Around 49 guests with Hubbard's Marina in Madeira Beach went on a shelling excursion at around 11:15 a.m. Friday when they found a roughly 10-foot Great White shark 25-75 yards from the shoreline of Shell Key. The shark was seen in the area for following large schools of tarpon fish as it was "displaying a calm but curious demeanor." AGADIR -- Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially confirmed today that Alireza Tangsiri, commander of its naval forces, died after sustaining severe injuries.
Last week, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Israeli forces killed Tangsiri in an overnight airstrike, and that the operation also killed senior naval officers. He claimed that Tangsiri is the one responsible for many “terrorist” operations and blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian authorities however did not confirm his death at the time of the Israeli announcement. The US -Israel – Iran war continues after US and Israel carried out a joint strike against Iran on February 28, targeting Tehran and several Iranian cities.

A Ventura County woman has died from a rattlesnake bite she suffered while hiking at Wildwood Regional Park, authorities said Wednesday.
The recent fatality marks the second rattlesnake-related death in California this month. Experts say record-breaking heat has made the snakes active earlier than usual.

With the economic and scientific premises behind electric vehicle (EV) mandates collapsing, the EV bubble may burst completely. There is one mandate left to burst: California’s Advanced Clean Cars II (ACC II) regulation, which requires all new vehicles to be 100 percent electric by 2035, or else automakers get penalized.
With the federal repeal of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Endangerment Finding in February, the government’s formal scientific basis for EV mandates is gone. State governments no longer have a rational scientific basis for requiring EV sales.

Sharks in the Bahamas have tested positive for cocaine, a new study concludes.
Researchers from the Bahamas, Brazil, and Chile also found traces of caffeine and painkillers in the sharks. This isn't a shift in lifestyle from the animals, but rather something that's being forced upon them, as marine pollution becomes ever more pervasive.
Finding traces of these substances in a tropical place widely seen as idyllic and pristine is concerning – it seems there are vanishingly few spots on Earth where wildlife can escape our influence.

In February 2009, the future Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar married a man named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. It was her first legal marriage. The marriage ceremony was conducted by a Christian ministesr. There is no dispute about these facts, which are recounted by the Post.
All available evidence points to Elmi being Omar’s biological brother. No evidence points away from this fact.
But I have never understood the fixation on motivation. As with my “motive unclear” series, the alleged inability to confirm a motive does not erase the underlying act.
Perhaps immigration fraud
MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — Golfing legend Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash on Jupiter Island just after 2 p.m. Friday, deputies said.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred near 281 Beach Road.
A picture taken by WPTV at the scene showed a Range Rover on its side.
The agency said they are currently investigating and will provide additional details as they become available. Sheriff John Budensiek was expected to speak at 5 p.m. at the Jupiter Island Town Hall.
It's unclear if Woods was injured in the wreck.
Woods was involved in a severe crash in California in 2021, where he suffered multiple leg injuries.

Yes, we have them here! Best time to see great white sharks in the Tampa Bay region is winter and early spring, after that tasty tarpon. Orcas are also around. Bull sharks are probably the most dangerous creatures around here. They'll bite anything. The swimming pool is safer than the Gulf of America.
