Hints the already high level of political hostility were about to reach record intensity gathered like storm warnings in the press last week. According to the New York Times "Oregon’s 11 Senate Republicans fled their state with little more than spare underwear and their passports. They disappeared into Idaho cabins and motels" to avoid voting for taxes on climate change. (Snip) That chaos and divisiveness bordered on open revolt. Jimmy Carter suggested that a full investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election would show that Donald Trump was illegitimate. Not to be outdone Democratic presidential candidate Julián Castro says President Trump liked to terrorize

"If the basis of popular government in peacetime is virtue, the basis of popular government during a revolution is both virtue and terror; virtue, without which terror is baneful; terror, without which virtue is powerless. Terror is nothing more than speedy, severe and inflexible justice; it is thus an emanation of virtue; it is less a principle in itself, than a consequence of the general principle of democracy, applied to the most pressing needs of the patrie. "
Who gets to say what virtue is?
Who's justice?
And "patrie", homeland, does not exist according the modern leftist.
This is nothing more than a justification of mob tyranny.
But it is the nature of tyrants to disguise what they are.
Pure evil.

When Democrats figure out that they cannot defeat decent, rational, common sense people with legitimate means, Democrats may decide they have no choice but to get rid of decent, rational, common sense people... with violence.

As I read this article, I was reminded of a line from the movie "Tombstone" in which Wyatt Earp tells Ike Clanton: The Cowboys are finished, you understand? I see a red sash, I kill the man wearin' it! The same logic could be applied to black masks.

FTA:
"As Robespierre put it, virtuous men have no choice but to employ any means necessary:"
They are starting their 'virtuous terror'. If it comes to me, they will not like my response. These thugs are ANYTHING but virtuous, they are evil, they are violent, they are totalitarians. They will be answered in kind if they insist on this.
They really are tuning up for Civil War 2.0, and unless our law enforcement and prosecutors start ACTUALLY working to stop these thugs, there will be a lot more blood.
I sincerely hope we do not go down that path, but it seems that the FBI and the DoJ are too busy covering for their criminal leftist political games under Obama to actually enforce the laws and the Constitution today. Notihng is being done to protect ordinary people from these thugs.

#8, calling that guy a journalist is a misnomer. He was a propagandist, never a journalist.

When traditional law enforcement does not do its job, after a time, the average citizen will pick up the slack. Nature abhors a vacuum. I would say that unless Trump invokes some serious response to these thugs, he is going to be responsible for all the injured Trump supporters next year. He was not in a position to stop it in 2016, but he sure as heck is now. And screw the judicial Obamabots. Tell them to go pound sand if they try to stop him. This is all on the Left and their puppet masters, and we know who they are. The media and their refusal to condemn the attack on Ngo is very very telling to say the least. They just gave up any right to cry about any future attacks on one of their own.

First for the old fart Carter, a disgrace to the Navel uniform he once wore, and the office he held.
Antifa needs to be meet with an equal and opposing level of force. That reporter was beaten to near death. Had he had a CWP, or someone around him, he would have been able to protect himself. I can assure you in SC, TX, LA, AL, MS, none of those animals would have been left standing.
If the left think they are going to get a pass every time they try to kill someone, let them keep picking at the scab.

Anyone that shows up at any gathering with masks and clubs should be arrested on sight for threats! It's that simple! Fine should be $50,000 smackers and 6 months in a hard labor prison...where Bubba gets his way with all of them! Maybe the punks will get the message...if not fines go up X 10 and prison term the same!
