President Trump announced Thursday that Senator Markwayne Mullin (R., Okla.) will replace Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary.
The announcement comes after Noem struggled to stand up to a public grilling by members of the Senate Judiciary Committee who pressed the former South Dakota governor on Tuesday about a $220 million ad campaign contract that was subcontracted to one of her longtime allies. Trump was furious at Noem for insisting during the hearing that he had personally approved the contract and began floating Mullin’s name as a potential replacement, National Review first reported early Thursday.

Wednesday on MS NOW’s “The Briefing,” former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) said “Texas will save the country” when Texas State Representative James Talarico (D) wins the Senate seat in November.
O’Rourke said, “When James Talarico wins in November, he will be the 51st vote in the US Senate. Texas will save the country.”
He added, “I mean, Trump would not intervene in this way unless he was panicked. He understands that if Talarico wins, if he is the 51st vote in the U.S. Senate, then there’s going to be a check on Trump’s criminality. There’s going to be consequences for his corruption. There’s going to be the possibility of free and fair

You’ll be sorry. That was the warning from Iran to the U.S. on Thursday as it responded to the torpedoing of an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean, with a Muslim leader adding a call for “Trump’s blood.”
As Breitbart News reported, the U.S. Navy sank the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena Tuesday night in the Indian Ocean which Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has since decried as “an atrocity at sea.”
A U.S. nuclear-powered submarine delivered the fatal blow in international waters off Sri Lanka as part of Operation Epic Fury.

In the Twelve Day War, the Israelis understood that Iran's missile production had allowed the mullahs to conduct nearly unlimited ballistic warfare against them. Launchers were Tehran's vulnerability at that time – at least the one that the IDF could exploit with its own resources. Israel destroyed enough of them in June to slow down the massive barrages, although toward the end, more of the missiles leaked through their defenses.
This time, however, Israel has an ally with much more firepower. Launchers became a point of vulnerability again, with the US and Israel focusing on the mobile launchers in the first waves of attack.

Nobody wants to talk about it, because the subject is still politically touchy.
But countries that were, not so long ago, implacable enemies of Israel have not just made their peace with the existence of the Jewish state, but (almost) openly allied with it both economically and militarily. It would be a mistake to assume that the implicit alliance with Israel began with Operation Epic Fury or Israel's Roaring Lion. Everybody knows that Iran has attacked a range of Arab countries with its retaliatory strikes, so it makes sense that these Arab countries would join in the hostilities in one way or another without regard to Israel's participation.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has had a change of heart, and after first denying the U.S. use of its military airfields during Operation Epic Fury, he’s now partially greenlit the idea, and our B-2 stealth bombers are expected to land at RAF bases in Britain and the island of Cyprus in just a matter of days.
Cyprus is a British Overseas Territory administered by the U.K. and is home to RAF Akrotiri, a key forward operating base for the Brits.
The B-2s are coming:
American B-2 stealth bombers are expected to land at British military bases "in a matter of days" to join the campaign against Iran, The Telegraph has reported.

Illegal immigration, even more than men in women’s sports, is the hill that Democrats are determined to die on. They think the issue is a winner for them. In my own state, Minnesota, public officials openly encouraged citizens to interfere with federal law enforcement–such is the Democrats’ commitment to keeping illegal aliens in the U.S.
But polling indicates that most Americans are on the Republican side of the issue. Most recently, check out this Harvard/Harris poll. It is full of interesting findings, which are generally good for the GOP. But I want to focus solely on the illegal immigration issue.

Will we get tired of the winning before we get tired of the fighting? That political question hangs over all the successes of Operation Epic Fury, even after just four days of hostilities. The news on that question may be better than some believe.
We'll get to that in a moment. First, though, let's review all of the winning. The joint US-Israel war on Iran continues to expand without any effective defense from the regime's forces. The IRGC continues to launch ballistic missiles at Israel and every US partner in the region, barrages that have done mild damage to structures and taken the lives of six American soldiers

When a country spends two decades lying through its teeth in negotiations, that nation should not feel shocked when no one will help pull its chestnuts out of the fire. The chestnuts its leadership still has, that is.
Since the beginning of joint US-Israeli war operations, the remnants of Iran's regime have remained publicly defiant. They have declared that the IRGC and other military forces have inflicted massive damage on Americans and Israelis. The USS Abraham Lincoln is thisclose to being sunk!
Privately, however, the regime knows it's cooked if they can't get an end to the intensifying barrages of Operations Epic Fury and Roaring Lion.

California Governor Gavin Newsom is doubling down on his support for a California law barring teachers from informing parents of their child’s gender transition after the Supreme Court blocked the law in a temporary order this week.
The law, signed by Newsom in 2024, allowed teachers to withhold information from parents if their student experiences gender dysphoria. The law further requires that teachers use a student’s preferred pronouns.
“Teachers should be focused on teaching — not forced to be gender cops,”

American and Israeli forces have struck nearly 2,000 targets in Iran with more than 2,000 munitions in the first 100 hours of Operation Epic Fury, also named Roaring Lion by Tel Aviv, the commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Tuesday.
Meanwhile, top Trump administration officials told Congress to expect an even larger wave of strikes in the coming days. CENTCOM: Operation Epic Fury doubled scale of Iraq's 'shock and awe'
Adm. Brad Cooper, leader of U.S. Central Command, stated that more than 50,000 U.S. troops, 200 fighter aircraft, two aircraft carriers, and long-range bombers are participating in the operation, the largest U.S. military buildup in the Middle East in a generation.

Texas Republican congressional candidate and state Rep. Steve Toth defeated Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) in the primary election for Texas’s 2nd Congressional District.
In a press release, Toth expressed that “voters want a representative” in Washington, DC, “who will stand firm in his convictions” and “fight for his constituents,” according to the Texas Tribune.
“Congressional District 2 voters want a representative in D.C. who will stand firm in his convictions, fight for his constituents, and follow through on his promises,” Toth said. “I won’t let them down.”
