The toxicity of the resistance to President Trump has risen in recent days, with the nation's most respected newspapers publishing rationalizations for denying Trump supporters public accommodation and for doxxing career federal employees, while a journalist found himself under physical attack from the so-called anti-fascist group Antifa, which has stepped up its violent activities since Trump's election.
The justification for denying public accommodation came from the Washington Post in an op-ed by Stephanie Wilkinson, the owner of a farm-to-table restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. Wilkinson became famous in June of last year, when she refused to serve White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders and and told Sanders

The left always, ALWAYS initiates the violence. They always justify their antics. And when the backlash comes (is backlash racist), they are always surprised and horrified at the tactics of the very same people they were assaulting 5 minutes ago.
A backlash is coming. The bear can only be provoked for so long before it bares its claws and teeth. And this bear has more in its arsenal than spit, clubs, bricks and harsh language.

Does anyone seriously doubt that there are forces within or connected to the Dim/Enemedia crime machine who would gladly pay for, or at least surreptitiously help enable, an assassination? We all know it.

And if this Wilkerson loon ever finds herself in my path, she's going to find her nose firmly planted in her throat. According to her, I could claim she's an 'unsavory individual' who promotes violence and bigotry. Therefore, I'm justified in my actions. Better to stay at your roach infested restaurant with the rest of your dirty clan than show your face where you risk retaliation.

Another excellent piece by the clear-thinking Byron York.
With the left, that is, Democrats, running out of arguments (cf. the economy, open borders) they are resorting to violent intimidation.

Being spit upon should get an IMMEDIATE hard right to the face, with a busted, bloody lip as the goal. THAT is a fair trade. Being civil when they are not is a fool's errand.
They are animals, and the pushback should be painful to them financially and physically.

Last time I had a milkshake, it didnt include acidic fast drying cement. And Bryon neglected to mention the attempted massacre of Republican Congress members by a leftist in 2017.

And even a waitress who spits on someone should get the punch in the mouth. They don't want the norms of civil behavior to be followed, so why should we?

The headline kind of brings to mind the Antifa problem in Portland over the weekend. I would say Byron is right for a change. I think that TDS is going to reach fever pitch, and plenty of people are going to be attacked, just for attending a rally peacefully. So unless Trump starts enforcing the law against these terrorists, when the locals refuse to, we are going to see an outbreak of violence next year. Trump can and should stop it this time. Looking out for his voters that way, will go a long way to insuring his reelection. IIRC, Eisenhower used something called the Insurrection Act to deal with a big problem back in 1957, /rump could and should do the same. Civil Rights/free speech is a two way street, and doesn't just belong to the minorities.

Game on to put the WaPo out of business. And several other news outlets. AG Barr, how's it coming with the dims' Russian collusion indictments?
