This is, I guess, a news story, although it couldn’t possibly have been news to anyone. The Democrats have been talking about impeaching Trump since before he was inaugurated, and it was a foregone conclusion, when they took over the House last November, that he would be impeached. The brief pause in providing arms to Ukraine (which the Obama administration never did) and Trump’s entirely proper telephone conversation with President Zelensky are absurdly weak pretexts for the Democrats’ impeachment effort, and I doubt whether anyone takes them seriously.
Another day, another giant step on the road to ruin. Either Nancy Pelosi has lost her mind or she really wants to dig America’s grave.
The vote to formalize the impeachment jihad is a great day for Trump haters and a tragedy for democracy and common sense. Coming a year before an election and without a compelling claim that the president committed anything remotely resembling “high crimes and misdemeanors,” the action is an abuse of power for purely partisan purposes.

The Justice Department filed suit Wednesday alleging Walmart denied a Navy Reserve officer a job due to upcoming reserve duties.
In May 2016, Hunger said she applied for a summer job at Walmart while in the Naval Reserve. After applying online, she received a call from a Walmart in Grand Junction, Colo. At the end of the call, Hunger mentioned she had to attend a mandatory two-week annual training for reserve duty during the summer. The personnel coordinator from Walmart told Hunger Walmart could not support that kind of time off, and ended the call. She never heard from the superstore again.

A new bike was gifted to Charly Spor, 17, on Thursday after Brian Himes, the owner of Italian Style Pizza & Pasta in Folcroft, Pa., and members of the community raised more than $200 in five days.
Spor, an aspiring chef, stepped up to become the man of the family for his mom and three siblings after he lost his dad in January, Fox 29 reported.
Himes told Fox News on Thursday that Spor is one of his favorite customers.
The Trump re-election campaign launched an ad blistering the Democrats during Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday night.
The ad touted the president’s successes including “obliterating ISIS,” and “cutting illegal immigration in half.
“But the Democrats would rather focus on impeachment and phony investigations, ignoring the real issues,” the ad notes.

Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) took aim at the president ahead of the impeachment inquiry resolution vote in the House on Thursday, defending their party’s decision to pursue an inquiry and telling the president to “read the Constitution.”

A so-called “whistleblower” sparked the initial inquiry, and the White House released a transcript of the conversation in response to the mounting concerns. The transcript did not show “pressure” or quid pro quo, as many Democrat lawmakers have suggested.
Support for President Trump has increased amid the Democrats’ pursuit of impeachment, Republican National Committee (RNC) polling shows.
The House is soon to vote on an impeachment resolution, which Republicans say does little to nothing to address their mounting concerns. Under the resolution put forth by Democrats, Republicans would not be able to call the “whistleblower” to testify. It also includes a “loophole” that gives Democrats unprecedented power throughout the process.

The celebrated Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has threatened to quit Facebook if the social media platform refuses to silence her critics.
“I am, like many others, questioning whether I should keep using Facebook or not,” Thunberg wrote in a Facebook post last week. “Allowing hate speech, the lack of fact-checking and, of course, the issues of interfering with democracy… are among many, many other things that are very upsetting.”
“The constant lies and conspiracy theories about me and countless others, of course, result in hate, death threats and ultimately violence. This could easily be stopped if Facebook wanted to. I find the lack of taking responsibility very disturbing,” she added.
