Joshua Brown, a key witness in the murder trial of a former Dallas police officer convicted of shooting their neighbor in his own apartment, was shot and killed during a drug deal gone wrong, Assistant Chief Avery Moore said.
Brown was killed after an argument with one of three men from Louisiana who had met him in Dallas for a drug purchase, Moore told reporters.
A conversation between Brown and Thaddeus Green, 22, escalated into a physical altercation in which Brown allegedly shot and wounded Jacquerious Mitchell, 20, according to Moore.
Green then shot Brown twice, Moore said. Green took a backpack from Brown as well as the gun used to wound Mitchell.

Dallas police officials on Tuesday said at a news conference at Dallas Police headquarters that they have three suspects in connection with the shooting death of Joshua Brown.
All three suspects came from Alexandria, La., to purchase drugs from Joshua Brown, a police spokesman said. One suspect is in custody, and warrants have been issued for two other suspects. Assistant chief Avery Moore identified the suspects as Thaddeous Charles Green, Jacquerious Mitchell, and Michael Diaz Mitchell. Jacquerious Mitchell is in custody at Parkland hospital, Moore said.

Eighty-seven House Republicans have joined the movement to rebuke Rep. Schiff by cosponsoring House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs’ (R-AZ) H. What Did The Researchers do? Researchers used six pregnant Japanese Black cows, three in a 2017 session and three in 2018, the report says. For each nine-day session, researchers painted one cow with white stripes and one with black stripes while leaving one unpainted, the study says.

The mayor of Minneapolis, a Democrat, is trying to "antagonize" and "bully" President Trump to discourage him from coming to the historically blue state, a police union leader said Tuesday.
Lieutenant Bob Kroll, president of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis, said on "Fox & Friends" that Mayor Jacob Frey is discriminating against Trump ahead of his upcoming rally at the Target Center on Thursday.
Kroll's claims are in line with Trump's campaign manager, Brad Parscale, who accused Frey of "abuse of power" over a proposed $530,000 security fee to use the arena.
"It's disparate treatment," Kroll said. "They have not charged nearly that much for other events..."

President Donald Trump’s campaign accused Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey on Monday of trying to block the president’s scheduled political rally in the city.
“This is an outrageous abuse of power by a liberal mayor trying to deny the rights of his own city’s residents just because he hates the President,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said in a statement sent to reporters.
The Trump campaign revealed that Frey was trying to tack on a $530,000 security fee and other costs to the Target Center for the scheduled event on Thursday.

Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney criticized President Donald Trump over his decision to pull troops from Northern Syria.

Southwest Airlines' pilots union has filed a lawsuit against Boeing for $100 million over lost wages from the grounding of 737 MAX jets in the wake of two crashes and a myriad of safety issues. The lawsuit was filed in Dallas County, Texas, and alleges that Boeing represented the planes as "airworthy and essentially the same as the timetested 737 aircraft that its pilots have flown for years." The union called that assertion "false." "As pilots, there is nothing more important to us than the safety of our passengers," Capt. Jonathan L. Weaks, president of the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, said in a statement.
