California Is Becoming Unlivable

Original Article

Right now, wildfires are scorching tens of thousands of acres in California, choking the air with smoke, spurring widespread prophylactic blackouts, and forcing the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people. Right now, roughly 130,000 Californians are homeless, and millions more are shelling out far more in rent than they can afford, commuting into expensive cities from faraway suburbs and towns, or doubling up in houses and apartments. Wildfires and lack of affordable housing—these are two of the most visible and urgent crises facing California, raising the question of whether the country’s dreamiest, most optimistic state is fast becoming unlivable. Climate change is turning

If you want to live in a State like California, vote for democrats. I guarantee then can turn the Garden of Eden into a hellhole within a few years. It is sad thing to watch but expected. These high minded politically correct goofballs will walk over feces, syringes, and homeless camps to get to work but they will not demand that policies be put into place to deal with the disgusting chaos. Any reasonable person understand that fallen timber and underbrush must be cleaned out or they will serve as a tinderbox just waiting to be ignited. The environmentalists demand that the areas remain in their natural state, and therefore, that means nature is going to happen. Fire will be ignited and spread very quickly when it could have been stopped if the underbrush had been removed. It is insane what these do gooders have wrought there. Until they have politicians who are willing to make good decisions based in reality, nothing changes. Fires will rage, power will go out, and people will suffer. Clearly, Californians have a high tolerance for pain. What I do not agree with is throwing federal tax dollars at problems they refuse to address.

They have to rid the world of the likes of Trump and Kavanaugh doncha know! It is time for these Communists to go back home and live in the mess they have created.

The compact of states which is our Constitutional Republic is intended to allow individual states the authority to 'experiment' within their borders. We ALL lose when cross-country refugees leave a failure like California but idiotically bring their voting beliefs elsewhere thinking it would have worked if not for....Republicans, the Supreme Court, flyover states, etc.

The problems in California are not caused by climate change but unbridled growth, stupid forest management and over regulation of public utilities.. In addition, water management is a disaster. Water is being diverted to cities so over paid celebrities can fill enormous swimming pools they never use at the expense of irrigation of the land. So I guess it is "Burn, Baby Burn" for those folks who voted for the policies that are destroying a once beautiful place.

The direct cause of the wildfires is poor forest management - the liberals won't cut down trees or clear brush. Interestingly, the wildfires create C02 levels that are equal to the entire C02 output for the state of California for a year. And liberals preen that they are so smart and we deplorables so dumb.

Rush started talking about how environmental whacko brush management policies could only lead to more wildfires over two decades ago. And here we are. Forest managers used to do controlled burns to prevent such widespread fires, but they haven't done those for a long time. Now they are reaping the "benefit" of letting emotions rule their actions. It's very sad.

When the California Democrats and a lot of their low information and special interest voters decided that it was to their long term political interest to import both the good and bad from Mexico and other developing and underdeveloped countries in unlimited numbers who are mostly poor and unskilled people to generate millions of new foreign born and socialist oriented voters in the years ahead, they got what they wanted, permanent socialism throughout California, that supported by the Democrats and those surging numbers of poor people, many of them homeless, will not be reversed. When the California Democrats and their “tree hugging” allies decided that the overgrown forests, even brush areas in and near built up residential areas should not be managed in ways that would keep the fire danger down, they got what common sense dictated would happen, a lot of big and dangerous fires in those forest and brush areas anytime the sure to come yearly high winds started blowing across those very dry areas of California.

Somehow Climate Change always gets woven into the mix because that's what they are taught by their journalism professors to say. My question is how is the 2 to 4 degrees Farenheit temperature increase that they are predicting via their doctored computer models and will take a century to occur create the 451 degrees that it takes to start a fire? The little girl knows that propane burns faster than scrub brush, good for her, but the person who started the fire probably didn't know that, he just needed to burn some trash or grill some hot dogs and didn't realize that the 50 mph winds would be a problem. The old adage that if you repeat a lie often enough it will be accepted as truth does not seem to hold true for Climate Change. It only makes the liar look more ridiculous each time it is repeated. Fires burn uncontrollably in the wind and the Santa Ana winds have been around since - Santa Ana. Yes, California is in deep doo-doo and it is entirely a man-made problem but the underlying cause is stupid democrat politics, not the weather. Once everything falls apart and they are all living in tents and caves as per Atlas Shrugged, they will finally get their wish - no more carbon emissions.

No governor yet claims jurisdiction over the International Space Station but the astronauts have a lot of explaining to do when they return to earth. It’s not as though they lacked for space. Governors ordering around people 250 miles above their states seems far-fetched. But so, too, did the notion of governors usurping the role of legislatures. Eight months after the initial coronavirus lockdowns, citizens docilely accept the idea of a single person dictating the laws that govern millions of people.

The practice of democracy in our constitutional republic flourishes in the presence of contradictions. Democracy, itself, is bound by our inalienable rights, bestowed to us by our Creator. These rights, not given to us by our government by any majority or by any vote, cannot be rescinded, for they were not wrought by man. Voting is a contradiction for it is both public and private at the same time. Its process is intended to be secret, but transparent. Its agency is intensely partisan, but its effect is intended to be unifying. The legitimacy of voting must survive despite the contradictions intrinsic to the process.

The general’s case, though, has become a bonfire of the vanities of one district judge who has denied the presumption of regularity to an official act of the United States government — meaning Attorney General William Barr’s attempt to drop the case. So why would Judge Sullivan credit President Trump’s workaround of a pardon? We understand, the pardon could be the least fettered of all the powers that the Constitution grants to the president.

Many conservatives have moved their social-media accounts to the more freewheeling Parler, and often have slammed the supposedly monopolistic Facebook and Twitter as they’ve decamped from those sites. I have chuckled at some of their overheated parting rhetoric — especially the widespread misunderstanding about the meaning of the word “monopoly.” A monopoly is, as the Oxford dictionary explains, “the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service.” Quite obviously, if one stops doing business with a company and heads over to its competitor, then the previous company is not by definition in exclusive possession or control of a service.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
