Ellen DeGeneres has defended herself after coming under fire for sitting next to former president George W. Bush at Sunday's Dallas Cowboys football game. The comedian posted a clip from Tuesday's pre-recorded show to Twitter where she addressed the tweetstorm that came her way, captioning the video: 'Yes, that was me at the Cowboys game with George W. Bush over the weekend. Here's the whole story.'

Comments:

I don't have a problem with the Bush family being friends with liberals, but it sometimes seems as if they only bond with liberals

Meanwhile Ellen’s Lib friends are the ones who have opened fire on her. She is learning the hard way who the tolerant Americans are and who the others really are… Could be a rude awakening for Ellen. Will Mooch Obama refuse to visit her and dance with her again? Dunno. Mooch herself tried to do a little hustle on W.

Liberals can fit into a conservative Universe just fine because most conservatives know why some people are liberal and know that it stems from flaws in the human race that are not easy to take ownership of. Liberals are all on the path to conservatism as many conservatives have attested to. Of course, many get totally and completely stuck and never advance, but as Churchill famously stated - "Show me a young conservative and I will show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I will show you a man without a brain". However, the liberal viewpoint comes from a frame of reference that is much narrower in scope and much less inclusive. To the liberal, a conservative is a hateful idiot who cannot be explained. The liberal worldview is so crippled by selfishness and flawed reasoning that it is incapable of understanding how anyone could ever BE a conservative. This is why there are many different kinds of conservatives while liberals are pretty much in zombified lock-step.

#9, there is nothing of the classical 'liberal' about them. Like commies do everywhere, they co-opted the word to shield themselves. They are leftards and would-be tyrants, and that's all they are, no matter what they claim. History is replete with examples of what happens when they get complete power over a nation.

11, Does not matter. The conservative worldview knows why the Hitlers, Pol Pots and Stalins of the world exist too. The conservative realizes that ALL people are capable of corruption and great evil. It is the conservative who generally starts with the premise that we are all born with a slant to do evil and that a good government must, by law, check our sinful nature while our economic system must encourage us to be productive. The point I was making is this. A solid conservative is not surprised by anything. No evil surprises a solid conservative because the solid conservative sees the world as a battle between good and evil - both globally and in his own heart. It is the liberal, acting on the assumption that people are basically good, that is clueless about what makes people and the world the way it is. The liberal blames evil on anyone and everything OTHER than themselves. Liberals are working for the devil and don't even know it.

As I have said before, I think the claim that President Trump’s phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine somehow constitutes an impeachable offense is ridiculous. But impeachment is a political act, not a legal one, and the Democrats’ motives are entirely political. They think that impeaching President Trump will cast a pall of discredit over him and weaken his chances for re-election in 2020. I think that calculation is probably right. We will see a great deal of impeachment-related poll data in the months to come, but this early survey, reported in the New York Post, suggests that the Democrats are on the right track:  Headline corrected*
