AOC paints grim picture of
U.S. migrant detention centers:
'People drinking out of toilets'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sharply criticized the conditions at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) detention camps, stating that migrants were subject to “systemic cruelty.” “Just left the 1st CBP facility,” the New York congresswoman wrote on Twitter. “I see why CBP officers were being so physically &sexually threatening towards me. Officers were keeping women in cells w/ no water & had told them to drink out of the toilets. This was them on their GOOD behavior in front of members of Congress.” On Monday, ProPublica published messages from a Facebook group of roughly members, including current and former Border Patrol

Comments:

Such a blankety-blank liar. And she treats the border patrol agents like garbage.

It's not called Yahoo! for nothing. OTOH, if they're really drinking out of the can and having such a lousy time of it, the word might go south that sneaking in is worse than a zero-sum game. Maybe it's a better idea to fix your own s-hole instead of importing it here.

An article posted a bit earlier has a photo from a detention center showing that the toilet sits below a water tank with a drinking fountain/sink at the top, where there is a label "potable water." It is most likely that AOC couldn't figure out this arrangement. She went there with preconceived ideas and didn't wait to begin her rant. I sure hope someone had a camera but I doubt that was allowed. Someone needs to take her to court for slander. Ramona (the Pest)

I love how AOC and her ilk throw around words like "systemic." I do not think she knows what that word means. It would be like me calling her ignorance "systemic' on casual observation. I don't do that. Her ignorance is her own personal responsibility...not the result of some systemic failure to learn. She was offered an education. What she received was an indoctrination. The result is ignorance.

The Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started a Conversation With (a skit from SNL that captured AOC to a tee eight years before anyone heard of her) now has the job of advocating for invaders at our southern border. She is obviously a useful idiot for MEChA, La Raza, commies and other Latinx enemies of the USA. Some gems from this barely literate AA genius: “These women are drinking out of toilet bottles!” “We have to respect that these beautiful chickas don’t like White people in their new nacion but they like my white outfit because women need to vote and down with the patriarchy! I’ll have to read more about that.” “I care about my brown sisters so I brought a sleeve of my own scrunchies for them and something I found at Duane Reed called Fancy Feast. It’s all pre-made in little tiny cans with gravy. Salmon, tuna, turkey! Yum! Instead of that food that has old sell-by dates they get at the cages where they stay. Heinous! I got five cans and I’m giving them to the little children.” “Some of women walked here from Africa! Like, hello? It’s called Uber.”

Maybe they do this back in their own country, or maybe they know the water in the toilet is cleaner than what they had back in the dung hole country they came from. There is a line in the movie Patton and it has a reporter asking Patton if the Italian prisoners have enough latrines. Patton responds, " Hell, they didn't know what a latrine was until we showed them". My father was in the 5th Army during WWII, and he stated something very similar to that when the army was moving through Italy.

A significant provision making any student loan forgiveness tax-free has been included in the $1.9 trillion federal coronavirus stimulus package that’s working its way through Congress and will likely soon be signed into law. Currently, any student loan debt canceled by the government can be considered taxable and levied at the borrower’s normal income tax rate. For example, if someone earns $50,000 a year, and was at a 22% tax rate, and received $30,000 in student loan forgiveness, they might be slapped with a $6,600 bill from the IRS. Soon, borrowers may be off the hook from these payments. What

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
