Why Europe is wrong to think Iran is ‘not
our war’

Among the pub-table strategists and commentators in Europe talking about Iran you often hear the phrase, “This is not our war.”
That’s a view as wrong as it is strategically unwise.
Of course it is our war. It is far more our war than America’s. The infiltration of European societies by Islamist networks is further advanced and more acute here than in America. (And solidarity with Israel, whose very existence is under threat, ought to be far stronger in Germany than in the United States.) But even if one believed it was not our war, or even if one were disappointed

Europe spent fifty years of the Cold War against the Soviet Union pretending it wasn’t their war. This is nothing new. They know that the American soldier and taxpayer will always be there.

Most of the European countries are screwed. They’ve let so many mad Islamists into their countries they’ve become citizenry. The leaders can’t join the war because the islamos will go crazy. Yep, they’re screwed.

Western Europe is comprised of arroganr freeloaders. Their social programs would not exist without the US taxpayer having payed for their defense over the past 80 years. It is time for the US to leave NATO and the feckless UN.

"Now Europe needs to stand with the U.S. to make use of it."
It's too late for Europe. They have distanced themselves from an existential threat to the point where they were not even asked to be a part of what was done to resolve the problem because they are untrustworthy. They deserve NO consideration in the aftermath. That can have a lot of outcomes, mostly very bad for Europe. America is NOT dependant on Europe. They are not our friends any longer. They have abandoned the foundational connections that extended through history and they are unlikely to be rebuilt. They will suffer for that greatly. Not because of actions the US will take but because the actions Europe are taking are heading down a path of failure and America is NOT going to extend itself to rescue them. They will stand alone with their stupidity and fall with it.

The EU has devolved into a bunch of Leftist simian brained MORONS.
They have figured out how to Lie Cheat and Steal but nothing past that but screeching and acting TOUGH.
It's WAY PAST TIME to Totally Jettison the UN, NATO and get a FULL REFUND, WITH INTEREST FOR ALL the MONEY America has given the EU Morons since the end of WW II!

Just a thought. It took two wars to lead to a peaceful continent, one that was not at war with itself. This was a desirable outcome. Can’t say I blame them for disarming, for pacifism. Without that missives would fly across the Channel regularly. But…Islam is at war with Europe

While I believe that our European allies should join us to put an end to the Iranian regime, I disagree with the author. The Iran war is not their war. Before the launch not one European ally was consulted. The US made zero attempt to bring allies on board. President Trump presented them with a fait accompli and now is demanding their help, which, unlike the posters here, he would be very happy to accept.
The Iran war, however, is a distraction from the internal problem that is Europe's real problem, namely the hoards of Muslims in their countries. I would be thrilled if instead of fixing the Strait of Hormuz that President Trump broke, they would begin the difficult, but necessary, task of removing Islam from their shores.

#8, I suspect that Trump's primary reason for not consulting our NATO "allies" that he knew they would leak like a sieve any war plans he broached to them.

Europe, it is your war, it just doesn't look like one. The Muslims in your country are growing in number. Once they have the votes, they will control your country. I hope you like hijabs, praying five times a day, no more beer and wine, and Sharia Law.

There's nothing quite so lazy as a European, except when it's a Muslim residing in Europe.
No European country, since 1945, has ever seen a war they felt was "theirs."
American taxpayers should NOT be required to fund NATO from this point forward. Let them all "bask" in the "light" of their Trump Derangement Syndrome, until the time comes to pay for their own self-defense. When they check their bank accounts the day after Direct Deposit occurs from the U.S. Treasury, their angst will hit their "world news tonight" desk and it will be broadcast at full amplitude on endless loop, "Our ALLY has abandoned their "commitment" to NATO!" Hell, they might even drag in Greta Thunberg to scold us at the U.N., "United States of America, how dare you!" /s
