HERSHEY, Pa. — Chuck Duncan is not the kind of guy who sits on the sidelines. Duncan, who serves in the National Guard and was deployed to Jordan last year, was outraged when his local board of supervisors decided to raise property taxes to pay for a $32 million community center here. “I saw that as irresponsible, so I decided to run. It was as simple as that,” Duncan said. On Tuesday night, he battled it out in a three-way primary for Derry Township supervisor — and won. Duncan is one of several local candidates in Pennsylvania being funded by the new Kennedy Democrats PAC,

The Utah Supreme Court suspended a judge for six months without pay this week over disparaging remarks he made about President Trump both online and in his courtroom. The court ruling points to several instances where Judge Michael Kwan, who has sat on the justice court bench for the City of Taylorsville for two decades, violated Utah’s judicial code of conduct. Kwan made a biting remark about Trump’s polices during an exchange with a defendant in January 2017. The defendant said he planned to pay off his court fines when he got his tax return money back. Kwan mocked him for thinking he’d be getting money back with Trump in office.

As a team of U.S. Navy Seals prepared to take down the mastermind behind the Sept. 11 attacks, Admiral William McRaven had some frank words for his troops. While recalling that raid during an interview on "Fox & Friends," McRaven said he treated the raid like "any other mission." "What I told the guys was, 'look, it is going to be easy to get overcome by the moment but just do your job.'" The storm hit Thursday in D.C. as members of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, better known as “The Old Guard,” were planting flags at each grave at the cemetery as they do each year at this time. “During the storm, one of the most extraordinary displays of discipline and dedication to duty ever to be witnessed at Arlington National Cemetery was taking place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,” the Old Guard’s Facebook page said in a post.

The president’s latest provocative words came in a tweet on the first day of a three-day trip that is supposed to be high on symbolism and goodwill for America’s close allies in Japan.
