Last week, FBI Director Kash Patel fired a dozen agents who worked on the case investigating Donald Trump for taking top-secret materials to his Mar-a-Lago residence after his first term was over. Those agents have now been revealed to be part of an elite group specializing in assessing threats from Iran, according to two reports.Multiple sources with knowledge of the personnel move told the New York Sun and confirmed to MS Now that the layoffs impacted the counterespionage group tasked with investigating threats from foreign adversaries out of Iran just days before the US bombed its leaders.

"Multiple sources", "according to"... gutting the elite force that would otherwise have saved everyone from war or worse... Oh! The humanity!
These, the worthies who rifled through Melania's drawers, indispensable saviors doing counterespionage in selfless sacrifice - fired by Bad Man Orange's stooge. We are doomed.

I wouldn't exactly call these people reliable. If they were doing bad thing before, they cannot be trusted. They are better off gone. Plus, I doubt that the FBI is the primary intelligence source for a foreign intelligence issue. The Mail is stirring the pot, which is all the Left seems able to do lately.

The intelligence about Iran has been 1000% better without them, who were sabotaging the USA with leaks to the WaPo, NYTs, and to Iran.

As #1 said.... anonymous sources, etc. If they are anonymous, then how is there any confidence that they are telling the truth? Sounds to me like a hit piece on President Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel.
Who is the 'Daily Mail' working for, TODAY?
FBI is SUPPOSED to be Domestic.... the CIA is SUPPOSED to do the Foreign work.
From what I have seen and read, the overall job is SUPERB!
#5, I remember that line from that movie! Made me laugh, just remembering it! Thanks!

Ha Ha Look what a failure the Iran attacks have been without these "elite Iran specialists"... Daily Mail is a Marxist propaganda rag.

CIA has foreign responsibility, FBI domestic. After pawing through Melania’s underwear, I’m surprised these guys were still in the FBI. Probably because it takes a long time to fire a government employee. Also, I’m sure they had replacements in place before they let these guys go.

Thre was a reference in this article that seemed to indicate that these people, now let go, where in on transferring secret docutments to Mar a Lago AFTER Trump had taken the documents HE chose to take. I remember that the historic documents people forced a few pallets (pallets!) of documents on Trump with the excuse that they didn't have room for storing them. What a great way to sneak in classified material that later was FOUND when Mar a Lago was raided. You know, a set up.
Letting them go was .... too kind.

The FBI needs to return to its roots: crime and domestic threat and that does not mean a woman attending Mass. Under Mueller, the FBI became this intel/counter-intel agency and everything was focused on those two areas at the expense of their basic crimefighting responsibilities.

Yay! Another Kash Patel hit piece, attack the weakest link. How do I know it’s a hit piece? FTA “”… Multiple sources with knowledge of the personnel move told the New York Sun and confirmed to MS Now..”” This person says that that person said so therefore it’s truth so let’s keep repeating. I’m getting old I guess. I crave adult journalism. Event, facts, live report. People who respect I have a mind and I’m not afraid to use it.

"The FBI's global espionage unit known as CI-12 includes spy operations with special forces in Cuba, Iran, and other proxy nations, as well as other terror organizations."
That sounds like they were working as the CIA!

Blockbuster News!
The sister-in-law of someone who once knew a key person who knew an operative in one of the intelligence agencies was told by a source close to a defense analyst that an unidentified military officer spoke with a foreign counterpart who asserted that an operative with inside knowledge of the battle plan believes that - - that - - that - - Orange Man Bad!
The Trump administration had no comment.

The FBI needs to be OUT of the Counter-Intelligence business ENTIRELY. Their focus was, by Congressional Charter, INTERNAL; finding bad guys lurking amongst our general population, occasionally collaborating with INTERPOL and foreign police units on international criminal cases. The CIA is supposed to handle external threat assessments, not the FBI. Granted, as 9-11 taught us, there is a need for a "mediator" on issues involving each, but right now it's likely that the FBI steps all over CIA "toes," and vice versa, together with situations like the Mar a Lago Raid taking place involving highly partisan FBI Agents.
The question remains - did the FBI actually FIRE these Agents, or were they just put on "paid administrative leave," enjoying a taxpayer funded, months long vacation, above and beyond their annually allotted, and "bankable" quantity?

Good for Kash Patel. Looks like he's cleaning out the demonic snakes out of the FBI.
I agree with the other posters. What are those FBI agents doing in intelligence on Iran? That's
not their lane. Kash is doing what we all wanted, finding the traitors in the Bureau and getting them out. God bless him.

Remember that report is from the Daily Mail that always runs anti-Trump accusations. So how this allegation will survive legitimate Inquiry is anyone’s guess.
