Press reports say it was entirely spontaneous, the president’s own idea,

Hints the already high level of political hostility were about to reach record intensity gathered like storm warnings in the press last week. According to the New York Times "Oregon’s 11 Senate Republicans fled their state with little more than spare underwear and their passports. They disappeared into Idaho cabins and motels" to avoid voting for taxes on climate change. (Snip) That chaos and divisiveness bordered on open revolt. It’s hard to think of a moment quite like President Trump’s spur-of-the-moment summit with Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone between the communist and free halves of Korea. We watched on the internet from Maine. As Mr. Trump stepped toward the demarcation line at Panmunjom only to be swarmed by photographers, we suddenly wondered whether he might be kidnapped. Laugh not. It almost happened to us on one of the several visits that we’ve made to the joint security area where the Armistice Commission meets from time to time.

Sunday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” network regular Elie Mystal took a shot at African-American voters who cast a ballot for Republicans. In reference to questions from Donald Trump, Jr. about Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and her race, Mystal accused African-American voters that vote Republican of having their votes “colonized” by Republicans or Russia. Donald Trump Jr., talking about whether Kamala Harris is black enough is like me talking about whether Idris Elba is hitting the gym hard enough,” Mystal said. “It’s dumb, it’s ridiculous. Obviously, look: There’s always going to be five, to ten, to 12 percent of African-Americans who have their vote colonized by the Republicans, or by

A black transgender woman wanted to be heard, but the white men wanted to celebrate. The scene at New York City's Stonewall Inn on Saturday, as reported by multiple witnesses on social media, showed how long-simmering tensions between transgender women of color and white gay men have boiled over during the celebration of World Pride and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising. The unidentified woman wanted to address the crowd inside the Greenwich Village gay bar where patrons fought back against police harassment 50 years ago, birthing the LGBTQ movement. She arrived unannounced and disrupted a drag show, drawing an unfriendly response at first.

After watching the first two Democratic Party presidential debates last week, it has become crystal clear that there are embedded in this nation’s body politic prospective oligarchs who are overwhelming threats to the future of the nation. The Democratic Party and its puppet masters are unquestionably a clear and present danger to the United States The primary threat to this nation is not Donald Trump nor his supporters but an evolving autocratic oligarchy made up of the hierarchy of American Left, which includes elements of the political class, the mainstream media, the education establishment and, most recently, the titans of Silicon Valley.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling pretty good about the election after last week’s two-day Democratic clusterfark, and the president has got to be feeling pretty good too, since he just won it. Oh, we have 17 more months of media pimping of whichever commie candidate is currently the least embarrassing, but the debates made it very clear that Trump is going to be POTUS until Ric Grenell is on the victorious GOP ticket in 2024. In the Dems’ defense, they do have an uphill battle. The economy is on fire, we’ve dodged all the new wars our garbage elite has proposed, Mueller (who went unmentioned) delivered only humiliation,

How do Democrats sell their policies when the economy is doing well and unemployment at 50-year lows? By avoiding the subject. At least, that’s what Democrats did during the two nights of debating. The very first question asked in the first debate, by Savannah Guthrie, was about whether the Democrats’ far-left agenda would risk the economic growth we’ve been enjoying. “Seventy-one percent of Americans say the economy is doing well, including 60% of Democrats,” she said. “What do you say to those who worry this kind of significant change could be risky to the economy?” Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the first to answer, pretended not hear the question.
The Lie of Portland’s Antifa replies

There was a time when “anti-fascist” meant what it said. People who opposed fascism called themselves “anti-fascists.” But then the term slipped. The definition of “fascist” became hazy from over-use and so the term “anti-fascist” also began to move. This might seem to be a theoretical matter. But it is one that ends up encouraging and condoning horrific scenes like those in the center of Portland on Saturday. For some time, self-described “anti-fascists,” or Antifa, have been finding spurious and imaginary reasons for demonstrating in the city. Though these are less like demonstrations than carnivals of civil disobedience, violence and intimidation. One of the very few journalists

Everyone knows about EVs — electric vehicles. But EVs are also something else: Elitist Vehicles. The least expensive EVs costs a lot of green — $30,000 to start for the Nissan Leaf, several thousand more for the next-up Tesla 3 ($35,000) and Chevy Bolt ($36,620), and way up from there. The typical new EV sells for south of $50,000. Plus another couple thousand for a “fast” charger, so you can wait 30-45 minutes to get going again rather than all day. The average person can’t afford this — in money or time. But he is forced to subsidize this, which is an interesting thing given the hardest pushers of EVs are affluent liberals—

The toxicity of the resistance to President Trump has risen in recent days, with the nation's most respected newspapers publishing rationalizations for denying Trump supporters public accommodation and for doxxing career federal employees, while a journalist found himself under physical attack from the so-called anti-fascist group Antifa, which has stepped up its violent activities since Trump's election. The justification for denying public accommodation came from the Washington Post in an op-ed by Stephanie Wilkinson, the owner of a farm-to-table restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. Wilkinson became famous in June of last year, when she refused to serve White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders and and told Sanders

Grubhub has created thousands of Web sites that masquerade as the sites of restaurants — a practice that can jack up prices for hungry customers, The Post has learned. The online food-ordering giant, which also owns Seamless and Menupages, has scooped up more than 34,000 URLs since 2010 with names that are similar to restaurants’ own Web addresses, according to a database obtained by The Post. In some cases, Grubhub creates a version of an existing restaurant site by changing a dot-com to a dot-net. In all cases reviewed by The Post, Grubhub’s copycat sites use the restaurants’ logos — even as they direct customers to its Grubhub and Seamless sites.

OSAKA, Japan — At a time when the American political press could not possibly do any more to embarrass itself, CNN’s Jim Acosta strikes again. This time overseas after President Trump spent the weekend meeting with the world’s most powerful leaders. “Do you agree,” Mr. Acosta slithered, “that it is despicable for a government to kill a journalist?” Who gave this idiot a microphone? Who gave him a press badge? Who would give this nut a minute of airtime? CNN, apparently. The once-vaunted international television network was once known for its brave reporters who covered wars under falling bombs from inside the war zone.

Media pundits and anchors seemingly switched gears in recent weeks and now consider the immigration problems at the southern border a "crisis," after months of downplaying the issue and blaming President Trump. Recent reporting on the southern border has shown overcrowding of federal facilities, outbreaks of disease, issues with migrant children and general chaos -- raising questions of ethics and legality regarding immigrant detention and processing. Grabien News published a media montage earlier this week of various news figures and commentators from major networks minimizing the crisis and accusing Trump of being untruthful.
