New York - U.S. infections from three sexually transmitted diseases have risen for the fifth consecutive year. More than 1.7 million cases of chlamydia (kluh-MID’-ee-uh) were reported last year. The infection rate rose 3 percent from 2017. It’s the most ever reported in a year, though the trend is mainly attributed to increased testing. About 580,000 gonorrhea (gah-nuh-REE’-uh) cases were reported. That’s the highest number since 1991. The rate rose 5 percent. Scientists worry antibiotic resistance may be a factor. And the syphilis rate rose 15 percent. About 35,000 cases of the most contagious forms of the disease were reported — also the most since 1991.

The world had exploded into pieces; communication among them was difficult. Even though life feels safer now, we nonetheless have the same uneasy sensation that deceit has become ordinary. People say one thing, mean the opposite. The center cannot hold. President Trump complains a lot about the dishonesty of fake news. The fascinating thing is that the bearers of Fake News, such as CNN, flip the story so that Trump's complaints are said

With President Trump facing a high-risk impeachment, and far-left Democrat Elizabeth Warren now beating Joe Biden in national polls — including the latest IBD/TIPP poll — anyone on the productive side of the economy should be deeply worried, and ready to do anything to prevent Warren from getting the keys to the White House. Instead, some are already trying to make peace with the prospect of a Warren presidency. The chief of U.S. equity strategy for Canada’s RBC Capital Markets signaled on Monday that maybe an Elizabeth Warren administration won’t really be that bad. “Any pain from a Warren win is likely to be temporary,”

House Democrats are considering masking the identity of a partisan CIA officer behind a so-called “whistleblower” complaint regarding President Donald Trump’s telephone call with Ukraine from Republicans on Capitol Hill, according to a report. The Washington Post, citing three officials familiar with the matter, said Monday that Democrats are concerned Republicans will leak the so-called “whistleblower’s” identify upon testimony before House and Senate investigators. The Post states: Democrats overseeing the logistics of the testimony for the

New evidence emerged Monday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has been untruthful in telling voters she was fired from a teaching job because she was “visibly pregnant.” As Breitbart News noted Sunday, Warren’s campaign tale was called into question by a 2007 interview in which she suggested she left for lack of qualifications and interest. County records published by the Washington Free Beacon on Monday confirm that Warren resigned and was never fired. The Free Beacon’s Collin Anderson reported: RIVERDALE, N.J.—The Riverdale Board of Education approved a second-year teaching contract for a young Elizabeth Warren, documents show, contradicting the Democratic presidential candidate’s repeated claims that she

President Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller says 2020 Democrat presidential primary candidates are willing to “sacrifice the working class” of the United States to help illegal aliens. In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Sunday, Miller said the 2020 Democrats’ open borders agenda of decriminalizing illegal immigration and forcing American taxpayers to provide free healthcare to illegal aliens is a “great crime against” working Americans. LISTEN: “When those Democrats raised their hands, what that said is, is that they’re willing to sacrifice the working class of this country to siphon off their funds and their healthcare to benefit illegal aliens who violated our laws

President Donald Trump’s campaign accused Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey on Monday of trying to block the president’s scheduled political rally in the city. “This is an outrageous abuse of power by a liberal mayor trying to deny the rights of his own city’s residents just because he hates the President,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said in a statement sent to reporters. The Trump campaign revealed that Frey was trying to tack on a $530,000 security fee and other costs to the Target Center for the scheduled event on Thursday.

House Democrats in red states who have come out in support of impeachment are having a rough time defending their decision back home. Democrats who are back home for two weeks in districts that supported President Trump in 2016 are having to answer questions on impeachment – whether they like it or not. At one town hall, Illinois, Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL) was confronted by a woman who “tore into” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), accusing them of “lying their little butts off,” according to a report by Politico. She said the whistleblower complaint “looks like a bunch of 13-year-old girls gossiping.”

One year ago today, Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed as a Supreme Court justice by a 50–48 vote in the Senate. The vote brought to a close a vicious, partisan month-long confirmation fight, but the battle over Kavanaugh has never really ended. Just a few weeks ago, the New York Times Sunday book review section published an essay by Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, two New York Times reporters and co-authors of a new book about Brett Kavanaugh, in which they claim that a Yale classmate of Kavanaugh’s named Max Stier “saw Mr. Kavanaugh with his pants down at a different drunken dorm party, where friends

Yesterday morning, CNN's Jeff Zeleny reported that Joe Biden's presidential campaign has been deliberately shielding the candidate from interviews throughout the Ukraine ordeal because they don't want him confronted with numerous questions on the topic. (Snip for video) "This is a complicated area of discussion for the former Vice President, so I'm told he did not want to sit down for interviews or other things this week because he didn't want to specifically be asked a lot of Hunter Biden-like questions." That can't last. The man is seeking the White House. He doesn't get to duck and dodge uncomfortable questions indefinitely, especially

Then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein was determined to keep his big secret about a pending special counsel right up to the day his top candidate, Robert Mueller, sat down with President Trump in the Oval Office. “The boss and his staff do not know about our discussions,” Mr. Rosenstein said in an email to Mr. Mueller on May 12, 2017. Mr. Rosenstein’s “boss” was an apparent reference to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who had stepped away from any role in the Russia probe. This meant that Mr. Trump didn’t know either. The email was one of a thread of messages that the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch

The impeachment inquiry Democrats launched last month may ultimately hinge on a simple question: Did President Trump try to force a foreign power (or powers) to help him take down a political opponent, Joe Biden? But the backdrop of their effort is far more complex and convoluted, connected not just to Trump’s phone call with the president of Ukraine and related evidence but the three-year war of attrition the Democrats have waged against the president. Their main instrument was the Trump-Russia collusion story that roiled the capital until Special Counsel Robert Mueller pronounced it unfounded. Now they have moved on to one or more "whistleblower" complaints from within the intelligence community.

Perfidy — deceit and treachery — has always been a principal aspect of relations between nations. Since the 18th century, the United Kingdom has often been labeled “Perfidious Albion” for its diplomatic practices. The label was usually applied by France when British diplomatic perfidy briefly exceeded that of France. President Trump’s Monday announcement that U.S. troops would be withdrawn from northern Syria to make way for Turkish troops is a perfect example. It was both perfidious and a perfectly bad policy decision. In 2012–13, when then-President Obama was flirting with military intervention in Syria, I was opposed to it because we had no strategic interest in Syria

Three presidential electors in Washington state who voted for Colin Powell in 2016 rather than Hillary Clinton and were fined under state law, are asking the US Supreme Court to take up their appeal and decide whether a state can bind an elector to vote for the state's popular vote winner. "The original text of the Constitution," their lawyers argued in court papers filed Monday afternoon, "secures to electors the freedom to vote as they choose." If the Supreme Court agrees to hear the appeal of the so-called "faithless electors," it could thrust the justices into yet another high-passion political fight in the heat of the 2020 presidential election.

Turkish jets struck a Kurdish base near the Iraq-Syria border late Monday night, the first grim fruits of President Trump’s decision to order US forces out of the way — a decision we fear Trump will come to regret. We’ll grant that the president is delivering on a campaign promise here: Like most Americans, he doesn’t want this nation serving as the world’s policeman; other countries should share more of the burden when it comes to both troops and money. Or, as he tweeted Monday, “it is time for us to get out of these ridiculous Endless Wars.” He has a point, big-picture — but he’s making a big mistake here.

Southwest Airlines' pilots union has filed a lawsuit against Boeing for $100 million over lost wages from the grounding of 737 MAX jets in the wake of two crashes and a myriad of safety issues. The lawsuit was filed in Dallas County, Texas, and alleges that Boeing represented the planes as "airworthy and essentially the same as the timetested 737 aircraft that its pilots have flown for years." The union called that assertion "false." "As pilots, there is nothing more important to us than the safety of our passengers," Capt. Jonathan L. Ronald Mendez-Sosa, 21, Brenda Argueta, 20, Ervin Arrue-Figueroa, 20, and Francisco Ramirez-Pena, 24, all of Maryland, copped to the murder last week in federal court, the paper reported.
