Swalwell threatens FBI with legal action
as Patel reportedly weighs 'Fang Fang'

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., is threatening legal action against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as it reportedly considers releasing potentially damaging files just weeks before he faces voters in California’s wide-open gubernatorial race. Lawyers for Swalwell sent a cease-and-desist letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, warning the bureau would violate federal privacy law if it moves ahead with releasing records regarding the congressman’s decade-old relationship with a suspected Chinese spy named Christine "Fang Fang" Fang. "[Y]our attempt to release the file is a transparent attempt to smear him and undermine his campaign for Governor of California," Swalwell’s attorneys

Comments:

Typically, Swalwell makes a foolish move that’s guaranteed to bring him even more negative attention.

I think I was once approached by a Chinese spy seeking technical information. This was at a New Years Eve party of a Science Fiction club in Palo Alto, CA, back in 2000. She was a very attractive young Asian woman, said she was a graduate student at nearby Stanford U. So I did what any single guy would do, try to get to know her. Where do you work, she asked? Siemens, writing real-time communications software. Her interest picked up. She asked if I did any work to interface that data to the internet. Well, actually no, we connect to T1 data lines and such. A few more questions, and it was “Nice to meet you, goodbye.” My conclusion was: she was seeking information that would help China to better censor the internet, and so was chatting up engineers in the heart of the Silicon Valley. How old is Fang Fang? Maybe that was her?

The quisling Swalwell, who consorted with our enemy, reportedly has a net worth of $400,000. He's done plenty of illegal stuff. Send a few examples to a grand jury and indict him. Break him financially and emotionally. Make him so poor he has to rely on court appointed counsel. Then put Mr. Poot in the prison that he wanted to put Trump in. Piddle on him.

The Rutherford County Library Board in Tennessee fired its top librarian for refusing to move LBGTQ books out of the children’s section. The board voted 8-3 Monday to fire library system director Luanne James after she said she would not move more than 100 LGBTQ books from the children to the adult’s section, The Associated Press reported. The board voted earlier this month to move the books, saying they cause “gender confusion” for young children, especially those going through puberty. “Follow the law,” a Rutherford County school board member said when speaking in favor of moving the books “Protect the children. Now, more than 80 years after the end of the Nazi dictatorship, anyone can click through millions of index cards in the US National Archives without registering, and search for the names of their own grandparents and great-grandparents. The data contains information on 6.6 million Germans who were members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) until 1945, stored on more than 5,000 digitized microfilm reels. But the records are incomplete: According to the German Historical Museum, in 1945 "one in five adult Germans was one of a total of 8.5 million party members" and thus, at least on paper, supported the fascist regime.

Leftists from around the world descended on Cuba over the weekend for a “humanitarian” trip aimed at protesting the United States’ oil blockade, and they played the role of useful idiots perfectly. President Trump is clear: Long-standing threats like the one emanating from the Iranian regime cannot be managed indefinitely. At some point, they must be confronted directly. That moment has arrived. The region is under attack. Missiles and drones are targeting infrastructure, economies, and civilian life. But this is not a story of a region breaking. It is a story of a region proving the resilience of what it has built. Because what is being tested right now is not just security. It is the economic and strategic model the Gulf has spent years, and in some cases decades, building. And under pressure, it is holding up remarkably well.

So Prince William is a good Anglican after all. He has told the Times, through an aide, of his commitment to the Church, on the eve of attending the installation of the new Archbishop of Canterbury. But does he consider himself a Christian believer? The statement awkwardly dances around that question. It leaves the impression that he does not really consider himself a Christian, but knows that he must keep this semi-veiled. The statement is difficult to analyse because the words are not quite his. They come from an aide; he presumably signed them off, but there is an air of vagueness and deniability in such a not-quite-statement.

As a nation, the essence of who we are as a People is rooted in our Judeo-Christian values and principles, dating back to the Magna Carta.
