On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Live,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) commented on the news President Donald Trump was moving his permanent residence from New York to Florida by calling Trump “repugnant” to New York.Cuomo said, “Donald Trump, I think, has alienated many people in the state of New York. You know he raised New York taxes when he passed his federal tax reform with the so-called SALT elimination of state and local tax deductibility. It cost New York $15 billion.”He continued, “His policies alienated New Yorkers. To be a real New Yorker, you have to be inclusive.
I thought President Trump was born and raised in New York, lived his whole life there. Am I mistaken? And who appointed Coomo arbiter of "real" New Yorkers?

Your father, Mario the Pious, was the meanest and nastiest man in America. You come in a close second to him, and your brother third. What a family! I said a close second because we can't forget about Harry Reid.

I've lived in New York and was stunned by the openly racist comments I heard around the state. I moved to Georgia, and its the complete opposite.
I had a mortgage where 60% of my monthly payment went to property taxes. And this was under Republican control.
I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Hey Guv! New York had over 40 Congressional districts after WW2. How many does it have today? How many businesses have closed down in New York? How many people in New York have left because their job left the state? Now why is that?
Spending half of my time in Florida now even though my main residence is in New York. I'm a snowbird. Lots of people tell me to make the move permanent.
Bad news for you Andy. If you want to see repugnant, just look in the mirror.
Millions of people will take Trump over Andy any day.

That determination is above Cuomo's paygrade. This is just a typical "Not a true Scotsman" type falacy. The fact is Trump was born there, worked there, and spent most of his life there. That makes him a New Yorker despite Cuomo's ridiculous ad hoc redefinition.

Trump to Cuomo: "I'm so incredibly sorry that I did or said something to make you believe that I give two dead flies about you or your opinion of me."

Inclusive NYC. Sure doesn't include Amazon.
Put on a MAGA had and walk around Harlem. In the ambulance you can tell us again about how inclusive NYC is.

"...SALT elimination of state and local tax deductibility. It cost New York $15 billion.”
Ha. Another way to put it, governor, is maybe you should cut back on your over spending by $15 billion.

"he raised New York taxes"
Oh no Andy. You and the lefty NY legislature did that and then foisted off your largess on the American taxpayer. Trump just made you pay your own bills. You're like a young adult using daddy's credit card and then daddy hands you the bill you raised and you whine that he is unfair.

Not really sure how eliminating the full SALT deduction cost NY anything.
I"m guessing many who didn't have that full deduction PAID more since they had less to deduct.
And, how about AOC deep-sixing the Amazon move. All those high-paying, six-figure jobs gone.
I doubt Trump will be the last millionaire, or billionaire to leave NY.
I would also presume your state will lose a House seat with all those who've moved away.

Bee Ess. President Donald John Trump did not raise the taxes in NY. The President reduced the amount taxpayers in other states were subsidizing the tax evaders in NY.

Cuomo doesn't know what a real New Yorker is. I do!
They are Trump loving citizens and they live in the Adirondacks and many other locations north of Albany.

#24 - Correct. And I am a resident of NJ where the SALT elimination hurt big time. People think it was just the high real estate taxes that were being eliminated, but it also included state income taxes that used to be deductible as well for Federal itemized tax purposes. And yes, it was a huge tax hit compared to the prior year. However, I accept the pain because frankly the rest of the states shouldn't have to subsidize NY, NJ, IL, CA, MA ..... Oh, BTW, I'll be moving from NJ in the near future because of this. And demoncrats ask why? They never want to accept that free people have the freedom of choice and that they will exercise that freedom anytime they choose.

Cuomo is actually ticked off because he isn't going to get that whopping tax money anymore. That's the real bottom line. Maybe he can make it up by having his 100% demonrat legislature write a law requiring that anyone who leaves NY has to pay a whopping exit tax. It wouldn't surprise me. Cuomo is money hungry.

By leaving New York, Trump is proving again that he is not stupid enough to continue paying the obscene taxes for CRAP services and liberal hate.
